It's one of my favorite genesis games. Shouldn't even be on this list.
I have fond memories of JG Footbrawl. I would play that and Mutant League Football all the time. I didn't play it for football realism, i played it because i was a kid with limited options and those 2 games were quirky fun.
Blitz the league was amazing!! I got NFL Tour and NFL Tour is a pick up and buy. Canadian football should have no buisness on the list it's not even done yet you know that wait till the game is officially done.
You seem to have your games mixed up. Canadian Football was a completed and released title. Maximum Football is the current version that's out.

Worst football game I've ever played is "NFL" on the NES. Awful doesn't describe it enough. "NFL '97" on the Sega Saturn was also awful compared to the Joe Montana NFL series that preceded it.
Joe Montana was pretty legit for it's time before madden took over in the mid nineties 👍

Hot route mode was actually fun on the Wii if you knew how to draw routes. But by god Franchise mode was so Animated and so uninspiring. The Touch Passing was stupid because you can’t bullet or low pass and can’t change Secondary Coverage

I was expecting Atari's original football to be on this list as well as the first Madden for the SNES. I also thought there was a Quarterback Club game that was just the exact same game as the previous installment.
A little constructive criticism....first off the good. You do a very good job of narration and give interesting facts about the games. A very good job, however when you state in one of the clips that a game isn’t bad, I question how it can be on a list of the worst 10 of all time. There an many...MANY football games out there that are far worse than the ones on your list. I’m not sure if you didn’t take the time to look or perhaps you didn’t have the resources to get game footage from them. Quarter back attack is just one example as well as many other terrible 80’s and 90’s PC, NES, SNES, Genesis etc games. Some are just completely unplayable. I have played all the games on your list and, while some are not good, most are playable. Anyway, the editing and production of the video was very good. This was not meant to be a harsh criticism of your work, rather some observations of what you could do to improve it. There are far too many unwatchable videos on TH-cam as it is. Luckily you’re as good as you are at the creation, just may need some work on the execution.

You totally forgot to mention that NFL on the Nintendo didn't have the play art in the game, you had to look at the instruction manual to see what the plays were.

There was the predecessor, NFL Head Coach, that also didn't let you play football. I don't mind either of these installments as they're better than any Madden on the PS4/XBONE

John Elway football (NES) the infamous wr reverse play that would make the wr run 100 mph.
Madden '97 (SNES) game was slow and EA was more focused on PlayStation at that point anyway.
Pro Quarterback (SNES) even the video store clerk tried to talk me out of renting it.
Madden 06 (PS2) post or lob to Moss every play.
Madden 16 (Xbox 1, PS4) 5 yard slants are thrown to the bleachers.
10 Yard Fight (NES) that wasn't even football.

NCAA 2002 was the first college football game I played so that’s a legendary game to me

Madden 19 is the worst one in several years... I played the 10 hour demo and went back to 18 with updated rosters because it was so bad... idk how they get away with the inferior product without getting hit with terrible sales... shame on the drones that buy it every year regardless of how good it is

Are you serious bro? Pigskin Footbrawl was not meant to be an authentic gridiron football game. It was meant to be a fun, party version of football. My brother's and I spent countless hours playing this game. Once you learn the nuances of it, it turns into a very strategic game. Bad list bro, bad list.

This list is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too modern. All of these games are infinity more playable than the games on my list.
10. Touchdown Fever (NES)--awful game that played more like rugby with all the laterals and inability to really pass the football.
9. ESPN Sunday Night Football (SNES/Genesis)--one of those early to mid 90's games that spent more on the bells and whistles than the actual gameplay itself
8. NFL Football (SNES)--game that tried to take advantage of the Mode 6 scrolling on the Super Nintendo, but instead, left you with a mess of a game. Just awful.
7. ABC's Monday Night Football (SNES/Genesis)--another game that focused more on outside stuff like a TV license than actual game play. Cookie cutter, buggy, and just not fun to play
6. NFL Sports Talk Football '93(Genesis)--some might not like this, but I put in many hours and this game was just not fun to play. The lack of speed on the game makes running a complete slog and completing passes consistently is next to impossible. Even a demo of the game looks bad.Such a disappointment considering it was supposed to be a big time upgrade over Sports Talk Football, a game that while flawed, was more fun to play than it's successor. YO!
5. Madden Football 64--okay, you nailed that one. Putrid first offering. My stepbrother had it and it pretty much soured me on the N64
4. Pro Quarterback (SNES/Genesis)--the craptacular graphics, the lack of any ability to defend whatsoever, the impossibility of completing passes...and worst of all, it spawned Troy Aikman Football. Yuck
3. 10 Yard Fight (NES)--the original and still sucks as much as it did 33 years ago
2. John Elway's Quarterback (NES)--to this day, I still don't know how to throw a pass on this game. It's terrible. The graphics suck, the gameplay sucks, the AI sucks...and somehow it's still not the worst...
1. NFL Football (NES)--because THIS GAME IS. Not only is this hands down the worst football game ever made, I'd argue it's among the 3-4 worst NES games ever made period. First off, it's literally the slowest game I've ever seen. Every one moves like they're in quicksand. It's tedious, dull, has this awful zoom feature that makes gameplay so much worse, especially when throwing a pass. But worst of all, if you don't have the manual that came with the game, you can't understand the playbook because ALL THE PLAYS ARE IN THE MANUAL! So you're just randomly picking stuff and have no idea what you're actually doing. And of course, it was published by LJN. Of, fucking, course. Seriously, watch a video on it here. All these games look like Tecmo Super Bowl or NFL 2K5 compared to that shitshow.

Pigskin isn't that bad, just it's not football, it was just a funny take on it (no rules, rugged terrain, medieval times, etc), and Blitz II is amazing.

Jerry Glanvillle's Footbrawl was based on the Atlanta Falcons style of kickoff returns and punt returns in the late 80s and early 90s. This was during the period Deion Sanders and others from ATL special teams would lateral the ball for player to player. It was fun to watch and the game was awesome.

Good list. I laughed at the gameplay videos you showed for #4. If I was making this list, I would have included the Game Boy Color version of Madden 2001 and the Super Nintendo game named "NFL Football". Those were also very, very bad games.
1:14 the ballcarrier movement QB movement in the pocket looks way better in this then in Madden 19 and NCAA 14

Madden 16 Aggressive Catch was so bad.
It was. However,after adjusting the sliders to improve the A.I. defense here and there along with some of your sliders,it played pretty well for me with a good mixture of challenge,football simulation and realistic scores.

I was sort of expecting to see that arena football game that was released in like 2007 or whatever year it was as I've heard that game was not very good, but it looks like it didn't make the list and maybe someday somebody could release another arena football game and make one that's memorable in a positive way.

lol, no. Supermassive Black Hole came out in 2006. Muse makes their own music with their instruments; they don't sample. Plus, I can't imagine hearing Supermassive Black Hole in the year 2000. XD
I got a cord my old ps1 was missing for $3 on ebay and I played NFL Blitz 2001 today for the first time in many years. I still enjoyed it even though I can easily win using the same two offensive plays. My eight year old daughter enjoyed playing a game with me her team vs my team. Dad's Saints prevailed over her Raiders it was lots of fun.

I'd replace Kurt Warner's Arena Football Unleashed with EA's 06-07 Arena Football series. The developers didn't seem to know whether they wanted a realistic or arcade game and made it a bit of both. They also got the rules wrong, didn't have any commentary, and didn't have real arenas even though they had the renderings of most of them from NBA Live and NHL.

NFL Quarterback Club 2000 on the N64 is abysmal. Such a huge letdown after NFL QB Club 99.
Anything with Akklaim attached to it. They were almost unplayable compared to other offerings like Madden, Gameday and Blitz back in the day.
Blitz the League II was legendary. Just replayed the Franchise mode a couple weeks ago. You're insane if you think either one of those games sucked.

While Canadian Football 2017 was clunky, I honestly played it more then Madden 17. Just felt Madden had games scripted so you'd either win or lose, no matter how ridiculous things would go to get that outcome. Excited for Doug Flutie's Maximum Football 2019 with the strides Canuck Play has been making.

You talking about NES play action football dude I had that game my mom got it for me cuz she thought it was Madden she didn't know about video games and it was awful but once I played it cuz it was the only football game I had I got into the nuances of the game and it was weird it was diagonal across the screen and slow as shit always played with the Oilers though are you stand I don't even know if they could be called the Oilers

As fast as Blitz the League I & II gameplay is, it's still a fun & unique sports game to play. Not to mention, you can intentionally injure the players during the game and bring them back in the game by injecting drugs. Definitely one of the best & underrated sports game ever made. It's like straight out of a Rockstar Game.
