I find it hilarious that ChromeDome is usually an insult or nickname for a bald person. Granted Hardhead isn't exactly a compliment either. Surprise there wasn't one called Airhead or Brainfart.
I like the Japanese version of the headmaster's origin better than the Marvel one. The whole concept of Nebulos just doesn't work for me for some reason.
Agree, the real cybertronian being only the head and the body being a vehicle is much better, not only allows them to save energy without having to become Micromasters but allows them to exchange bodies and as long the head survives they won't be killed. They even have the advantages of the comics Headmasters without their disadvantages.
Very interesting. I remembered reading something about this years ago, back when I first discovered the Japanese Headmaster series. I wonder how the others were different.
Used to have the original G1 toy, sadly he ended up destroyed during a rather bad dysphoria moment. Love the IDW take on the character, it was heart wrenching when Rewind died and such a beautiful scene after the duplicate Rewind was saved from the duplicate Lost Light and he and Chromedome sat on the hull of the ship together without a word needing to be said. Got the Titans Return version packed away with the other headmasters from the same line, sadly don't have the space to have that many figures out.

@@anthonycourt7977 my fave TF media!
I wish I had the money to put together all the toys of the crew of the Lost Light.
,@@FortMetroplex I've started collecting mastermind creations idw line it's the most accurate to the comic pages
MTMTE Chromedome forever.
Never forget that him and Rewind snuck into Roller's truck compartment and were "canoodling" inside of him.
Wow I had this toy and never knew the name! Thank you. I used to love this guy so much. Cheers Chris.
I find it hilarious that ChromeDome is usually an insult or nickname for a bald person. Granted Hardhead isn't exactly a compliment either. Surprise there wasn't one called Airhead or Brainfart.
Or Numbskull
Airhead would work with transformer with flying altmode, to reinterpret his name he could be air commander
I think you kind of described Highbrow and Brainstorm without meaning to.
What about Scrap face
IDW Chromedome has like me been through a lot of suffering and he's stronger for it and has a partner unlike him I simply live alone.
BOOM!!!!! FLASHBACK!!!!!! I had this toy! And loved it.
I always loved the chest peice that showed stats for the figure when you put their head in
I like the Japanese version of the headmaster's origin better than the Marvel one.
Agreed
I always liked his role in the Japanese Headmasters. I never realised he was so overlooked elsewhere in G1!
I always thought Chromedome and the other Season 4 bots came from Paradron.
IDW Chromedome was good with his fingers.
No wonder he rewind loved him so
Very interesting. I remembered reading something about this years ago, back when I first discovered the Japanese Headmaster series. I wonder how the others were different.
What a lovely video to watch in June
Used to have the original G1 toy, sadly he ended up destroyed during a rather bad dysphoria moment. Love the IDW take on the character, it was heart wrenching when Rewind died and such a beautiful scene after the duplicate Rewind was saved from the duplicate Lost Light and he and Chromedome sat on the hull of the ship together without a word needing to be said.
Got the Titans Return version packed away with the other headmasters from the same line, sadly don't have the space to have that many figures out.
Chromedome is my favorite character from Transformers Headmaster
