- After struggling with gambling addiction, Ike Dweck slowly turned his life around. He has gone on to help others in need.
He created the SAFE Foundation which is a New York state licensed OASAS (office of alcoholism and substance abuse services) outpatient treatment program located in Brooklyn, New York. They serve as a reliable haven for those experiencing difficulties with cigarettes, vaping, prescription drug addiction, alcoholism, and compulsive gambling.

Today is the day that i will change myself. i dont want to be stuck, i dont want to watch everyone around me move further in life and me standing there. I dont want to lie to my close ones about things that gambling caused me. I dont want my relationships hindered by me being a gambling addict. i want my life back im still young this is not the life i want.

Winning money is very addicting…. The heart breathing through my chest before the dice come out and the adrenaline rush when hitting my numbers…. And the pure rage when I lose…. It’s addicting. And if I stop…. Who is gonna care if I don’t.

Omg, this happens to my brothers, sisters, cousins, neighbors etc they just keep quiet 🤫 some die in silence. Some are strong to stay away etc....lots of problems 😢have faith in God to survive this storm that is hitting humanity right now. Stay far far away. There is no such social gambling. They are destroying humanity
Gamblers do not think logically as he states. He owns an abuse center. He makes money from them. He does NOT sound as a recovering gambler. Hypnotism, the only chance. I know.

You just said it. Alcohol was destroying my body mind and spirit, boy gambling doesn’t have the risk of health so i made that excuse for myself all the time. Always the excuses. I am coming up on my fifth weekend free of going to casino. Praying I can stay free of that BS.

Gambling is the worst addiction my son borrowed lots of money from people he has no friends and ruined his married I don’t know what to do with him I paid some of his debt but he keep doing it I’m planning of abandoning him

You have done the initial thing is to admit it. Congratulations! Follow a 12 step program. I have realized it's no different in drinking addiction, in that you can't have just a little drink, you're off the wagon, you can't just do a little gambling, you end up spending all you have. "Don't go!" delete the apps. Get a calendar and a bunch of gold star stickers. Give yourself a gold star for every day gamble-free, it's literally a day-to-day thing.
Same bro, today is my last day and im serious about it. I have a serious problem. I keep chasing the same high i get from my rare wins. Its almost like im trapped. But starting now. Only i can make this change.. and it starts today

Who gives permissions to casinos to literally killing people all around the world?
I had a terrible gambling addiction back in the 1990's. It nearly destroyed me and and changed my life for the worse. I managed to kick it and more than 2 decades later I have no temptation. Even a Casino opened in my area several years ago and never feel the urge.
The casino wasn't killing me, I was. It was my fault totally. Today I have zero debt and enough to live well into old age and beyond. Not having excuses and the humiliation helped cure me.

I got into slots about a month ago..won 4 grand on the 2nd day...at this point im probably 5 grand in the hole. Unless you can leave when up and able to follow strict rules best to avoid
Bad gamblers don't associate their loss amount with how much their job pays. I'm sure he didn't. He's just rationalizing. The very sad thing is they are ok with losing. It's a rush....pain.

I began my gambling back in 2015, when i lost my job and I'm still actively engaged in gambling to this day. Reflecting on my earnings over the past decade, it's astounding to realize that I've amassed a million dollars in income, from my regular salary. I could have easily saved for a new home and made some good investments. I've allocated maybe $500,000, towards expenses such as rent, show-off living, restaurants, travel and car-related costs. However, my gambling habit has resulted in a loss of half a million dollars. I feel sorry for myself, I feel sorry that I have put my family and my partner is a weird situation. I need help.
I win in poker but it’s not good for me emotionally…
I feel so sorry for all gamblers that get stuck in this nightmare. You must never play slot machines or go to casinos etc. You can perhaps win on horses if you don’t bet often, but you need to know what value is and the form of the horse you are betting. I always tell everyone that they should never take up gambling on anything if you haven’t started. Plus you have to get burnt before you understand what you are doing. You can quit this nightmare but it must come from you, don’t look at anything concerned with betting. Anyway I wish you all the best in quitting.

Damm, I’m in a casino right now 😕 gambling. I spend every Saturday here for the past 10years. Never had a losing year. I gamble with a bankroll separate from life money. 😕 I have monetary and time stop parameters. I know my game inside and out, I never (very rarely) disobeyed the numbers, I never (very rarely) drink alcoh0l 😕, I see big tippers, they don’t last. These dealers smile with everyone. They break my b@lls though, they see me like their coworker or something😕, I don’t look at gambling as a big score. It’s an hourly for me 😕
When I used to see my dad betting on horses and dogs as a child the days he won I used to think I want some ov this a lot is lernd behaviour I’m a gambling addict alcoholic drug addict I always felt less that so I allways wandered more ov every thing I’m nearly 4 years sober all because ov aa and the 12 steps 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼📕📕📕❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cannabis(THC) does help wonders for some people, you cannot compare it to destructive toxic substances with no medical value..
Stimulant drugs for example, are REALLY dangerous for gamblers because they amplify it 10x❤
It's a sucker's game win often to keep u wagering. On the horses pros can win long term but you need to have actuarial skills or pay for people to do the math. A big bank over 300k is needed to start with and they only gamble 1 or 2 percent per bet. It's a business and if the advantage or edge isn't there they won't bet they will go play golf or take the kids out somewhere. For Some people it's a very serious long term problem that effects every aspect of their lives.
