- Michael finds out the saboteur is Sabrina, who fears for her brother's life and wanted to stop him from racing, but Kelly is determined to get the win for Danny. As the race begins, Michael is at a loss for the killer's motive, but he soon learns Carstairs' high-income promotional contracts have expired and he needs a win to keep his sponsors interested. KITT gets a test of his new traction system when Michael enters the race to stop Carstairs from carrying out his deadly plan.
From Knight Rider Season 2 Episode 17 "Speed Demons": Michael is sent to investigate the death of a motorcycle racer in last year's Oakside charity race, which happens to be sponsored by the Foundation.

Always wondered why there was never a Airwolf Vs Knight Rider crossover. That would have been awesome to see the ultimate 80's Supercars Vs the ultimate 80's Supercopter.
Well considering one was Glen larson and broadcast on NBC and the other was donald bellisario on CBS the likelihood of that happening was a Longshot at best

Always funny how Michael tells KITT to do something as he randomly pretends to push buttons at the same time as if he's doing it himself also. Makes no sense
Maybe Kitt warms up his systems as Michael is turning systems on and off, or Michael switches on and off systems to get the most of KITT's resources, like connecting to an satellite service that's faster than others for example.
From what I gather watching this for many years is Michael is pretty much giving kitt access to do his tasks he needs to do.... Kitt still has to wait for Michael's permission....althoe this is not force fed to the viewer it is hinted at in lots of episodes. ONLY when human life is danger does ktt have full control. There are some episodes where Michael locks kitt completely out of any car functions. 👍🏼
Thank you. That sounds good but I remember Michael sitting in the seat and telling KITT to do something/look up etc and not pushing any buttons too. He often reaches up and pretends to push buttons on the upper console buttons or even the blank upper console not even touching any buttons. I think David just did that because it looked cool, especially to the kids, but watching it as an adult just looks silly because he obviously isn't doing anything or with any consistency. "KITT, patch me in to Devon" as Michael reaches up without looking and randomly presses buttons to do it himself. hahaha
@@nicolasfernando1408 That's always how I interpreted it, that Michael was accessing KITTs functions that may or may not be related to what he was asking KITT to do. Maybe he was opening up certain comms channels (back to FLAG computers or elsewhere) or putting KITT in Surveillance Mode, etc.
2:25, I hate it when Michael speaks harshly to KITT. I know he is a computer with supposedly no feelings, but he always had manners as opposed to Michael who took himself often too seriously.

I think I have a pretty good idea what that means. Problem is that I can't verbalize it in a way that makes sense.

@@brettnelson7048 KITT is calling the agencies a bunch of thieves and after interfacing with their computers he wants to make sure nothing was stolen.

As said below.... I think he means his software/hardware gets damaged /corrupted when connected to agency computers.... I guess like running apple software on a Windows 10 emulator... You may need to reboot a few times to get Windows back to normal👍🏼
