Yeah that's because there was a different type of kitts ...... while filming....... Eg a stunt car.......close up cameras car.....n the hero car! 😃

Also the blue assasins car looks similar to the episode custom made killer.
And the windows broke BEFORE impact.
@@sundelight8230 custom made killer was a different car I believe. It's the same make and model, 1975-76 dodge coronet as the green one in that ep (the red ABC white one before it goes through the car wash was a Plymouth fury). It's missing the cowl hood and spoiler and the bumper mechanism is different. It's likely a different car.

I love Knight Rider. I'm doing the same thing today as I did when I was a kid 30 years ago. Some station on Saturday used to air 2 hours of Knight Rider back to back, followed by 2 hours of the A Team so I'm doing at least the Knight Rider today. The whole series is for free on NBC's website if you need your fix.
I like that they matched Michael's jacket color with the villain's vehicle color.

Haha, despite obviously playing different roles from their previous appearances, it's kind of like these guest stars come back for revenge on Michael for locking them somewhere unpleasant. Here, the guy who played Joey last season in "The Nineteenth Hole" looks like he's back to kill Michael for locking him in the trunk of his car. In "Knight of the Juggernaut", Nicholas Worth smashes KITT as a way of revenge on Michael for locking him in a dumpster in last season's "Knight of the Chameleon" lol
Uhg. My god. Was that ACTUALLY the most incompetent assassination in TV history? I think so. Telegraphs his easily avoidable attack. Gets ~stuck~! Then proceeds to accidentally drive off a cliff..no, embankment. And explode.

The dirt road had a sharp tight curve and he wasn't paying attention to it. He was trying to ram the Trans Am into the ditch and failed to react quickly.

Yeah, the car looked pretty bad to me, but it's not the hero car. Just the one that gets smacked into. KITT in the show took no damage from the other car.

The whole car looks like it was crashed and rebuilt on site like 5 times already:D But they replaced it back to the real KITT for the closing scene.

Yes it's super obvious watching it today on higher resolution screens that KITT looks different during those action scenes. but even back then on old CRT TVs we always noticed the big gaps when stunts happened and quickly determined they must have put some type of outer covering over the car to protect it. Not a bad idea but the front gaps always gave it away. Don't know how they could have covered the nose to avoid it though
