If you want to give it a shot and play single player there is a mod called Plugy that gives you a virtually endless stash that can be shared between your characters, so you can transfer gear and such. That's what I've been doing in my spare gaming time, and it's nice because B.net can't delete your characters and accounts from being inactive. Plugy also has all of the ladder rune words and drops enabled, plus it has the mechanics built in to spawn uber diablo for annies and to farm keys for opening uber tristram and the other portals. Basically you get the B.net ladder experience offline at your own pace.
why not use crescent moon phaseblade as a viable alternative? since you don't have lightning mastery with this build, the damage will take a hit, but you got an even higher decrease in enemy light res (-35), ias, ed (better lifeleech), two funny cl and static field procs in addition to ignore target defense which enables you to hit much better (your ar didn't seem to be the best). and an um rune is much cheaper than six 5/-5 light rbf's obviously
I use Cres moon with my version and it’s phenomenal, equal if not better clear speed to this build WITH enigma. The only other items I’m considering trying are Schaefer’s and stormlash. But that -35 light res is nicccce. I also run conviction on my merc and fant on my pally for better AR vs bosses, better base damage vs immunes and faster attack speed for more life tap procs 🤷♂️
All the builds you make remind me of the D2PK dayz. We would do “no-meta” pvp or “item skills only” pvp. We used to make some cool stuff. Its crazy to see people are just now making some of these builds that would now be 10 years old. I love it.
My very first unique build was aura bowadin. Dream helm, ice bow and dragon armor. Though, I switched the ice bow with brand often because of the fire splash damage. For a melee auradin, you could use a doom zerker axe. Not as fast as a phase blade but it does have some nice mods along with a holy freeze aura.
lmao.. its always fun in theory but if youre gonna melee.. a simple zeal pally with fanat,high defense and proper gear would tear through stuff way faster than anything (besides hdin)
maybe you can use rune word ''faith'' with act 1 mercenary to get fanaticism and maybe stacking more dmg giving points into holy shock instead salvation, i dont know it's just an idea, maybe i'm wrong PD: i'm noob in this game anyways i like this build, good :3
There are 3 socket Paladin shields.A Paladin shield also gives a higher chance to block, you can save some points, put them into vitality instead of dexterity.
I tested double dream conviction pala with a few setups. As boring as it may be, for me Grief + Fortitude performed by far the best. Either way double dream pala is by far my favourite build in D2.
Biggest flaw of this build that’s often overlooked is attack rating. Having only 5900 attack rating is sooooo terrible. Your hit chance on he’ll bosses is like 20%. Does nice damage tho
You're right, mana burn is an absolute bitch in D2. It is bugged so instead of burning 4xdamage it burns 256xdamage, essentially always draining all of your mana in 1 hit.
i found a pvp charge version using hand of justice and dragon armor so you can have holy fire and holy shock so get conv to 150- then max the resist lightning and resist fire and salvation then the rest into holy shield and charge
For palladin, i prefer using Zealot with Head Striker Sword for deadly strike, gore rider boots for crushing blow and Vampire Gaze Helm for life leech dan mana leech... Belt legendary demonhide sash for damage reduce.. Laying of Hands for glove give 300% damage to demon (because all boss is demon)... for chest i use Guardian Angel for increase my max resistance and for shield i usualy use any all high resist shield.. Ring = raven frost (anti frozen) and wisp projector ring, Amulet : highlord / atma (for immune physcal mobs)
Once again, cool build but mercenaries do not receive bonuses from elemental % such as Nightwing or Infinity stats such as the -50% enemy light resist.
Had a similar build online. Dual Dream but instead of the rainbow weapon and armor i used grief and forti. And gore riders for cb. Pala was more or less easily able to solo Uber Tristram. Building up a new Pala in singleplayer / Plugy right now. Still missing the second Jah rune and another Lo rune though. Farming takes like forever :D Edit: attack rating charms help a lot. Since you have lots of space in your inventory left, you could fit a few 130+ ar max-dmg gcs in.
i do a 3x fire aura build also with Hoj PB, 2x dragons.. get couple nice ravens/ grid ammy or angelics. stack inventory with ar life gcs and scs and its a beast pvp build. with chage zeal. your zeal dmg is insane..
Better to use dual dream ( hat shield ) rock the holy shock skill and get an infinity merc with dream and eth coh for LL, I rock that currently on ladder and seem to do WAY more damage than your doing ( 170 - 30k zeal )
I remember when you could stack, I'd stack about 5 or 10 times and I could do hell diablo runs with out even touching a minion. Most die in 1 or 3 Schocks even with a full party
Mana burn is indeed annoying, especially on a WW barb, WW into a pack and all mana gone instantly with every hit you take, frustrating to say the least.
Yeah this Facet stack build is old.. Personally I go for making builds to be used in GM duels, so no Dracul's, which actually will put the other elements in a build to the test if you wanna take Diablo/Baal runs etc

I would have used a chains of honor instead of fortitude because of the need for leech on your merc. Also dream in paladin shield, unless you want to use it on other than paladin imo. Other than that, good work and i always like your videos @Xtimus. I hope to see you do more path of diablo mod.
Dragon and hand of justice worked when u could stack, now it's pointless I use a 6 faceted crystal sword and a jeweler's ap of the whale with 100 life and 4 more facets with infinity merc and run holy shock on skill bar, works far better

Ivan Kra it's crap since they patched out stacked auras, this guys build is lame too tbh, I use 6soc cs with x6 5-5 light dies 4soc jewlers archon plate of the whale with x4 5-5 light die dual dreams , maxed lightning aura and act 2 merc with infinity, can walk in any direction and everything goes splat, also offence life gcs ect, flip redemption on every so often for sustain and I never have to melee shit just go for a stroll lol
What happens if you use a lvl 20 holy shock in addition of your 2 dreams instead of using conviction, and you give infinity to your mercenary so you still have the conviction aura?
The Dream skills will stack together from your helm and shield, however will not stack with that hardpoint skill. itll take higher level aura and use that instead of the other, making your 20 skill shock overridden
U shld go with a blessed aim merc to get ur ar up even tho ur conviction takes away enemy defense... might isnt that important either is deadly strike since ur physical dmg is low to begin with

Eduardo Locatelli it's not really being pushed as a speed kill build or anything... it's just a creative build that lost people wouldn't think to use anymore. It can be fun to have variety in viable builds like this, elite or not.

I think with hoj and dragon much better the auradin build. This holy shock build is overpriced and weak. I mean under the weak: low resist, u cant do anything againts the full immun mobs with only light and phys dmg. :S
The Dream Paladin is the strongest Malee Char in the game there is no Monster in Diablo 2 who is complete immune to the Dream Paladin. I never had a problem with it.
Yeah! Neverending! Have to collect all Items: Sets Uniques, & Rares .. How many Rare(yellow)s are there?? Ontop of that got to Match the Set Items to Each Character e.g I Have a Immortal King's Will Helmet , w/ my Paladin, & Cathan's Staff w/ Assassin, Necromancer has Druid's Aldur's Helm etc.. but I think Rares are Hardest to get, cuz there are no List of them!?? Like uniques or Set Items or Runes/Runewords !😜

You could try this build with a Crescent Moon weapon. -35% elr and %static field on striking makes which is pretty cool.

In numbers zealer destroys hammerdin but AR, lack of enemy piercing and the lesser mobility of zealer makes hammerdin come out on top easy.

Why don't you use a Paladin shield for more resistance?
Paladin shields have to many slots for the rune word Dream.
There are 3 socket Paladin shields.A Paladin shield also gives a higher chance to block, you can save some points, put them into vitality instead of dexterity.
Sacred Targe is probably the best alternate option, but I have never been able to find a 3 socket for it.
I have 3 socket paladin shield with + 1 to paladin skills best for dream but I'll just keep it incase my GF makes a auradin. Im mostly a zon or sorc

you should check out a bowsin using 20 pts in burst of speed for a ton of ias and a widow maker for guided or faith with fanta

why did u max zeal? If u put the points into Sacrifice u get more DMG
more AR probably. If you can't hit then damage means nothing.
u have a lvl. 20-25 Conviction Aura so u don't need AR, it decreases the enemy Armor by 90%+

Idk, I just checked my Auradin and and if i remove ether Dream item my damage is 11K, it's 22K with both Dreams equipped

This is Base numbers, no equipment, only +1 Offensive Aura Grand Charms used to boost Holy Shock to level 30.

Your videos are cool for helping new d2 players out or others who don’t know much about d2. Man you really should not use plugy while posting videos because it exposes item level which yours are 99. It looks like equipments created with editor. Anyways love your videos.

i remember my auradin. i didnt even have to melee, all i did was charge around and everything would die. pvp was so easy hahaha. man i miss d2. they ruined their game with d3.
Wonder if anyone ever tried that build with 4 auras going then getting an act 3 merc geared the same so the merc would have 4 auras pulsing too.

@@johnhowardz9524 Nah no clue, but I am sure he didn't actually farm all ten jewels that all happened to be perfect and having the same visual. He may have found one or a few perfect ones and then simply copied them e.g. with GoMule. Again it seems I am not able to tell you anything you don't already know xD

Eduardo Locatelli it's not really being pushed as a speed kill build or anything... it's just a creative build that lost people wouldn't think to use anymore. It can be fun to have variety in viable builds like this, elite or not.

I think with hoj and dragon much better the auradin build. This holy shock build is overpriced and weak. I mean under the weak: low resist, u cant do anything againts the full immun mobs with only light and phys dmg. :S
The Dream Paladin is the strongest Malee Char in the game there is no Monster in Diablo 2 who is complete immune to the Dream Paladin. I never had a problem with it.

Yeah! Neverending! Have to collect all Items: Sets Uniques, & Rares .. How many Rare(yellow)s are there?? Ontop of that got to Match the Set Items to Each Character e.g I Have a Immortal King's Will Helmet , w/ my Paladin, & Cathan's Staff w/ Assassin, Necromancer has Druid's Aldur's Helm etc.. but I think Rares are Hardest to get, cuz there are no List of them!?? Like uniques or Set Items or Runes/Runewords !😜
I made a viable pvp auradin.. build is sort of secret though, the only thing i lose to is bvb and smiters.
I love your builds but I think in this video it would be easier to count the words that you pronounced properly instead of counting the mispronounced words lol
