- A New Chapter for Vinshine Audio: Farewell to DENAFRIPS
DENAFRIPS has ended its relationship with Vinshine Audio. As of now, Vinshine Audio is no longer the distributor, representative, or marketer of DENAFRIPS products.
This is by no means the end of Vinshine Audio. I view this positively as a new beginning, a commencement. As one door closes, another one opens. We are excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Likewise. It reminds me of the falling out OCD Mikey had with Denafrips years ago after representing them in the USA. I recall his case was Denafrips demanded exclusive representation which is so silly. Choice is always a good thing for consumers.

This is a real shame. You, Alvin, and Vinshine were the face of Denafrips and a major reason for it's extraordinary success. Honestly, this is Denafrips loss. Vinshine was a big reason why I bought two Denafrips products, and Vinshine's customer support has been phenomenal - the best I've ever experienced. I look forward to continuing my relationship with Vinshine.

Alvin, you sir, are a gentleman. I have been watch your videos for months as I contemplated adding a DAC to my setup. I was hesitant to buy a product from Singapore based upon the fear that support would be limited or nonexistent. Your representation of Denafrips removed that concern. There are countless examples of your support for Denafrips and its customers, including nearly instantaneous response to questions/issues. However, recent questions regarding the relationship between Vinshine and Denafrips caused me to rethink my purchase. I ordered a LAiV Harmony DAC and hope the door that opens for Vinshine is a relationship with LAiV Audio. All the best as Vinshine Audio moves forward.
This might be the first comments thread on TH-cam I have seen where all seem to agree on one thing.
I have never purchased anything from Vinshine Audio but was always hoping I would one day buy a Denafrips product from them. When I first heard of the brand I thought Vinshine was the manufacturer - it was synonymous for me. Then, starting to watch you videos and seeing the person behind AlVinshine Audio I discovered the wonderfully authentic character of Alvin.
Anyway, I cannot understand why Denafrips would let their #1 brand ambassador go, but I also see no reason for Alvin to be pessimistic - with your attitude to business you are bound to be successful. All the best, Alvin, and I am still looking forward to buying from in the future.

Wow I dont even own a Denafrips but if I did I would certainly want to purchase it from a stand up lad like this gentleman here. Sounds like Denafrips loss for losing this company. Hi Alvin, I know how you feel right now, and yes there is a saying in Chinese all good things must come to an end or there is no never-ending feast 天下無不散之筵席、 but do you also know there is an expression in Cantonese 就係打完齋唔要和尚
(“to not want a Buddhist monk after the ritual is finished; to abandon someone after that person has helped to reach a goal”). You should be aware from the very first day there is no such a thing as obligations or promises or contracts in China, that is why a grey market exists.
Vinshine Audio is the best; you are the best. Your level of care and service I have not seen anywhere else in audio. I wish you much success and happiness in the future.
Dear Alvin, from my experience dealing with you & your Vinshine team, as I owned Denafrips & LHY products,I only have 2 words to describe it. INTEGRITY & EXPERTISE. It’s a loss to Denafrips. I don’t foresee Denafrips can give the level of supports like Vinshine did.

PS. I am sure I am not alone in always wondering about how the Chinese sales, marketing and manufacturing worked, however, Vinshine were a shining beacon in what could have been a floundering market with much suspicion regarding brand loyalty and products seemingly cloned and ripped off by other factories in China. You did a great job of selling Chinese made hifi to the west Alvin, by making it accountable through an honest and hard working distributor who didn’t disappear in a year! I’m sure many will remain loyal to whatever Vinshine put their hand to next, as for Denafrips, it’s just a factory outlet like so many others - amazing value and products - but it isn’t a brand as we have come to know brands in the west.
Even one of the forefathers of ChiFi, Line Magnetic, are getting into hot water over lack of support - without that Hong Kong or Singapore entrepreneurial flare Chinese factory outlet products are here today, gone tomorrow.

Thank you Alvin. In the past year or so I have purchased a Jay’s Audio transport and a Denafrips DAC. There was a problem with the transport right away and I was honestly concerned. Venshine was very quick to help resolve the problem by sending a new CD drive and a video on how to replace it. You folks were outstanding. I hope that with the changes Denafrips will offer the same level of support that I received from Venshine should a need arise.
Good luck trying to communicate with the China manufacturer. Language barrier is a huge huge problem. Vinshine has been the perfect go between, being proficient in both English and Chinese. Now Denafrips buyers have to deal directly with the China manufacturer and that will be a major headache. As with all things in life, communication is key. And this is one area that will be a true challenge. If you don’t have a local distributor, I can only say, buy with caution.

the vinshine audio reputation is fantastic. its part of why i was willing to buy a denafrips dac it gave the produce an air of legitimacy. i heard the aries and decided to stretch my budget and get a pontus 2. its a great product i think you should all be really proud.

I was just about to purchase a Denafrips DAC, but I want to go through a retailer and not direct to a factory. I have decided to go in a different direction and have purchased a kit from IanCanada instead. Your role as retailer is essential for a product to succeed in the market.

As a customer that has spent a lot on this expensive hobby over the years I can state that I vet the personality of the support over the price of the product (of course the quality has to be there). This translates to the integrity of the distributor and I can honestly say that while I have not bought Denafrips products, the only reason I investigated the possibility of buying the brand was because of Vinshine Audio. This is because the competition for most audio products is fierce and the most traditional brands are never far behind if something new enters the market - I can guarantee you that I can drive 10kms and find an audio store with an equivalent product - and Denafrips will not be sold in that store because the traditional heavyweight brand's price structures would be compromised. No chance I will be dealing with China directly so the importance of Vinshine Audio was critical to my purchase decision. As audio enthusiasts, you guys are an obvious proxy to me hearing it myself. It is Denafrip's loss and I am sure you guys will find the next big thing to share with us soon. Thanks and take care.

Wasn't expecting this, but certainly not the end of the world 🙂. While I have purchased some Denefrips devices from Vinshine, I've been thinking of completely replacing my Denafrips set up with newer gear. DAC, DDC, PreAMP. Curious as to whether Vinshine will take Denafrips trade ins on which ever major line of audio gear they wind up carrying.
That is sad for Denafrips and for their customers :-(

P.S.: in my eyes not only the 12th-1 release was extremely confusing, but also the 15th Release. It is not transparent, what has been done here.
