All these TH-cam reviewers selling Denafrips gear, but the company has gone out of business. No hifi stores or distributors carry the brand anylonger.

Very helpful as I have just picked up a used Ares ii to use with a Node 2i. If I am using the coax there is obviously no need to connect the USB cable. Dose the Ares ii make noises? Mine clicks constantly when no music is being played, sounds like I am playing a dirty vinyl record. Also the resolution lights on the bottom stay on 44.1k/1X even when I am feeding it Hi Res files. I'm thinking that I have a bad unit.

Thanks Alvin.....I ONLY use a USB from my high end PC as my source/streamer to an external DAC. So I need a DDC for sure !!! I have an SMSL D400ex DAC going to a high end revealing modern Linn pre-amp and Dynamik amps. Should I buy just the Iris DDC, and which clock would that use, I think the Iris clock no and not the SMSL any longer? Or should I future proof in the event I upgrade my DAC.. and get the Hermes or Gaia instead of the Iris. Either way I would go USB to the DDC and I2S to the DAC of course. Note budget is always a concern and size too. But because I refuse to exchange/drop my PC as my primary streamer as most recommend and bypass the need for a DDC......and i refuse this because there are just too many options with my PC for streaming sources and viewing over my TV and best User Interfaces not offered by most all streamers...........WHICH DDC SHOULD I GO FOR !!! Could you please tell me how to change the fuse? I lift the lid nad can see the black fuses but i dont know if i have to pull it, or spin them or how? The other day the amp do a slight "pop" sound and can turn on but no input give my speakers sound. I have to try and check the fuses. Thanks.

No offence to denafrips but sounds like they got greedy and now lost half their trust factor because let’s be honest. China and the West are different economic zones. Especially when it comes to law and rights which trickles down to consumer rights. Nobody wants to order a $2000 from Ali express. I’m sorry.

Hi , I really enjoyed your video. just one question, I found the Pontus power is always on even it's on stand by mode, that is, it consumes same amount of power (about 17watt) as long as you plug it in. It's not a big deal for power consumption point of view, and it makes it a bit warm to touch on the chassis. I just wonder is this normal?

Is there benefit to use two LHY SW-10 vs one LHY SW-10 + LHY SW-6? Is there audible difference?

Not impressed by jewelry,sound is most important I own a Gustard r2r and I compared this dac to mine in my system and I could not hear any differences to make me keep it and my dac cost half the price and I think it has a much better build,for one thing to mention gustard has two transformers one for digital output and one for analog output

I've just ordered a Denafrips DAC, and I'm faced with the fact that the relationship between the two companies has ended. I am very sorry. I have found the new dealer network to be somewhat unfair. There is a price, BUT I still pay 3% to "family and friends". This is also feedback to Denafrips if they read it. Good luck, I really appreciate your attitude.
