Hello Alvin may i ask where the review is where you mention driving OB speakers using this HP2A headphone output? Very interested to hear/read about it as we have 115db efficient horns and looking for suitable preamp. Whilst we are also interested in the matching Harmony DAC.

Just a small request / prayer, since you are in contact with the designers: will it be possible also to have an add on board (like this LEX) but with 2 XLR outputs ? So there will be the freedom to bi-amp the speakers as well as feed a subwoofer in case. I don't know if the next LAW amplifier will have and XRL I/O to chain another amp, but with this "external extra output module" the flexibility will be granted for any audio chain.
Hi sir, thank you! The output stage is Class A buffer, you may use the XLR output for stereo power amp, and RCA output for subwoofer. They are active simultaneously. To bi-amp, you may use a customised XLR cable (Y-Splitter).
So heartbreaking to see Alvin trying so hard to promote all the products he represents and then have the distributorship taken from him after he has made them household names. Some brands are just despicable. I will never touch another piece of Denafrips shit.
It is essentially a buffered volume pot and headphone amp. In Asia most people live in small spaces, hence small footprint and one input… they just don’t have space for large stereo setups.
It is way over priced, I put the new Denafrips pintus 15 vs the laiv ,the pontus 2x the size far better built 2 transformers not one ,and sounds better for $800 less , Alvin is buying a $$ lot of reviews Keep this in mind , my friend compared his Laiv with the new pontus 15 he sold his , watch prepaid reviews.

Hey Alamo, while I can't comment on other brand/manufacturer' business practice; but I am an advocate of modular design where it enables the users to upgrade the product a few years down the road when a new module/technology is available.
Why do they make the visual aesthetic look so bloody awful? It could be the best HPA in the universe, but I wouldn't listen to it when it looks like that.

Hi sir, the output stage of the HP2A is discrete Class A buffer. There is no opamp/buffer stage at the Harmony DAC

I think it looks good & follows the form of the DAC but looks are subjective so to each their own.
