Great review. For this speed of disc, I am not sure that the Brave would replace my Underworld or Seer. Do love that Royal Line plastic.
Love the disc reviews. More in depth than most.
Great detailed review!
How would u compare the brave stability to a maverick? To me it seems more flippy but a ton more glide having thrown both . Great video
Great review. I got distracted by the area that you are throwing in. Kept thinking 'this guy has got to be in Baldwin county AL'. I grew up in Mobile. Subscribed.
I freaking love Royal Grand plastic but I'm honestly confused why Brave exists when it's basically just a River. They should just make Royal Rivers!!!
PS you did a great job on consistent release angle and speed for comparison, along with a good camera placement. That's so important and so many people half-ass this, so thanks! It might be nice to slap a final distance on the screen so we can get a feel for the speed you're throwing at.
"With the feel of an Explorer" I for one don't really like the handfeel of the River, we'll see what different runs do, Royal prototypes have been more US is my feeling ;)
what elevation are you at? In my experience it plays a significant role in the flippyness of my understable discs.
Pretty close to sea level.
This is a bomber disc with a smaller rim, not at all the same purpose as the other 7-speeds in the lineup (Maul/Underworld roller, Evader/Glory OS flight dump in the end, Explorer/Evader dependable on most lines).
So For every armspeed in normal weather it'll go far from what I have seen, You are not supposed to power it flat, thats for pople with less than 300' max distance which is a great distance for an 7 speed. Anny for beginners wanting some speed, deep hyzer for +400' which is great for anyone with a 7 speed if they know where It'll land ;P
For me it was pretty similar to the Maul I had (which was metal flake so maybe more stable than a stock Maul). Maybe a touch more stable, but not be a crazy amount.
Definitely in the right conditions on the right angle it can bomb.
I really hope the Brave you got is a tad less stable than most and the Maul a tiny bit more stable since L64° are pretty good at finding slots not filled within their own line and have almost "retired" molds aviable within Triolo... House of Discs ;)
It flew so beautiful for Johannanananannesss Aka Johannes Högberg in their recent "discspeed vs armspeed"-video, but he is very smooth with high spin it seems ^_^
@@Iliyena87 Ya I am a mere AM haha, so I am sure I didn't provide the most optimal examples. But I tried my best.
Surprised you didn't compare it to a Latitude 64 River.
Maul 7/7/-2/1
River 7/7/-1/1
Explorer 7/5/0/2
Sounds like a slightly beat in River to me.
Didn't have a River on hand to use unfortunately. Either way, I feel it compares PRETTY close to the Maul, maybe just a touch more stable.
@DustinDiscGolf thank you for the review. It was really in depth.
