This is EXTREMELY helpful. I’ve been looking for unit stats for a long time and the ones that come up are outdated ones from 2015. Thank you so much! With that said, I’m looking forward to Soviet vehicles the most.
If you have any more questions about Shock Troops or have any feedback about how to improve the quality of this series, please let me know and I hope to work with Greyshot for more of these contents in the future. Enjoy, everyone! :D Some forgotten details that I need to add here: (will add more as I find out) Reinforcement time per model: 5.5s
I like it when one compare the squad to another likewise role-competing unit, (theorising and or testing them). through %efficiency to their assumed trait, simerly to how I've made attempts on measuring the engineers repair-speed to the best known metric; Sturmpioneers who reach 100% efficiency to themselves and to the overall game at veterancy 3 and with combination with their "support Package". Royal Engineer Recovery Squad came in second with 8% slower repair-speed at veterancy 2 with combination with "heavy engineers equipment" and increased squad numbers at british HQ This could as well be inbetween or inside the category of stats, where you gave us of the [killing-power] of the shock Troopers and PPSh-41 they presumably keep to themselves but at least include another likewise "role-competing unit" or weapon. I am loving it anyhow :p
It would be good if you added one more topic discussion to the know your unit series: "Most effective ways to counter them", which can be slotted in before the historical examination of them.Thanks.
Nah, conscripts are the reverse of all other main infantry units as they are the support unit unlike other factions. They are there mostly there to eat up damage, capture abandoned crew served weapons and snare vehicles as they are not good as the main combat unit. If not suppressed by MG, conscripts are almost guaranteed to survive long enough to throw the AT grenades before going down.
well if you know more about shock troops ,they are mostly are combat engineer though, they worked well in stalingrad with close quarters and did a super spearhead as the red army in 1944 ,they blow up obticles blow up bunkers equip submachine gun and german panzerfaust even flamethrowers. i think relic dont want them so Op so they named them as shock troops that the close quarters infantry with the T-34s(even riding them)
Its really amazing the history behind their armor evolution. It actually could absorb or deflect pistol, smg and even some shotgun rounds, but obviously on average it couldn't hold up against a powerful rifle round. I think its one of my favorite units to use
I love shock troop spam early game using commander ability. Only one counter worked. Which is 3 normal panzergre focusing vs 1 shocks and micro engagement distance
Very informative, ty. I've been practicing sov tier 1 and 2 builds from Autobahn Bisquick. They're very time-efficient at getting the T-70 out. With urban defense doctrine, the Shocks are available after two points (I'm new. Idk if they always are). What part of the game should I try to bring out shocks under this expediant T-70 context? Thx
Nice video! Reminds me why I love Russian infantry units I Always use shock troops in pairs of two, there's nothing German infantry fears more, these things are killing machine in close quarters. Blob charge? No problem send to shock troops and watch them retreat. Enemy holding a point that's hard to take? Coordinate the many squads to flank and encircle them. Though shock troops are pretty useless against vehicle it just takes even a half track to get you to pull back. Guards infantry is my first preference in Armor map, they work very well in coordination with other units to take out tank I usually go with guards, penal battalion and one or two AT guns or TD. Button them up satchel the vehicle and blow it's engine and take it down. It's crazy how many tanks you can take out by just buttoning them up.
im not the greatest fan of your tiermaker stuff, because that is always kinda unprecise and just following your personal opinion. This category tho could be a banger, well done, the numbers are super important and if you actually want to improve at coh2, you should at least know that those stats exist :p nice historical background as well, pls make that a series :) I would love to have commandos covered, especially with the new patch in mind :)
When it comes to soviet infantry, I love shock troops! 🤠 I can't wait to see videos of my other favorite units from the other factions, such as my favorite British units Commandos, wiermarch panzergranedier, oberkommando obersoldaten and most of all my most favorite infrantry units in the game USF assault engineer! 🤠
The only thing, I think, it needs improve is the time on screen for the title of a content, is pretty fast. Maybe 2 segs more. Good luck and excellent video!
These guys are down right invincible unless you over match them with armored vehicles. Provided if they didn't already kick you off majority of the resource points and are pumping up tanks of their own.
What unit would you like us to cover? Let us know!
Churchill Mk.VII or AVRE my vote.
Greyshot Productions
I would love to see the history of the hellish monster of a unit that is...
The Kubelwagen...
I know it's a bit of a meme, but it'd be cool if you could do a video on the B4 at some point.
KW-1 and KW-2
Obersoldaten and Fallschirmjäger please,
they a hard picking for me, so I wanna know more

Yep, thanks gonna sub u mate
Thanks for posting, the DPS stats are interesting.
Conscripts or riflemen, they're versatile and is an all-rounder unit
Rifleman yes they're versatile by default. However conscriptes by default are not really versatile unless you have specific doctrine.
@@rinasogi9240 Cons are better early game because they are cheap, fast and can stop early vehicles. Riflemen are better everywhere else
Riflemen can scale really well into late game, where with conscripts your gonna have a hard time using them without them getting massacred.

Awesome indepth rundown. Don't think there is anyone else doing this in such detail and up to date. Deploy the upvotes. Give us more of these!
Awesome series. Very informative. Desire to know more intensifies! Great video.
Loved the first episode! Please do more! Weekly, if possible
You forgot that the Shock Troops are infact really Engineers; SHISBr
4:44 "Accuracy"
thank you for the history part thats the cherry on top
I would love a Volksgren analysis

Thank you guys for highlighting a unit , hoping rangers , airbourne , pathfinders, commandos
Shocks vs penals with ppsh upgrade?
when merging with cons they keep their 1 armour leading to suprisingly fast model losses that can catch you of guard
Awesome really helpful !

“Say hello to my little friend”
*Goliath join the game*
Does it really shock troops?
How fo you get all the stats ? Website are all outdated back from 2017
Can you look into some of Arashenstein's gameplay (I think he plays mainly CoH1)? Hes an interesting player to say the least lol.

This video made me remember the basics of CQC.
Rifleman for next video?
My favourite unit in the game :v
Actually can shock the enemy like its name :v, even just one squad :v
I love this video. I want MOAR!! :) T-34 next plz
I second that.
Anyone experienced seeing a trooper and run away immediately hahaha

I would like a video about the UKF Commandos.

I love Commandos !!
Obers please
Didn't know antman played coh2
What about assault engineers from the u.s forces? At the end you van compare them to the shock troops from te USSR.
Dude, this is great, cover all units in game and stay the best!
I want to see Sturm Offizier unit with some history ( I couldn't find any), good luck
Rifleman and rangers please.
More like R.U.S.E. Gvardiya
Do M10 TD greyshot lmao
Fallshimjagers
Over Power , not very, OVER power
Recruits with ppsh are better, shock troops are no longer worth their price in the actual patch.
