I am about to order a new Cayman 718 and I wonder if I will need to get the $2300 PCM with Porsche Connect in order for this Android system to work, or if it will work with standard PCM. I would appreciate if you reply 😁

Thank God someone finally made this. I've been searching endlessly for Android functionality in my 17 Macan GTS with Connect Plus. Please let me know what you need from me to get this in my car like YESTERDAY!
Porsche PCM Connect is now defunct (as of Oct 2018, unless you have a brand new Porsche) and unless you have an iPhone and USB cable connect it to your car. I understand Porsche supposedly went with Apple and not Android as Android (AKA Google) wanted Porsche to give them car telemetry info, so, Porsche said no and have since favoured Apple. May have been a higher cost issue as well. So here we are. . .My 2017 991.2 911GTS can only do text and phone calls, no other PCM functions and the dealership can do nothing. That makes this video from "SDK Autos" extremely attractive. Will the guy (assume he's in Sydey AUST) respond to any of these comments or indeed provide additional info or support. C'mon mate, love what you appear to have done, so how about it?
Please can you share with me how you did this - existing setup in my new Porsche is hopeless using a Samsung S8+. I would be grateful if you can come back to me ..... cheers
I talked to the manufacturer Lsailt and they said that their systems will neither support displaying song information in the Porsche dash nor using the diamond key to skip tracks :-( Kean (King) can you please shed some light into your setup? Highly appreciated!
Thanks for the question, unfortunately, the upgrade process for the PCM 3.0 is much more involved and time-consuming, including opening and rewiring of the actual PCM itself, so at this time we don't support the upgrade for units below PCM 4.0.

Go to Aliexpress.com and look up full Android integration for Porsche PCM 4.0 You'll be able to order the box, and everything from that site without waiting 500 years for this guy to do anything. Plan to use it on a 2013 991.1 with pcm 3.1, from what i see on your site that will work so please contact me (or reply to my emails) so that i can get confirmation and place the order!
Ill pay your for this, I have a 991.1 on version 3 something and the dealer wants $600 to upgrade to current version but I cant see any worthwhile reason to do the upgrade.
Misleading headline. This hack does NOT do Android Auto, merely regular Android whose UI isn't car-optimized: more cluttered, difficult to use and dangerous while driving.
there is an app called ANDROID Auto that can be installed on this android system so if you want the special CAR UI experience you start that app. Further more that app can be started automatically based on a bluetooth connection . So not an issue at all

Not sure which video you watched but this one is clearly optimized for the car. I also make it pretty clear this isn't android auto.
