Just watched a documentary about a 51 y/o elephant that had been speared by a farmer. Elephant passed away from infection. It broke my heart!! They knew it had a serious wound, why didn't they intervene and save his life?? He was such a formidable bull but also a gentle giant. It was so amazing to watch his family come and pay their respects to their fallen leader. ❣️🐘❤🦁❣️

Enough with those hearders... they should get punished by law with this horrible crimes they do to the lions... Lorkulup, before they crippled Spearboy and till today that lion suffer , can't properly provide for himself, being rejected from prides, it's a miracle he is still alive, Loonkito this spring, the oldest wild lion in the Masai Mara, almost 20 years old!!! speared by hearders!!! Tourist come to see the lions, not the cows from the hearders, when constantly lions get lost as an endangered species this would be a disaster for nature and economy for the locals..iam glad the vets treated Lorkulup and he got some antibiotics so his wounds didn't get infected, because the stitches couldn't of course hold the wound close, the poor boy suffered a lot, but is a surviver like Spearboy, love Spearboy, but there are little information about him unfortunately...
Why they always spear the lions to this day? Transitioning to more do no harm adulthood would not break tradition but transcend it.
