I guess if you like hardcore RPG style games only, you might not feel this is as in depth as games like Arkham Horror. But, there is enough of suspense and fast setup and little space needed to play this game. I love it. I haven't had a boring game yet solo or with friends.
@XinBiDe takes a little bit of setup but the learning curve is minimal. very easy to get into and very addictive once you get going. highly recommend this.
Good evening Fantasy Flight Games TH-cam team, the trailer is very well made, both in content and graphics. I am beginning the conclude that, Fantasy Flight Games is a company which releases quality boardgames. Note that I own Arkham Horror and I am pleased with the readable instrcutions manuel. Yours sincerely, PlayerOPS
Great video but is there a rule mistake? At 3.55 the task fail with a terror dice. According to the card the terror discard all terror dice. you should lose the terror dice + another dice with only one dice left to roll.
Seen as the first example of resolving a adventure card "The loading door" which says Terror:Discard all terror dice, The roll shows a terror die at the bottom which should be discarded. So Jack should only have 2 dice to roll which he also gets a terror die then he discards at once, and cause he failed he discards a die. So roll nr 3 he only have 1 die or he should have but not seen in the video.
Question? Upon completing an adventure card. Then moving to the entrance card during the resolve phase. Are you able to interact with the entrance cards choices at this time? Then go on to the change clock phase. I guess I am really asking is that if I can choose or buy something on the entrance card at this time. Your help with this would be greatly appreciated.
I don't believe you can. You only get one choice, remain in the museum entrance, to heal or roll for extra cards or choose an adventure location. Once an adventure is completed or the task is failed, the player's round is over.
Hello, just found this game talked about on a voyager Tablet Video by Underground Tech, I know I'm a little slow due to my handicap of cerebral Palsy but can this game be played on a Voyager Tablet? The Game sure sounds interesting!!!!!!
Hello. We do not have a Voyager Tablet for testing, but since the Voyager runs Android 6, it should function just fine. It will not have keyboard support however. If you download it and it does not work please contact FFG customer service. www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/more/customer-service/
Has anyone played this yet? Is it basically faster Arkham Horror? As my friend has Arkham Horror but he will never let us play because it takes too long so I've yet to have a chance at it.
Trailer is brilliant. Game is unbelievable boring. If you are a arkham horror fan, don't buy this game without trying it first. There is nothing common between this and arkham except characters. This game is only rolling a dices. No strategy, no cooperation, no fun. From the beginning till the end you are just rolling the dices and it will bore you to death before you will drink the 1st bear :(
Art looks good, video makes it look incredible... but, really... it's so Goddamn boring. Just a roll fest. The co-operative element is minimal, so any games with 2+ players is boring. Which makes it only really viable as a solo game. So, its up to you... if you want to pay relatively high amount of dollars for a solo game, by all means. But, I hope you've got a good imagination, or can carry the horror/paranormal theme well, otherwise you'll just be rolling dice for 20 minutes.
Seing in 2024! Twelve years and still rocks!
Why does a board game have such a ridiculously awesome trailer!?
mandarinduck
Cause why not?
I have never seen a how to play that is so clear and thematic at the same time. Nailed it!
"judicious use of resourcces" is the most badass description of the world "luck" i've ever heard!
This video gives me goosebumps. :P
Just finished a 3 hour game listening to spotify chuthulu playlist it was a terrifying adventure we loved it!!!!

They played this video in the gaming store I went to. I was sold and so was the game.
Amazing game intro.. the game is great too..
Amazing tutorial!
I wish more Publishers would do this 😎👍
Stanley opened the tome on his left. It was a most unspeakable tome.
One thing is for sure, FFG knows how to make a trailer.

Might as well just write a blank check to FFG. Damn my love for all things Lovecraftian...
Oh, Stanley...

very very nice trailer for a wonderful intriguing game

Just got this as a christmas present. Yay!!
I cannot wait to play this at Gateway!
Still the most epic boardgame trailer! 🤘
The new wave of board games encourages you to get away from the computer for a direct, social interaction. I remember those...
definitely a good thing!
The best bg i've ever played.
You have to bring Elder Sign to Steam for the unfortunate of us who rely on PC to quench our thirst for great games.
Great vid. Are these based around H. P. Lovecraft stories?
yes
@JeremeyByrne1
Isn't Monterey Jack a character on Rescue Rangers? Anyways this game looks cool, will buy for sure.
@teaflax Yeah he is pretty cool. I just played him last night in Arkham Horror. He is great for busting heads.
How about the first turn of the game. Did I have to draw mythos card?
Yes, and resolve it as well
Thanks @@mentalillnessalex4885

I was thinking that too, but the terror rule may be for situations where you roll multiple terror dice, in which case you'd remove them all

@gamergrounds The games he's played has taken him 6-10 hours apparently, so he doesn't like to play it very often.
Does anyone know who the narrator is? That voice is so familiar to me, it drives me crazy not knowing where I've heard it before.
Parable of Stanley
Is that... is that the narrator from the Dungeon's game series?!
After Effects? What was the rendering time for this video?
Getting this and Android: Infiltration for Christmas. :)
I know, butit is unfortunate those around me are not so interested in board games. Thus, online is what I've left. I miss my student D&D days.
tres?
Wait is that stanley?

Anyone seeing this in 2020?
Is that Joe Diamond on the cover?
Very Cool
Who is your voice actor? My sub is a little bit in love with him...
The Incredible JuJu
I don’t remember his name, but he’s the same narrator as the narrator in The Stanly Parable.
(Yes I know I’m 8 years late)
@HeartMcBlue I love drinking bears.
Eenteresting.
You know, awekening the dark forces of evil is'nt going to make you're life any easier.
It's a good game. Really fast and simple. The artwork is stunning! Anyway, Arkham Horror is better, and of course Mansins of Madness is the best.
ichi!
We're almost at 69 comments!
Uno IS epic as hell. You just haven't been playing with the right house rules!
It's like lovecraftian liar's dice!
Arkham horror the board game
when a game has clue tokens.. it's an auto-success.
then its not Uno.
zwei!
stanley parable XD
Monterey Jack? Really?
thumbs up if ya paused to read some of the cards.
Soo... Duke die or something.. harsh
I miss these good games they made, this and Eldritch Horror, its all trashy Star Wars and Marvel now/
Autobuy.

This game requires cooperation to successfully complete. It is extremely difficult playing a true solo (one investigator), game.
