    I paid my college for classes while they tried to fail me my entire time there. Why would anyone donate money to them afterwards? Best Buy never asks me for donations after I buy a TV.

    • @kart182
      @kart182 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      You sucking in class is not the college’s fault. Not saying they get to ask for donations, but if you can’t pass a class, it has nothing to do with paying for it, unless they didn’t teach well

      @@kart182 I paid for a service. Some teachers were good some were garbage. My transaction with them ended the day I graduated.

      @@kart182I agree but having finished an engineering degree I can confirm that if you cross a teacher at any point they can make things very difficult for you
      To the point you have to take things to department leads
      That being said, there is only so much they can do without you being able to get them fired

    I totally agree with this. I spent 4k on a Tudor BB58, and then 300 on a Kuoe dress watch, and another 400 on a PRX for everyday as a beater. Having said that, I will add a Longines or Grand Seiko Dress watch this year.

      Good choices. When he said "$5000", I immediately said "Tudor". Of course, if you're a dress watch guy, Tudor's not a great choice, and in that case I would actually encourage you to look at Grand Seiko, they have a surprising number of watches (quartz *and* automatic) that retail under $5k, not to mention the gray and used markets.

    1. The Traditionelle is a different line than the Patrimony for VC
    2. The Patrimony is ludicrously large for a dress watch
    3. The Lange Saxonia is better, imo.

    • @shaqfufu8908
      @shaqfufu8908 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agreed and the movement finishing on the Saxonia is a higher tier than VC. The market for both are soft so you can get them at a tremendous discount

    • @waterfordrs22
      @waterfordrs22 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      There are some 42mm Patrimony, the watch he featured is 40mm, that’s large for a traditional dress watch, but hardly ludicrous and not uncommon in the industry these days. The also offer smaller watches within the line.
      The Starry Night is spectacular, but in terms of design aesthetic, Patrimony is a beautiful dress watch across the board. Personally, between the two examples shown which are good representatives of each line, I’d take the Patrimony, the curvature of that dial does it for me, particularly compared to the Saxonia. Completely subjective

    • @kojiattwood
      @kojiattwood 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@waterfordrs22 I was only aware of the 42 mm version, my apologies. And I do like the overall aesthetics of that particular line, but would opt for a Lange. Now vintage VC dress pieces are a completely different story altogether

    I enjoyed the video, but Christian... why 3 ads? One mid video ad about straps, one ad as your outro and your squarespace sponsorship. I use YT Premium but if you are not and YT adds 1-2 other ads, this video gets to the edge of viewable.

    I’m a 50yr old British guy that’s into watches and I really enjoy watching T&H’s videos and listening to Christian and the guys talk watches, cars, clothes etc etc and I’ll tell you why. It’s great to see a young team doing well and strive to better their lives and reach for the top. Are there bigger problems in the world?? Do these guys care about these pressing world issues?? Of course they do….. But I come here to get away from all that and just listen to someone talking passionately about something else. I have learnt a lot from these guys over the years. Good job all round with the channel guys.

    You unfortunately confused the Patrimony and Traditionelle which are separate watch lines and look not alot like eachother. They separated the model lines like 10 years ago. I assume the OP meant to compare the VC 82172 with the Saxonia.

    I find the reverso without a subdial to be incredibly boring. In fact, I think any reverso or Cartier tank emphatically needs precious metal to be interesting. With precious metal, they really catch the eye

    California T sports a twinturbo newer generation ferrari engine. Chop off the T and the statements holds more merit. black California is definitely not an eye catching ferrari choice but a great car nonetheless. Truth be told there is nothing about it to make it better then any other great sports cabriolet. A much more respectable and cooler car would be a 991.1 turbo cab 911. Why own a ferrari with all the headaches and potential service issues and not own a "good" one. The porsche will look better and come with less headache (and more speed)

    Like didn’t you make peoples lives hell and then expect loyalty? It’s like you have to lick boots to become a Rolex customers. F that!
    Also Cartier is starting to be a little too pricey. More value other places.
