    Hello again.
    This is actually my second question in this video.
    I have UK CCT in medicine with around 10 years post CCT experience. I am in process of getting Canadian Specialist status.
    My question is once I am Canadian board certified, how can I eventually work in USA (I will try to give usmle steps to be ecfmg certified as well in the meantime).
    Many thanks

      Great! Before you dive into the whole USMLE writing process, we suggest having a chat with us. We can help you explore other potential paths that might let you skip the USMLE altogether. If this works out, you can save a ton of cash, time, and avoid all that exam stress!
      To set up a chat, you can book an appointment on our website at www.IMGSecrets.com.

      Thanks. In my opinion, there are two options for you. 1. To get in a clinical fellow into a University/Hospital that offers ACGME accredited residency or fellowship in ObGyn and 2. Simultaneously you can also apply directly to alternate entry path program. Comparing both, my guess is you are more likely to be successful with option 1 than 2, but never hurts to try. Check this video out on how to approach to get a fellowship th-cam.com/video/gOZLy-qnvfU/w-d-xo.html

    Thanks Dr Rajeev for this enlightening video! I am a OB GYN Resident in Brazil and I will finish my residency program next year. I am searching abou the alternative pathway in ABOG website and they say that one of the elegibility criteria is that: "The length of training must be at least four years" but here in Brazil our residency program lasts for 3 years. If I submit to a fellowship program in the US, the years of practice there can count for me to have this 4 years of training or they demand it to be exclusivelly from my residency program here in Brazil?
    About the USMLE certification, do I have to take step 3 as well?

    • @IMGSecrets

      Potentially possible. You must be extremely careful with how you approach because any rejections can make it difficult for next steps and may have to hand pick the states. When we guide IMGs through this, we specifically tell them what states to focus on based on their background.

    Hello sir,
    Your video is really informative. My UG College is listed but my PG college which is Tata cancer Memorial hospital (Mumbai) is not listed.

      Thanks. I assume you mean listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools? UG or medical colllege training is what’s important and not PG or residency. You should be good for now

      Dr. Thirupathi, yes there is. But it is conceptually different from the specialties in this video. In short, you must be in the USA as a IMG faculty and meet the criteria!

    Hello Doctor,
    Thank you for such an informative video .
    I have done both my MBBS and MD Anaesthesiology in India. Now planning to move to UK for FRCA.
    Eventually i would like to move to the US.
    Please guide me regarding what pathway should i take ?
    And i was never interested in research so dont have anything under my belt apart from my thesis research during residency.
    Thanks in advance.

      Thanks. Is there a reason you want to move to UK and then the USA instead of directly moving to the USA? Your pathway would depend on your training background, CV, & other factors. Depending on all these you would get competitive for specific routes.

So i thought i would prepare for it while working in UK instead of being back in India. Atleast that would add on to my CV for working in a western world country.

    What about pediatrics??

    • @IMGSecrets
      @IMGSecrets  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dr. Ankur, the American Board of Pediatrics provides an alternate entry path for IMGs, but it operates under a distinct framework. To be eligible, you must hold a consultancy position in the USA or Canada.

    Hello, I am a General Practitioner in my home country, is there a way to use the alternate entry pathway for residency ?

    • @IMGSecrets
      @IMGSecrets  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The alternate entry path is designed to bypass residency for outstanding IMGs! You cannot use it to do residency. These are conceptually different.
