    Thank you so much for being so transparent. There are so many videos on yt guiding us through the USMLE process, but nobody talks about how life is after you get there. Videos like these help us a build a realistic picture in our head and really bursts that fantasy bubble that we have about the american dream, and would help us in adjusting better instead of feeling disappointed. And as always - grass is greener on the other side.

    As someone who has lived in the US for ten years, the food situation won't get better. This my first video of yours (hunting around information for my brother in India) - and I don't know your complete background. If you are living away from home for the first time, nothing will come close to the food that your parents make. Start learning youtube cooking, it took me a 3-4 years but the food I make is tasty/and I always keep trying different receipes - I have maybe found 1 or 2 worthwhile indian restaurants in the US and that is in all the time I've been here.

    Can you provide us with a checklist of things to do before leaving college that cannot be done afterward, such as research and observership programs? My college is arranging one, so should I go ahead and participate in it? A checklist would be useful

    Simple Answer sister ---> The doctor's profession is no longer as good as the public was led to believe. If you can afford to study outside of the country. There are also too many difficulties & issues there. There is no longer any scope for MBBS in India or Pakistan.

    My sister is doing her PG in medicine from a govt medical college in India. She's in a central college and paid a lakh per month with a fees of 5k per year.. so in govt college you end up saving ALOT.
    Also, how many years is PG there?
    Like here it's 3 years irrespective of the branch. What about there?

    hi i wanted to pursue usmle but i’m not sure if i want to get into internal medicine. i’ve never seen an indian mbbs graduate who got matched into anything other than internal medicine and yes ik it’s hard to even get matched at all but are there other options to get matched into, for someone who’ll graduate from mbbs in india? i would love to hear suggestions of residency programs with chances similar to get matched into as internal medicine, for an indian img

    Hello there , I just failed step, after that ecfmg they send me this email, they suspend my application to any step exam for a year do to anomalous performance, readiness to test and motivation to pass, I don't know what's wroung, I fail my test due to anxiety, I prepared well but I got so anxious tired during the exams and I run of time and leaving some questions without answering and some of multiple flags,,, so what should I do, I already start to study again, should I wait or this will be more reg flags to get match next year, or changing the whole path to UK?

    100 dollars per day salary per day , that’s like 8k per day and 2.4 lakh per month .
    As consultant US docs get paid around 5 times of how they get paid in residency . Nearly 500-600 dollars per day ,amounting to 20k per month . Life time earning of 10 millions ( inflation adjusted ) . Hope it helps

      60 hours is much much better than these inhumane working hours 😢

    I wish to pursue medicine. Studying grade10(CBSE BOARD )in Dubai . As i'm a US citizen, what is good option for me enroll in high school (gr 11&12) im India and do mbbs there(will i qualify for state medical seat after NEET) OR move to USA and do my studies preMed, MCAT,med school and residency there? Pl advise , m so confused

      Do not do MBBS in India. If you can, do the MCAT and do med school in the U.S. You will be within the U.S. system and things flow, you can avoid the struggle of becoming an FMG

    Doctor saab India is developing very fast . India is going to be better than US soon . Medical field is changing completely in India! Big population gives much more earring possibilities in India . Unlimited footfall in your private practice is biggest pro of India. Now infrastructure is very good in India too !

      @ Get into Indian Medical Field now when it is still in growing phase ! After few years India will be next USA of Medical Field! Then entry will be harder than USMLE ! Now is the best time to enter !

      As far as I know unlike India, in Us you need to do some short of graduation before going for mbbs …..
      If ur parents are in India then try to do MBBS in India and then for to US for PG
      In this process u will save a lot of money too
      Completely my personal opinion
      U can inquire more before drawing any conclusions 😊

      It's near to impossible to get matched into OB/GYN residency as an IMG.
