What to use to protect the back plate from scratches when removing it with the tool if we don't have that blue film thing you have? What can we use as alternative?
It looks to be about 10-15 years to me. But I didn't expose all of my watches to light all the time. But I know people that did and it still eventually went out.
Hey guys, that screw that holds the shield on over the battery is super small. Maybe it is possible to unscrew a little and pivot the shield. It took me forever to get the screw back on!
I can't even get it off, I think the tolerances of the kit I bought off Amazon are just not good. I feel like it never locks enough to turn and just slips off.
I have the Citizen Calibre 2100 AV0021-52H, (14 years old) unfortunately the crystal is chipped and allowing moisture to enter, had it back to Citizen UK, but they no longer keep parts to repair it, are you aware of the exact dimensions of the crystal so that I may obtain one elsewhere and have it repaired by a local jewellers.
Thanks for your comment. Normally crystal is not the reason for moisture. It's been a long time since you have been using this watch. Normally It's better to change the crown and back gasket but you will not get it now. So now you have to use this watch carefully. Keep watching for updates videos.
It could be a faulty battery or a faulty or damaged coil which regulats the power to the movement . The coil can be very easy damaged if not handled carefully even a small touch with a screw driver can end its life.
Changed my Battery today thanks for showing me how ++++++++++++++++++
Glad I could help

Great video, what's the approximate life span of the eco drive capacitor?

I got my Citizen Calibre 2100 in 2006 and it finally died about 3 years ago..so I would say the poster below's response of 10-15 years is accurate
@jcha22 many thanks, thats not to bad considering some cars don't even come anywhere near that 😉
I have a similar watch, I would like to put it on a nato strap. Is this possible?
Gracias , todo igual excepto que la batería nueva no venía con el sistema que la acompaña en el video. al colocarla me dio media carga

May I ask, what size of screwdriver was used to remove the battery cover?
I have a jeweler's set so I just picked the one that covered the screw the best. I wish I knew the size
