I have this identical Citizen in pristine condition but the power cell is depleted. I called Citizen 9n California and they said this particular model had a lifetime warranty on the power cell. This there would be no charge to replace the cell. I have not sent it in yet, but wanted to share this info with owners of this watch that may need a cell replacement. Yes you would have to pay to ship and insure, but at least I can have if fixed and perhaps cleaned and the gasket replaced. If I am daring I could just try to order a cell replacement to change it, based on your video. Will see, it 9s a great watch. Thank you again for this great video.
It is a C 650 not an E. Just mentioning it because finding C650 JR3 model Skyhawk info is a pain to search for on the internet because you always end up with Skyhawk AT results.
For the capacitor debate - It is not a capacitor. From Panasonic:These manganese titanium rechargeable lithium (MT) coin batteries use a lithium manganese complex oxide for the positive pole and a special lithium-titanium complex oxide for the negative pole. They provide a capacity which is more than 10 times that of capacitors of the same size. Typical applications include the main power supply in watches and memory back-up for pagers, timers, etc.

Thank you for this video it helped me a lot fixing my watch !
I hoped you replace the back cover gasket?😀
I love that you posted this. I always wondered how serviceable these are!
Where did you get the replacement crystal? I have look everywhere and no has low dome mineral crystal 28.9 mm x 2 mm.
Where did you find a domed crystal for the skyhawk? they are super hard to find, let alone find a part number.
Excellent, thanks for the video.
Any links to how I can find a replacement crown for this model?
have you experienced the second hand jumping back and forth a second?
I'm soon to replace a crystal on mine. In other models I have done, it was necessary to use an adhesive like B700. Is it not needed on this model?
Can I use the ban lets say with citizen promaster eco drive 200 curent edition? will it fit?

You sound very much like Bill Murrey.
it is not capacitor. It's LiIon battery and it is written on it !!!
It's a rechargeable lithium ion cell not a capacitor. Watch your video and see for yourself.
you are wrong it is a li-ion battery not a capacitor
