Hi Zeequencha. As I was coming from South Africa the headline could have read "Emigrating from South Africa" or "Immigrating to Portugal", don't you agree? You're right, I missed an "m" - thanks! Emigrate means to leave one location, such as one's native country or region, to live in another. Immigrate means to move into a non-native country or region to live. Associate the I of immigrate with “in” to remember that the word means moving into a new country.

6.34 should read 'immigrating' or even better 'Emigrating to Portugal'
Hi Zeequencha. As I was coming from South Africa the headline could have read "Emigrating from South Africa" or "Immigrating to Portugal", don't you agree? You're right, I missed an "m" - thanks!
Emigrate means to leave one location, such as one's native country or region, to live in another. Immigrate means to move into a non-native country or region to live. Associate the I of immigrate with “in” to remember that the word means moving into a new country.
Over 600k (official 2020 survey, not counting illegals) foreigners chose Portugal as their home and 2 out 9 have arrived in 2019-2020.
Wow! Where did you see that info?

My socialist son and his girlfriend are moving there. Did you know the country uses Philipinos and Indian people as work slaves paying them $2.00 an hour?
I didn't but I did know that Portugal had a history of slavery.
if those people are being exploited , probably it´s the firms from those countries that do that ! , entering europe have standart laws to obey! minimum wages, residency etc!! check those facts better !!!
@@marcofernandes9455 Just reporting what my son and his girlfriend saw! I'm not saying Portugal is bad especially for retired people.
@@paulairola7041 my friend...pay atention on what you wrote , "the country uses people as work slaves!" and" my socialist son"
this is not a socialist country, it is a democratic one!!! very far from ideal or perfect , but if some company may be exploiting foreign people for work positions is one thing , another is being acused of being a country that has work slaves!!! that seams to be a brutal and desonest coment !!
@@marcofernandes9455 When I look up Portugal it states as being a Democratic socialist country. And as it goes for my son and girlfriend both are Bernie supporters " Socialists" sorry! AS far as slave labor goes another reply to my post had said he saw the same thing????
Dont spose you have a son/clone who needs a wife? Asking for a friend :D
Hahahah, 😂 that's very kind. Sorry, I don't.
Man,...you have to learn portuguese.
