- This is a quick video of me installing the Power Acoustic CP-71w into my Honda Civic.
The stereo is a Walmart exclusive I believe however here is the link if you want to get one.

Best purchase ever. I’m from US
Have you had any issues with it ? Mine sometimes disconnects car play for like 3 seconds and goes to the radio but it comes back on. Wondering if it’s just the phone dropping signal or if it’s because I didn’t use the GPS antenna.
Perfect video for me because I am looking to get a 90’s civic, just like yours. Do you think the CarPlay map was big enough to use while driving?
@@Kenneth-bm5zr yes I had no issues really!
Looking forward to the follow up review … and thanks for posting this one very helpful
Unfortunately iOS 18 means it no longer works with CarPlay
@@TVideouk why is that?
@@TVideouk wow - I hope they create an update so it works with the new apple ios18 -
@@inakiestevez9484 it connects the phone but CarPlay isn’t an option
@@TVideouk just read on a car forum that a user deleted the Bluetooth history on the radio and removed the radio from the Bluetooth pairing history on their phone and they were able to reconnect as if was a new installation. User reported this worked to restore car play…… no idea if this really worked …
Hey brother, if it keeps disconnecting or lagging it’s because you haven’t updated. Mine has similar issues, even losing gps signal until I applied the update. Make sure you use a usb2.0 or higher and 16Gb or larger
@@willroman3040 thanks man. I’ll give it a go
I’m thinking of buying this, just wondering how difficult the update process is?
@@saIamwii not difficult at all. Just buy a fairly new usb flash drive 2.0 or higher and make sure it’s larger than 16gb
@@TVideouk let me know how it works out for you brother
@@saIamwii really easy. It’s on the bottom of the Walmart description :)
A few weeks later now, how do you like it? Looked kinda laggy/slow when you were scrolling through carplay at the end of the vid. I guess that's not a huge deal but I have a double din kenwood that is super slow and laggy and over the years it's gotten pretty annoying.
@@TourGuide223 I don’t find it laggy at all to be honest. The only annoying thing I find is that the volume is on buttons not a dial.
I still need to do the update as well
So far how’s it going? I’m planning on buying one for my car
@@IRONCREEPER it’s going good. Only downside is the volume is buttons not a dial. So a little annoying. I did have an issue with it disconnecting from car play but re connects are two seconds. However hoping the update has helped that
Whats the microphone like and does the speaker to text work accurately?
@@jaydeancustoms it’s worked fine so far for me and my car is noisy but still picks it up fine
do you retain steering wheel controls?
I think that depends on your adapter. My car doesn’t have any steering wheel controls
How its been so far?
Great so far. I wish it had a knob for volume rather than buttons to easily turn it up and down.
Mine sometimes disconnects car play for like 3 seconds and goes to the radio but it comes back on. Wondering if it’s just the phone dropping signal or if it’s because I didn’t use the GPS antenna.
Mine does the same. Very annoying@@TVideouk
@@zacritz7639 have you updated it ?
@@TVideouk yea I did the update that adds Android Auto
@@TVideouk I'm also getting a lot of static out of my speakers but it could be related to my vehicle
Do you know the dimensions of the screen by chance?
I don’t it’s just single din size though
