    good stuff..was mainly trying to see how long kickarm was and how it tucked away..lotsa comments saying it's too long..I have 2020 YZ250F..but I know it's almost identical to '19..so SOLD!!!..I'm gonna buy the kickstand now..appreciate the install walk-thru..certainly not rocket science..but it's always good to see it done..there almost ALWAYS is something you just didn't account for..UNTIL you do it once

    I’m making my Kawasaki KX 250F trail friendly as well with this kickstand. 👍

      It's held up well so far. I really like it and way better than trying to find a tree or something to lean it up against. Thinking of going down to a 18" wheel on the back and up another tooth on the sprocket next to get a bit more low end on the trail. I really don't need top end speed as nothing I ride is that open. So more low end grunt would serve me better.

    How's it holding up a lot of people say they are cheaply made

      The kickstand itself is fine. My only complaint is the thin backing piece that covers the spring had the tiny screws pop out so it is dangling. It does not impact the performance of the kickstand at all so no concerns, just an annoying thing. I need to go pick up some tiny screws and then us blue locktite to secure them in. Overall the kickstand is holding up fine and feels sturdy.

    You have a link for the kickstand?😊

      I don't remember where I bought it...sometimes Amazon, sometimes Rocky Mountain ATV and sometimes Motosport. I try to keep my channel as agnostic as possible so I don't participate in any affiliate programs as I don't want to influence people on where to buy products. It's best to shop around to see who might have the best prices and service...I think I bought it from Rocky Mountain ATV. If you just do a search for Fastway Kickstand with your model bike, you should find several purchasing options. Thanks for watching.

    Does this cause any issue with the foot peg being off the bike more?

    • @RoughRidersTV
      @RoughRidersTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure I understand the question. The foot peg is just bolted on and when installed by the factory, they used Blue thread locker (aka locktite). When reinstalling, you can use blue thread locker on the bolt so it is fine.
      Perhaps you are asking if adding the kickstand pushes the foot peg out further since you have a plate between the peg and the frame? Is so, no it is not noticeable at all.

      @@RoughRidersTV thanks for the response, I was asking about the "plate between the peg and the frame" glad to know it is not noticeable

    Is it lighter than the stock one?

      My 250F does not come with a kickstand since it's a MotoX bike. The 250FX does but I don't know if there is a weight difference.

    What a joke, $150 for a kickstand!
    Only American's throw money away that easy without realizing it costs $20 to make in China, and in US they just re-brand it.

    • @RoughRidersTV
      @RoughRidersTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I fully understand how all of this works. I deal with manufacturing overseas on a regular basis at my company. However, I don't get to set the price for the product, the manufacturer does. I comparison shop and looked at several kickstand options including the OEM. The cost was going to be nearly the same across brands and I liked the foot on this model best. I'm not aware of a $20 kickstand on the market that has good manufacturing quality, good design and available in market.

      @@RoughRidersTV Nothing against your video, in fact you did a great job showing how it's done.
      My issue is with US brands selling their products with greedy 300-700% margins.
      Well, they need to upgrade their Yacht to keep up with the Joneses brag-talk at the golf course. :)

      @@gloomiehoodie Understood. Markups like this is not US centric though. I've been off roading for nearly 50 years now and this happens with international brands as well. Take Acerbis for example, their stuff is marked up substantially as well and they are an Italian company. Whether it is dirt bike accessories, SxS accessories, manufactured locally or overseas, sold by an international brand or a local brand...if it's off road related, it is marked up substantially because they can and yes, people will still buy it. While i don't think they all own helicopters and yachts, I think they most generally make a healthy profit for sure. But that is capitalism at work.

      Fastway kickstands are made in the US...

      People complain about the price but everything for any dirt bike, costs...so 150 for a beefy kickstand seems fine. The first time you are out somewhere and look for something to lean your bike against, you will be glad you spent the 150. The other option? Build yourself?
