The row cleaners helped out with the ground conditions. I remember the first year I planted corn, the planter just plowed real bad. Sometimes you just have to make the best of it. Glad you were able to finish.
Glad you got to plant finally, I understand about the field and not having exactly what you need, that is gonna be my dialma as well, unless I can pick up something this winter. Like you said though, it's loose just a few clods! Really enjoyed riding my friend, you said it well at the end...you are enjoying doing this, that's what it's all about my friend!! Farm on, I will be here for sure!! Look fwd to more!!
Thanks. We work with what we have to work with. I hope to get some type of field finisher before next year. You'll get there. Determination goes a long way. And a lot of satisfaction when it comes. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
@@stinsonfarms6724 Thank you for the encouragement sir! That's kinda what I have been looking at, they are expensive around my parts, for my budget. Found a older do all, that would have been perfect but let it slip away. I love watching y'all farm and I am taking notes!! Be safe my fri.d, always here...late at times, but here 😁
Great video! Glad you got your corn in and everything went well! You have a nice setup for planting, those planters are good. Can’t wait to see the corn grow and harvested in a few months!
I was real pleased with the planter. It's 47 years old so I think it did good. Harvest is my favorite time. I've always loved to shell corn. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
I planted with a John Deere 494 plate planter for years. I really liked it. Simple and easy to work on and adjust. This is my first year planting with the 7000. I think it did well. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
The row cleaners are nice. The iron pieces were welded on there when I bought it. Don't really know what the purpose is. I'm planning on cutting them off just haven't got around to it. Thanks for watching!!
The way it is now is how it was when I bought it. But it has had something on it. It's got a couple brackets on the main frame and the tubing welded to the marker. Thanks for watching!!
This was immensely fun and educational to watch. I’ve been toying around with buying a 7000 and row cropping a little bit. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching and thank you for the kind words! The 7000 is a great planter.
Enjoyed the multiple views around the tractor & planter as you rolled across the field. Thanks for the ride along. Take care.
Thank you for being here!! Got a new camera mount and was playing with it. Glad you liked it. Thanks again!
Glad the planter is working well ! Thanks for sharing!
I was very happy with it's performance. Thanks for being here watching friend!!
That is one nice planter
Thank you. It's a 1974 model. First year the 7000 was made a believe. Did a good job for me. Thanks for watching!!

It worked out ok. Corn is up and looking good. I'll have a finishing tool of some kind by next year. Thanks for watching!
Glad to see you finally planting
Thanks. Me too. Stayed wet for the most of May. It's up and looking good. Thanks so much for watching and commenting?

Nice one! How did you prepare the seed bed?
Looks like the planter delt pretty well with the ground conditions. Glad you got some seed planted.
It did real good. I just came from there and I've got a very nice stand of corn. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
Looking at getting an old 7100 planter rebuilt to plant ear corn and grind for cattle feed. Did you just disk and plant or disk and do-all then plant?
I pulled a chisel plow through it and then disk. Most times I just disk. Thanks for watching!!
I would like to get a planter like that. I just have an old Deere plate style!

Same planter as Chris from farming with Duffy ag , hope it grows well👍
It's a 1974 model with a few upgrades. Does a good job. Corn is up and looking good. Thanks for being here watching!!
Looking good. I like the row cleaners. What the deal with the two pieces of iron on the one marker?
The row cleaners are nice. The iron pieces were welded on there when I bought it. Don't really know what the purpose is. I'm planning on cutting them off just haven't got around to it. Thanks for watching!!
Did that planter have tanks on it for fertilizer?

That's neat. I'd love it if you could check out my continent if you would like. Small farm in Ohio
