    Nice work on the marker repair. Thanks for taking the time to give us an idea of how to make that repair. Take care.

    Thanks! Our local hydraulic shop said the cylinder was welded together and not repairable, it felt good to see how it came apart and take it back and say “here put some seals in it” 😂

      Glad I could help!! When I made this repair, I was just kind of figuring it out as I went. Way simpler that I expected. Good luck getting yours repaired!

    Thank you for making this video. I have issues with my row markers. I have the manual. But, this makes it wayyyy easier to understand.

      @@stinsonfarms6724 I just finished my rebuild. I sanded off the rust and old paint and re-painted it, too. Nobody is going to see it but I enjoyed doing this. Thanks for the help.

    Thank you for the video. I have to take mine apart tomorrow because 1 of my markers dropped and won't come up.

    Looks good. Check on the operation of the markers. Before is separated the lift from the marker, the markers would raise up 1st then the planter would come up. Mine also weighs a lot more being 6 rows and the tanks for fertilizer. It you have 2 remotes, it is not hard to separated and It makes it nice to be able to have the markers up at times.

      Thanks. I had thought about the 2 remote idea. Both tractors have 2 so that is an option. I was a little surprised the markers are so slow about coming up. But I am happy they at least work.

    how did you get the hydraulic line out?

  • @TheRobertralph
    @TheRobertralph 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    6:36 How did you overcome the little piece that was holding it in? Did you have to push it aside?

    • @stinsonfarms6724
      @stinsonfarms6724  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is enough room for it to slide by and come out. You have to make sure the block that way hanging is centered in the bracket. It should have enough play in it to slide over a little if it catches on the mounting block. Thank You!

    Some guys tilt their marker disks inward, but yours are outward. Do you know if it makes a difference?

    • @stinsonfarms6724
      @stinsonfarms6724  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine work great like they are. I don't know how they would work tilted the other way. Thanks for watching!!

    Just the video I needed to see! Do you know how long the long cable for the marker is supposed to be? I am having to redo my cables due to ripping off one of my markers.

      @stinsonfarms6724  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I don't know how long the cables are. Glad it helped. I was just figuring things out as I went. Thanks for watching!!

    I found a similar leak in mine this week, but coming from the steel line in the frame. Unfortunately, I can't get a replacement part quickly. I don't use the markers, so I was thinking about capping the hydraulic line that comes off the main cylinder (which raises and lowers the planter) and goes into the frame. Do you think that would cause any issues?

    • @stinsonfarms6724
      @stinsonfarms6724  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry just now seeing this. I don't think clamping the line would cause any issues at all. I was thinking of doing the same thing if it was something I couldn't fix quickly and just not use the markers. Thanks for watching!!

    a question the planter P7000 sows sorghum I would appreciate your answer

    • @stinsonfarms6724
      @stinsonfarms6724  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not plant Sorghum with the 7000. I don't have the right meters for sorghum. I have a plate type planter that I plant sorghum with. The meters I have with the 7000 would plant way too heavy. Thanks!
