When I was growing up a farmer in the area used a like new 4020 narrow front and a 6 row 7000 to plant. Always loved that combination. 3020 fit my planter just right! Thanks for watching!!
I'm definitely an Oliver/White guy. However, I do enjoy and respect ALL vintage equipment out in the field and still getting the job done. Your 3020 was running awesome and your 7000 planter looked like it was doing a great job. Other farmers can have the new shiny stuff - I'll take old dependable anytime. Thanks for posting this video and allowing us to go along for a ride with you. You should be proud of your machines.
We ran an 1850 Oliver for several years. It was a very good tractor. I enjoy working with the older equipment. Still gets the job done and it's fun to play around with. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
It is remarkable how similar our equipment line-ups are. I'm glad to see that someone can get in the field. We are still stuck in the middle of mud season up here!
This was the one little window I had of dry weather. It's raining again and will be wet for a while. Hope the weather improves for you soon! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Glad you can say that you've got some seed in the ground. Good to see the Ol' 3020 getting a workout with the planter. I can already see that you're going to be using that 3020 A LOT. Thanks for the ride alongs. Take care.
It's been raining since I planted the corn at home so at a stand still right now. I like the 3020. I'll be using it on the baler this summer too. Fun to drive. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Got some rain the night after planting. I like the older equipment. I planted with a John Deere 494 planter until 2003. Wish I still had it. Done a great job. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
some of the best times I had planting was with grandpas 4440 hitched up to a john deere 750 grain drill no monitors or electronics simple and easy to use.
Man yeah!!! Putting seed in the ground the WAY you want too!! I love that 3020 hooked to the planter, nothing wrong with that at all!! You did what you wanted to do so far!! Heck yeah, enjoyed that alot!! Can't wait to see more.whrn you get started up at the farm!! Thank you for the videos with the older stuff at the house, plowing, disking, and planting!! Thank you sir for that, and look fwd to more soon Mr Bill!! 😁😁👍👍
The old stuff can still get it done. Kind of like me, got a little age on it but not finished just yet! Lol Got started disking at the farm but we got a ton of rain and more coming so it will be a few days before I can get back in it. Thanks for continuing to be here watching, commenting and supporting!!
Not far from 1000. That tractor and planter are a good match. Ya'll look a lot drier than we are. We've got 80 acres planted. Hoping to make a good dent in the acres tomorrow before rain return Thursday. We've been having to plant in between showers here.
I really like the old tractor. It will be perfect for the planter and baler. The farm is wetter ground than what it is at home. I've been able to work a little ground up there but most is too wet still. Got more rain Monday night so it will be a few more days now. Never really thought I would get to 1000 but I guess there is people that like what I'm doing. Just an old school country boy! Lol Thanks and I hope yall get the weather you need to get the seed in the ground.
Hello how are you? Enjoyed your video I would say I prefer more talking but it is what it is. The equipment your using is awesome my class. I have a 1968 John Deere 710 and other things. How wide are your rows? Hope your day is great I'll be enjoying and watching thankyou. Is there a way I can call you? Thanks
Doing good here! Glad you enjoyed the video. My equipment is nothing special but I like it. Like the older stuff better than the new. I plant corn on 30 in rows and beans on 15 in rows this year. You can find me on facebook and message me there if you want. Thanks for watching!!
The is equipment that our grandpa's know how to make thing last.
Yes! And I know how to work on! Lol The new technology is great but I personally enjoy using the older equipment. Thanks for being here watching!!
Used to plant with the 3010 and 7000. They make a good pair.

Glad to see the 3020 pumping seed. Looks like a pretty good setup. Hopefully the corn does good for you. Looking forward to seeing it in a few months.
The 3020 and the 7000 fit well together! Corn is up and looking good so far. Thanks for watching!!
Cool old rig
Thanks!! The 3020 is a good old tractor and the planter is a 1974 model. I think the first year the 7000 was made. I enjoy working with the old stuff.

To this point I have never used a monitor of any kind on anything. I like doing things the old way when it works! Thanks for watching!!
