I was on an organizing committee for years for a Pride Prom that took place in New Haven, CT, and I know people that organize them in other cities as well. Check to see if there is one in your area!

For my prom back in 2014, I was voted for Prom King. It was taken very negative by the school. Teachers who I thought supported me told me I didn't deserve it because I was a woman and some male students tried to take the crown off me. If it wasn't for my friends, I probably would have been assaulted. I'm happy that I'm seeing this, feel happy to be yourself!
