I had the time of my life in NY and this is only Part 1 of the epic experience Buzzfeed gave all 5 of us. And even though we are thousands of miles away from one another we are like a little family!

I don't understand why so many people have issues with the LGTBQ+ community, they aren't hurting anyone by being who they were born to be. And people who use religion as an excuse to shun or hate them are disgusting. Happy pride month to anyone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, you guys have my love and support.

I’m a mother to 2 children and I love them 120% I will continue to love and support them no matter who they love. Should in the future one or both of them open up and share that they are transgender or gay I will still love and support them. It breaks my heart when I see parents rejecting their children. I wish that I could take in all the children that have been rejected and give them a safe and loving home. We are deserve to be loved for how we truly are.

Harshil Patel I just think equality should be inclusive. It's not called "straight prom" it's just called "prom" and it should be for everyone. There was a handful of gay couples that went to my high school prom, one of them was even in my prom group. We all had a blast. Honestly, it's really only a big deal if you make it one. If this community is striving for acceptance then seclusion and segregation isn't the way to do it.

It’s so odd for me to hear bout how unaccepting these places are towards being queer and stuff. At my school nobody really cares if you’re gay or not (people are constantly coming out), granted we don’t have a prom and we learn almost to much about social justice issues (as our math scores could be better). But I’m sorry to hear these kids don’t feel comfortable or accepted when going to school.
I totally wish my school had had a queer prom. I think it would’ve definitely been a success and totally amazing! I hope the idea of a “queer” prom spreads to more schools so lgbtqia+ kids can feel safe and have fun! ♥️
