It's sad, but everyone reacts differently, I know it's the right thing to do, to be supportive, and she knows that too, but no one is perfect and everyone reacts in their own way. You know it's hard to hear that sort of thing, it turns your World upside down as a parent.
Kate & Bullet :D you don't fail as a parent because you're child ended up gay, you had no jurisdiction over that. You fail as a parent when you decide not to be a parent to your child anymore bc they are gay, that you had a choice and jurisdiction over.

Okay being a lesbian in high school that isn’t exactly accepted at home or in my family, I love that Buzzfeed is doing Queer Prom. I think it’s an incredible way to make these kids feel comfortable and happy with who they are and to really promote the community and unity for teens. Also I am living for literally of them and I think it’s gonna be an amazing experience for them!

I have watched this video so many times since it was released. Since my family doesn't believe me and doesn't like anyone LGBTQ+ because they think they want to expand their group (I DONT GET IT EITHER). I really want to go to all LGBTQ+ events to meet more fellow LGBTQ+ people.

My parents always say that if I ever come out as gay or trans they would accept me for who I am and my choices. They'll love me no matter what. I am very thankful for my parents being like that.
The Squid I remember a while back my mother and I and we were just talking and suddenly my mother said "you know that whatever you grow up to be ill except you" and five months later I came out as a lesbian :) it makes me so happy when people are so open and happy with gay or trans people

Kids these days..... are so brave and amazing. I'm only 26 but I see such a difference in today's highschoolers compared to myself during that time. I don't think I'll ever be able to tell my family I'm nb and like girls. I love them and for the most part they are good and kind people, but they're stubborn when it comes to this stuff. Why am I just seeing this now!? I love this so much! I can relate to a lot of these stories. I know who I am and my sexuality and stuff, but my father hates it, so I don't ever talk to him about it or really my mom. I pretty much have cut them out, but I still pretend that I am the same as I have.
