Thumbz up on the car. I believe ppl enjoy their cars in different ways. Customs, mods, stock.... itz all good. And i agree, that, you gotta think about your family when you are considering spending on your car.
Mr. Grey I love your v6 mustang it sounds not only awesome but all of your set ups are truly amazing! I have a s550 myself v6 2016 with performance mods such as catback exhaust cold air intake long tube headers cat delete h-pipes and a x-pipe for my mid and I just recently order a ring and pinion for my gear I believe it’s a 3.7 or a 3.8 with a new oil cooler and I can’t wait to try it out once arrive and install but yea I will let you know what it’s like but man watching your videos I love it! Keep up the great work!
The shop determined with a laser that the pulley is off centered by .150”. Procharger said while rare, they have seen this happen before and are sending out an assortment of shims. Oh well, there goes my opportunity for tune updates since I won’t get the car back until the weekend.
Wow this is almost the exact same direction I’m taking my grey 2017 3.7 manual. So far I’ve done CAI, Exhaust, and Wheels. Tune, tint, and then deleting the rear deck are next. No procharger until my warranty expires ;P Awesome channel by the way.
greyghost3.7 do you know if the 2015 V6 has the same driveshaft issues as the s197s? I’m about to get my tune but I’m worried about increasing the speed limiter above 125 and there aren’t any aftermarket deiveshafts for the 2015+ V6 manual.
Paul D. It’s a two piece from the factory with comfort in mind over performance. If you’re going to add power I’d change it out. They do make them for our cars. This one in the link is installed on my car now. shaftmasters.com/3aldrfomu20v14.html
greyghost3.7 thanks! I want a tune and gears first, but every gear installer around me is asking $800 just for labor and I cant imagine 3.73s making a big enough difference to be worth $1100 all said and done.
Paul D. That’s roughly what I paid. A little pricey for our cars since they have to change the differential to accept the new gears. The tune and the gears did more for my car than anything else hands down. Up until I boosted it that is.
Love the tires and how the rear fills the wheel well. I want the same for my car but I drive mines about 150 miles a day and one of the reason I got the car was it’s so comfortable on road trips. I’ve been told however wide rims will make the car ride harsh. Is that true? How does your new wheel setup compare with the stock ride?
dhsw41800 In my experience the wheel diameter is more impactful than the width. Meaning 20” rims have less tire sidewall so the ride quality suffers. I dropped down to an 18” wheel. Same width as my 20” wheels. Both 10” wide. The 18” wheels have much more sidewall. Ride is more comfortable and I have better traction.
I love my mpt tune. I also put the 3.73 gears on my v6. My gears are quite no difference in sound of before. I had a different v6 with the 3.55 installed from the factory and it was loud and also at low speeds it wouldn’t act right. With these 3.73 gears on the car I have now it drives normally at low speeds and no loud gear sounds.
I love the s550 body style and of course I would get a V8 if I could. I like to see what others have done with the V6. Your car just sits right, looks great. I am going to look for a 2015 V6 manual because the prices are decent and I think I could have a lot of fun with it. Sorry for the ramble. Brian
True car enthusiast right here. People that bash other people’s cars because it’s not a v8 or manual are low lives. What’s the point of modding your car to look and be like everyone else’s?
I think I read on one of these post that you carry an extra drive belt in your trunk. I got my procharger installed today. I went with the 3.70” pulley and used the belt you recommended. As soon as the shop started my car up for the first time after the install, the belt slipped and ran off the edge of the pulley. Fortunately, I had another belt but to my surprise the shop said they had to remove the charger just to change the belt. Is that’s what you do to change the belt?
dhsw41800 I’m almost 25k miles on the Procharger now. Never had a slip or a snap from a belt. Typically that means the tension is too loose or too tight. Sometimes on a new install it means something is misaligned between pulleys. You don’t have to take the unit off. In this vid I cover how I do it without taking the unit off. Hope it helps. Good luck! th-cam.com/video/2i3udrNeWl8/w-d-xo.html
Ethan Virchis They’re raxiom switchbacks. They stay white unless you turn the blinker on. When the blinker is on they blink orange. They need to blink orange to stay legal.
greyghost3.7 oh okay thanks bro, cause some people experience their blinker blinking really fast inside the car. Do you have the link to the ones you have?
Dylan Coric Been a few years now. I think I spent like 500 on the install and another 300ish on parts. A much cheaper option now is to try and find a junkyard 5.0 and just pull the whole pumpkin off of it. You can just swap yours out. The 3.7 and 5.0 S550’s use the same spline count and the rears are the same size.
Sick ride man... I like the red interior lights you got for the floors. Where can I get those?? I just picked up a 2015 V6, black on black. I’m looking to add some mods next year... I’ll add you on Instagram.
TheReal NateDogg I paid 650 in labor. Check my vid on everything you need. Also has links to all the parts you’ll need in the vid description. No new housing needed. th-cam.com/video/7DgLfXekcDQ/w-d-xo.html
TheReal NateDogg check these guys out. Make a great product and are cheaper than the drive shaft shop guys. This is the link for your auto. Same brand but for a manual I’m having installed in January. shaftmasters.com/3aldrfomu20v12.html
TheReal NateDogg no worries there. all the S550 models gt,v6, and ecoboost have the same spline axle and 8.8 rear ends. you just need the diff part and the gears themselves.
Yes It's Me Thanks. I paid 24k brand new in April of 2016. I’ve never added everything up and I’m not sure I’d want to know lol. I consider my build to never be done so I add new parts when the finances permit. 😂
greyghost3.7 yea just curious. I paid 33k for my Premium with Track Pack '15 GT....I think I have around 52k total in mine plus taxes, not happy about it but it is what it is lol :)
Bass for me it’s gears, tune, and single piece drive shaft. Some guys are running more power on the two piece drive shaft. But it’s failed on some others. You drop some weight and gain a few hp by changing it plus the piece of mind knowing you’re safe with more power. Makes it an early must do for me. It’s next up on my list.
the_grey3.7 I thought for sure gears and tune. Got me thinking of the driveshaft now. I've heard of the problems with it but I can't find any info on whether ford did anything with the new s550s
I love my 3.7
So do I. I have a 2017.

Hey bud, great car and video.
Question, does mishimoto or anyone make a better radiator for the v6?
Is the GT500 radiator also compatible?
Thanks

steven weine nice man!
Question. Did the SCT tuner take care of the calibration for the larger rim size with the speedometer.?
dzgtnbz Yup sure does. You can find the revolutions per mile of your new tire size online and then adjust with the SCT. That’ll correct the speedo.
@@Doomsday410 thank you for the prompt reply I really appreciate it..
Where did you get the floor lights from? Can’t find their website.
Perfect, congratulations
Jose Nivar thank you
I’m thinking about buying a 2015 Mustang V6 and I want to do a lot of stuff that you did to yours to mind
Dimitri For sure man these cars are great
For those 10 seconds or less...haha. man, were alot alike. You totally get it.
brent hecht lol thanks man 😄
When you said you needed differentials when you get the 3.73 gears what did you mean
I love the s550 body style and of course I would get a V8 if I could. I like to see what others have done with the V6. Your car just sits right, looks great. I am going to look for a 2015 V6 manual because the prices are decent and I think I could have a lot of fun with it. Sorry for the ramble. Brian
laura sawdo Thanks. Yeah you can have a lot of fun with these cars at the price and still leave plenty for mods.

Tyler Harris Well said couldn’t agree more!
Where did you buy the Screen stereo ?
Salvador Parra American Muscle. Here’s the link. www.americanmuscle.com/raxiom-nav-screen-upgrade-1516.html
They don’t sell it anymore 😭
Sal Padilla I just checked and saw that. Wonder what happened.

How do you get rid of the blinker light going off when you put the led lights
Ethan Virchis They’re raxiom switchbacks. They stay white unless you turn the blinker on. When the blinker is on they blink orange. They need to blink orange to stay legal.
greyghost3.7 I’m saying, when you switch to led’s don’t they begin to hyperflash? How do you deal with that?
Ethan Virchis They look normal speed to me. Here’s a vid of the same ones th-cam.com/video/eVPmjq2PE_o/w-d-xo.html
greyghost3.7 oh okay thanks bro, cause some people experience their blinker blinking really fast inside the car. Do you have the link to the ones you have?
Ethan Virchis I got them from American Muscle but I just checked and I don’t see them anymore? I bought them two years ago.
Where did you get that splitter at?
Joel Adame it’s the Street Scene chin spoiler from American Muscle. www.americanmuscle.com/street-scene-chin-spoiler-1516.html
Best thing about living in Germany, no speed limits, can open my baby right up 😁😎
Do you have the link for the Ford Racing seatbelts?
Jfiv _ sure thing got em on eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/X2-FORD-RACING-Black-Carbon-Fiber-Look-Seat-Belt-Cover-Shoulder-Pads-/222443559274
Love the car btw have the same one 🔥
Jfiv _ awesome! thanks man!
very cool, congrats!
Jaime Ruchman thank you!
the_grey3.7 also on content you could race a stock V6 or an Ecoboost, those videos will fly if you have the chance!
Jaime Ruchman good suggestions man. definitely want to get some head to head footage. thanks!
Did you get a safety loop for your driveshaft?
CHINO AN7RAX No but probably should. They recommend them if you run faster than 12.99.
How much did it cost for the 373 gearing?

Doomsday, I like the idea of one of theses with a Procharger unit? 3,7 supercharged ( which might be the future, or swap out a Ecoboost V6!
Anthony Hunt Actually Procharged this car after this video. th-cam.com/video/4q-FA8PHhxA/w-d-xo.html
How much was the gear install? And link to the adapter for it? I also thought you had to buy a whole new housing

greyghost3.7 thanks for the info. I'll need to find a driveshaft down the road, didn't see one on AM for the auto
greyghost3.7 also it says the diff part needs 34 spline axles??
TheReal NateDogg check these guys out. Make a great product and are cheaper than the drive shaft shop guys. This is the link for your auto. Same brand but for a manual I’m having installed in January. shaftmasters.com/3aldrfomu20v12.html

Kenni 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rears
I wish I knew how to drive manual ☹️
Honestly just get one, you'll learn it pretty quickly. It sounds harder than it really is.
See If you can rent a vehicle with a manual tranny.
