  • Fuel pump died. And it got some bad gasoline. So, we're cleaning the tank and the fuel injectors, replacing the pump, putting in new spark plugs and a K&N filter.
I'm also installing some T-Rex frame sliders while the fairings are all loose!!
I can't be more excited, can't wait to ride again!!

Wow ..tough break. Haven’t seen bad gas take out a fuel pump before but definitely seen it clog fuel injectors so bad that it caused lean misfires and lack of power. Warn everyone you know don’t go to that gas station where you got that fuel.

I have. Same gas station's fuel wreaked havoc on my Mustang as well. I had a friend of mine on the the local motorcycle FB meet page a message to avoid that gas station.
Im going to find an online map for gas stations that actually sell ethanol-free gasoline as well. From what I hear the VFR isnt picky about octane so, I'll pay a little more to have cleaner fuel.

Hey how did you take the two separate tank fairings off without removing the bottom side fairings?? Is there a trick?

I cut down an old Allen hex key to remove the side panel with a spanner if that helps.
