VFR1200F FIXED AND PAINTED OEM LUGGAGE
Previously, I came across damaged panniers and a top box on Ebay for $235.
With help of some filler, 3M sandpaper, lots of patience and the good folks at ColorRite, I was able to make the panniers look nice again.
I also painted the rear side panels, changing them from factory Digital Silver to Candy Prominence Red as well.

Low Cost Exhaust For My VFR!! And I Love It!!!
มุมมอง 2.5K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I picked up this Delkevíc 13" tri-oval on Amazon for only $234. The installation was very easy. The finish of the product and mounting hardware was very good. And the sound? Well, that's a matter of opinion. In my opinion it's great!!! Oh, and work perfectly with the factory panniers!

Just highlighting what I've been up to for the past 10 days and the progress that's been made. The bike runs better than ever and I love it even more. Although I like the factory exhaust with the flappy stuck open full-time, I ordered a 13" tri-oval exhaust setup. That will arrive next week and I'll make another video to show you guys how it looks and sounds. 🙂 I'm almost ready for my Don Ghul ...

Fuel pump died. And it got some bad gasoline. So, we're cleaning the tank and the fuel injectors, replacing the pump, putting in new spark plugs and a K&N filter. I'm also installing some T-Rex frame sliders while the fairings are all loose!! I can't be more excited, can't wait to ride again!!

I FINALLY came across a full set of factory luggage for my VFR1200. I was on a mission to not pay $1,000 for them. With a little patience (8 months worth), I found these on Ebay for $235.00. Paint is on order from colorrite.com as this video is being uploaded.

2013 Mustang Hood Vents w Rustoleum Peelable Paint

I got bored today so decided to paint my hood vents. Typically people use plasti-dip but, Ive never really been impressed with it. Add to that, plasti-dip requires a glossifier which renders weird results if not used properly. I used Rustoleum peelable paint for this, just as an experiment and I ended up liking the results.

When you take out the sag and adjust the hydraulic settings on the suspension and everything is perfect on the suspension .. Throw 2mm the steering wheel plate down. that is, from the fork to the plate, Honda says 38mm, you can do it 40 mm ... With this you will achieve a very fast geometry in turns to a point where you lose the weight of the engine and even the superbike will not be able to leave you .. If you want to see from where you measure the fork from the plate there is information in the garage book .. You can also find it online

In my country there is not much distance on a highway, it is an island and you can go everywhere through mountains and turns .. We have perfect asphalt and it has countless turns of all kinds .. Closed open turns. It is like a playground for motorcyclists .. I have put up with my vfr with very strong drivers who also deal with the track. I put them with r1 rsv4 panigale agusta f3 motors and I could follow them everywhere .. Because the secret is tire suspensions and geometry .. 3 different things but with the most perfect motorcycle

My son was like, " that would have been you if you waited 1 day longer." The corbin is an awesome seat. I'll try to find the model and get that info for you. I'm 5' 9" so I tend to scoot forward a bit towards the tank as I'm using the stock handle bar set up. Considering Heli-bars. There is plenty of real estate behind me on the seat and it has a cut-out for a corbin back rest for two up. Well designed and fits the lines of the bike really well.

@@chestypuller4591 how are you planning on installing bar risers with heated grips? Just wondering because I accidentally installed heated grips before risers, then found out the risers are just replacement bars. There's no options on the vfr1200 to just raise what you have. It'll be a bar replacement, meaning removing or replacing the grips. That left one being glued is something I really don't want to ruin. I messed up one install and had to buy another pair already. Expensive mistake. I'm also 5'9"and was considering the corbin seat. There's always a lot of nut hugging that gas tank, unless I'm just laying out which isn't a sustainable position for extended periods. Hurts my neck after a while looking up so long.

@@JohannesTraining You're welcome. My apologies for taking so long. I had to change phones and trouble with my account. But, I hope that helps. These bikes are an absolute joy to own.

10 seconds and piece of tissue will show that nylon ball is dancing around venting and allowing unmetered air into the engine even at idle. Remove the filter and see for yourself. Have the filter on top offers no resistance. This breather disrupts the normal build-up of vacuum in the crankcase by the PCV system, causing more gases, contaminents, and acids to build up. My little $80 OBDII tool showed a loss of of air reported by the MAF and a 8-10% increase in fuel trims, indicating unmetered air entering the system. This unmetered and unfiltered air is not health for your engine. The only way to get it to stop dancing around is to put my hand over it and sealing off so the PCV system can build enough vacuum to overcome the positive pulses. As soon as you disturb the vacuum or reduce it just by touching the throttle it starts venting again. All engines have pulses of positive and negative pressure due to the rotating crank and pistons.
