    II didn't catch your full outro, but 'm surprised you didn't realize the cleverness of the film. This movie has one of the greatest twists. That reveal when he wakes up at the end was nuts when it came out. I feel you guys didn't appreciate that. Also the rare instance that the bad guy wins after fooling everyone which was awesome. I'm not sure what plot hole you're referring to. Everything is explained. Also this is more of a psychological horror compared to the sequels. Not really that bloody. It actually doesn't rely on gore which is the misconception about the movie thanks to the sequels. Everyone is entitled to an opinion of course, but I feel you either missed or misinterpeted a few things to not fully appreciate that this is actually a really clever film.

    One of the best franchises in cinema. It really opened a new genre. P.S.: As for the age gap, it's just a number. Many people aren't that lucky to have found their soulmate (me included) so consider yourselves blessed to have one another :). Good people to trust and love are hard to find. Cheers.

    Colin is speaking as if he is better director or writer. that ending has to be 1 of the greats. i can understand, that not eveyone likes each movie, but to say things like it was convenient and all for this movie plot, or there was holes in it is wrong. I liked the part where he atleast explained few details what he didnt like but some of them i felt little too amateur, police not catching the guy was part of the movie. if every police guy catch the villian, i dont think there will be 2 hour horror movie in general. then there will be only movies with ghosts. but not to blame your overall channel and reactions as they are generally great. i just got little upset with things colins said. He could just say he didnt like the movie and then explain what new idea he thinks would be correct just as probably brainstorming topic.

    This is, in my opinion, the best in the series. The first few are decent, but this one focuses more on the mystery, intrigue, and detective work. The rest of the series, once the secret's out, devolves into an excuse to be gory and horrific. There is a story plot, and some interesting moments, but.. eehh..
    John Kramer is a great villain though.

      Because people trust doctors. Doctors are even-keeled, good under pressure, and they're going to tell you the truth - they do it everyday when they deliver bad news. Telling him he was a doctor was a way to calm him down.

But the new SAW X is between 1 and 2 but need part 4 to understand the end credit scene in X the only one that has one. None of the others have an end credit scene but it is important to the story. I hope you watch at least 1 thru 7 and Saw X

    In the sequel, and all the sequels that follow, you will see that Jigsaw is actually onto something here, that he makes a good argument for his extracurricular activities. I always say, most of the "victims" are the actual villains in these films, and Jigsaw is somewhere between vigilante and antihero. You could also say he's a life coach. There's only a few participants that are actual victims, don't deserve it.

    • @andreygirl
      @andreygirl 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      do you really believe that? sure, his retributive justice approach is appealing at first, but you have to concede a lot of things to pretend that he's a vigilante. you have to concede that a) all his victims were bad people, and b) all his victims deserved what happened to them. the first one is highly debatable. jeff denlon, a man who simply grieved the loss of his child (when john himself reacted to grief by putting people in traps for faulty bikes they sold to HIS family members)? bobby dagen's wife? allie and diana, even? the victims in the shotgun carousel trap were literally just random people who had JOBS. oh, and i forgot about the man in the first film who did nothing but *checks notes* be mentally ill. and those are just the most obviously innocent people, but i would argue that calling addicts and prostitutes "villains" doesn't sit well either. plus, for even the traps involving those who ARE bad people, it's really hard to say that they deserved what happened to them. should we put all unfaithful partners to the death? should everyone who's ever lied about anything be subject to a gruesome amount of torture? that isn't how our legal system works, and for good reason. the punishment doesn't fit the crime. anyone who thinks jigsaw is even remotely in the right here has a disturbing desire to inflict punishment upon others.

    • @andreygirl
      @andreygirl 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      not even to mention that it's pretty clear john doesn't believe his own moral code. sure, he probably does on a surface level, but he's a psychopath who likes hurting people. he's hiding behind a pretend morality so that he can kill people. he makes so many exceptions for innocents throughout the films! and like i mentioned, i think one of the most obvious examples is his trap for the guy who "killed" his nephew. he reacted in a more aggressive way than jeff, the man he actually punished for mourning. enjoy the movies for what they are, which is fun, pretty bad gory flicks. but trying to claim that john is right, or was ever right, completely misses the point of the movies.

    Sorry Lorna, after watching your reaction (and therefor re-watching it) I have to admit, I'm more team Colin. I only watched the movie back when it came out, and it now seems I remembered it better than it actually was. I remembered the plot was a little too "constructed" for me even back than, but I forgot how much questionable plot-twists and -holes they threw in. While trying to tell a smart plot, they somehow outsmarted themself. "Seven" would be a movie where it's "done right".
    I still think the basic setup is great, put two people in a room, with steaks that high. With good acting and a good script that premise alone could have carried a movie by itself. Just stay in that room, forget about all the overhead, just focus on the psychology of those two characters in that situation.
    I still give a like ofc, but personally I don't need you to continue with that franchise.
