When Tony said "What happened to baby Janice...", he was making a movie reference. What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? is a 1962 American psychological horror thriller film directed and produced by Robert Aldrich, from a screenplay by Lukas Heller, based on the 1960 novel of the same name by Henry Farrell. The film stars Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, and features the major film debut of Victor Buono. It follows an aging former child star tormenting her paraplegic sister, a former film star, in an old Hollywood mansion.
The actor playing the 83 year old looks good because he was 64 or 65 when he filmed that scene in 1999. That actor is still alive and is set to turn 90 in June. If he was actually 83, he'd be around 118 years old 25 years later.
When talking to Janice about Livia moving in with her, Tony says it would be like "Whatever happened to baby Janice?". This is a reference to the 1962 film "Whatever happened to baby Jane?", about a wheelchaired woman who moves in with her sister.
Colin's right, Janice is worse than Livia 😁 And I think Barbara is pretty happy, Carmela just hates to admit it. Janice was imagining pushing Livia down the stairs when she noticed the emergency exit sign 😂
I think all Livia's children are unhappy. Seems to me like Barbara, while very limited in appearances, is meant to be portrayed with an anorexic condition, in contrast to her siblings who are heavyset. I just got the impression, even though she got out of the family business, the actresses who played her were conspicuously slim... even slighter than 'slim' actually. I believe it's also mirrored later in the Sacrimoni family, with John's other (not getting married) daughter.
Most people missed it but this was the episode where someone, anyone, could've learned of where Livia had hidden her money. She did have some. Junior refers to it in a later episode about his late brother Johnny (Tony's dad) leaving her a huge amount, and she was the only one who knew where it was. It was never found!
So Tony's comment to Janice, Whatever Happened to Baby Janice was a reference to an absolutely GREAT classic film: Whatever Happened To Baby Jane starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, which you guys should totally do on the channel, you'd love it!!!!!!! A lot of people go to the house where it was filmed and take their pictures in front of it in Los Angeles, it's great, please check it out!!!
SCREEECH!! Was loving the reaction and binge watching to try to catch up but it looks like something must have happened. A few months now without anything. Whatever happened is of course your own business. Best of luck and hope everything gets worked out. 🤜🤛
Suggestions to watch: Apollo 13, Casablanca, Sleepless In Seattle,French Kiss, You've Got Mail, Erin Brockovich, Good Will Hunting, Mama Mia, Pretty Woman, Chicago, Suspect, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, McKlintock, The Sting.
@@weebitreacts Yeah plus everybody else does that shite, leave it for all those hundreds of channels that just keep copying each other and recycling crap, you guys are too good for that!!! There's a few good ones in there Casablanca, McClintock and The Sting, the rest is bloody mid!!!

Ya know there’s about 70 episodes to go. At the rate you’re going it will take you more than 2 years to complete the series. And you haven’t even got to the difficult episodes yet. Don’t worry... most reactors never make it thru Season 3.

Thanks for clearing that up. Appreciated! 😊
Everyone: Livia is evil and manipulative
Carmella: You’re not gonna believe this, your sister’s here.

"He still gets to be el capitano"
Yes, but obviously in name only. Tony runs the show now.

Pinochle is a card game.
Chico Marx was supposed to be a world-class Pinochle player but he said he lost all his money to Harpo! 😂
