      ...and which is why they know what you are doing and will not agree to anything. They could care less. Their mentality is "ill never have time to fix it and im too much of an incompetent hillbilly moron to fix it myself so everyone else can suffer like me." And then when the bank forecloses the property and has to clean it up, all the cars are taken to the nearest scrapyard and since they have no current or useable parts to the owner who only sells 10 year old cars and newer, they get promptly crushed and shredded.

      I used to do scrap metal, and I would come across places like that with piles of valuable metal all over the property. And there would be an old guy there who is like no no...I am good I like it the way it is. I would keep tabs on the places. Sure enough every now and then the person would die (usually the case) and then its the children doing a clean up to sell or just to clean up the property and its everything must go! go! go! pile of rads $0 load them up! pile of random metal $0 get it outta here. Entire barn contents expect a few things (maybe not a tractor or something) free! outta here!

      So He should sell them off to the scrapper and the crushers? Sure, that makes a whole lot of sense - because that where most people take these things, they either scrap for parts and crush it, or they crush it after paying is little as they can.
      These cars are safe.

    So is the owners plan to let it sit there until the floor pans rot through and the whole underside of the car is rusted completely out and then decide he wants to sell it for $18000.00? I 've seen that story more than once in my life time, LOL. Convince him to sell it now. What a waste of a car if not!

    You guys should trek up here to Vermont! There's a local junkyard that has trucks and cars going back to the 30s and such. Most of them are in pretty rough shape, but with a little bit of work, one could get some of this stuff running, and a few of them are rare.

      GMC Jimmy Yeah, he’ll let it sit and rot... and maybe despite that it will still increase in value if it’s a desirable car... pretty crappy for the next guy though, having to fix all the issues caused by letting the car sit for years... crappy for the car, too. If you really love cars you won’t do this. He can say he’s a collector or they’re investments or whatever else, but he’s just a hoarder.

    • @Salvara
      @Salvara 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ethanbunch3274 military tanks aren't civilian vehicles made to be going 200+mph regularly, mate. Carbon fibre is lighter and more durable than steel, its not the material that breaks its the design of the vehicle with crumple zones so that the car does break when you crash.
      These crumple zones elongate the time that the crash takes to happen which means more damage is done to the car but less to the person inside the car, saving your life. Almost no cars are carbon fibre anyway, pretty much only supercars or race cars with aftermarket parts.

    • @ethanbunch3274
      @ethanbunch3274 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Salvara okay carbon fiber is strong, but no where near as strong as metal. And metal is alot heavier. A metal vehicle moving at the same speed as a carbon fiber vehicle is gonna hit alot harder than the carbon fiber. Also meaning that itll take more force to get it moving, which means in a wreck, my 1991 f150 is not gonna move and the carbon fiber vehicle is gonna be destroyed. Im not gonna rely on "crumple zones" and lightweight material to save me in a car crash. It might be "more efficient" to have carbon fiber material at higher speeds, but if you hit something your screwed. Also metal stands alot longer and is easier to maintain than carbon fiber.
