Traded my 1215a toward it . I think it’s a cool design but I notice it’s quieter than the fat ps5 but seems to out more heat out on exhaust i guess this is normal?? Its fun though i play it more than my series x😂😂

Now with that said…this is my first purchase of the PS. I have the X BOX series X…I’ve ordered this…just to have both platforms…primarily for my son…he loves to game…I rarely play.
I got the PS5 slim and I couldn’t be happier, all the complaints I read about are lies, the console is very silent and it has a beautiful design

I've set an option that all games that load by default target Performance Mode, also I have the Microphone option set to Headset by default and off Controller. All my games by default install to my SSD instead of my console. I create folders in my game library for Story Games, Shooters, Sports, PS Portal, Platinum Games etc. Also hide games from my trophy list that I have no platinumed to keep my trophy list clean and delete games that are at 0 trophy percent 😅

@CKidM I hope so! I got the bundle with spider man, I havent played any of the other spider man games tho so I'm hesitant but I might try it out. I have hogwarts legacy on switch but I also wanted it for ps5 so I got that to play too. Seems dumb when I already have it but ps5 is way better graphics and has exclusive content that switch edition just doesn't have. And the game was 50% off for boxing day so decided to get it. I'm unsure what other games I should try, any recommendations?

Yep as long as you are signed in the same PSN account you can use the PS app to search for and buy digital games and it will install it onto your system.
@CKidM how can I stop it from automatically trying to keep downloading because I have the spiderman 2 bundle and didn't realize the game was going to be alot of gb's to download. And I only have so much hotspot to use and my phone signal I barely get a signal so that doesn't help either. So that was why I was wondering if using my own phone data if the game could be downloaded that way.

Yes, everything is the same including the software and user interface only thing that changed is storage as far as I aware of. There might be some very minor stuff that changed but I think almost everything is the same in the user interface.

In damn I downloaded GTA online , red redemption 2 , battlefield 2042 , drying light 2 , assassin's Creed Valhalla & battlefront 2 !
It was all done within one hour , I was truly impressive..

Quick note for customize the quick menu, I think PS5 changed something, there is even an indication now when you're on it, it's not longer click PS button a second time, it's Customize hamburger menu to customize the order

I mean if he's comfortable docking his Nintendo Switch when it's docked playing on 1080p then I say keep what he has...but if he wants better graphics then the PS5 would be a good option for him to get...but it depends on what he likes. Is he comfortable with the graphics on the NS...or does he prefer better graphics and way more functionality.

Yo I just got a ps5 slim and was wondering for anyone who has one, is there a reason there isnt themes or a way to customize the homescreen. I feel like there's a whole settings portion that they just forgot to, or were to lazy to add for the home screen ui. You cant even move the games around in any specific orders or folders, which I love to do cus I'm a neat freak. It's not that big of a deal cus I'm playing games not looking at the homescreen the whole time, but still when I am looking at it, I'm like WTF Sony, am I not allowed to personalize my own $500 console anymore. That's been a basic feature with both Playstation and Xbox since like 2002.

i agree it kinda sucks not having themes but i guess the reason they did it is cuz all games have their own “theme” when you hover over them
@ZxroTH-cam true, it's just that I don't prefer it changing the themse to whatever game you hover over, simply because I favor some game themes more than others. Some are just ugly. And some I'm disappointed i can't make permanent.
@@SoaringShade i think a cool workaround would be to have an option to change themes for individual games, whether its your own pictures or community made ones

I love the dualsense and have many dualsense including edge. Controller tech is amazing but battery life sucks on the dualsense no matter which one you have.
Sony really needs to up the battery mah
Battery life isn't a problem if you have more than one controller (most people do). I always run my controllers til they die, then plug a fully charged second one in when it does. It takes 3 seconds! I have always ignored the 'low battery' warning at 20% on my PS3, PS4 and PS5 - you get 2 - 3 extra hours by doing this.
