Slick, cheap and easy! For others building their own note ya can often harvest parts like Dodge Caravan or other rear axles, or spindles and wheels from junk front-wheel drive cars. Space-saver tires last many years outdoors and still roll when they dry rot (I used mine on mobile engine hoists).
I’m a pumper in the oilfield and the one I have for my run is not this fancy. I love this design! We tow our drags with 2 D ring shackles and a this nylon rope. 🙃 wish the company could fork up the cash and build these kind of drags. Would make going across cattle guards a whole lot easier with those adjustable wheels!
Really well made product. Does it take much power to pull? I am building a lawn tractor that will be quite low geared and wondering if it would pull something like this.
It would be nice to hear about how you built it. Was any of it manufactured before YOU built it? I have been looking for PULL options in a box blade... as opposed to a LIFT type.
All made from steel I had laying around the house and the cutting edge I got from a earth moving jobsite. I just uploaded a video of the back of it you can see how it's put together.
How heavy do think this weighs,,,I have a driveway with holes but good aprt of driveway is hard compacted rock and gravel and most blades just bounce on it,,i bought a 100 lb cutting edge and wanting to use it on a land plane or box blade i may build,,only iisue is finding plate steel without breaking the bank..like your design
@billyschechter8870 the danger is something your towing on the highway breaking away. Research it, the ball is not meant for that kind of application. Many injuries from such misuse.
@embededfabrication4482 it is only being pulled to grade roads. If it needs to be transported, it goes on a trailer it is never pulled on the street. It's a piece of equipment
@billyschechter8870 I'm talking about when you pull a trailer on the highway with that hitch. I fabricate things too and I was just as surprised to find out the ball hitch isn't that strong. People have lost their lives using ball hitch the wrong way.

Yea I think it would do fine the blade is really only skimming the ground to fill in low spots
Awesome i want one!
What is your channel that shows that video of the build. Thanks

It was all built from scratch

, ball hitch not meant to take much force
Yea it's been on there this whole time and still works fine

@@FourthWayRanch it also has its own drop hitch that is used to pull it to get it lower to the ground
