Superb presentation. One small suggestion. At the end of the presentation, I feel, a complete singing of the kriti would immerse the Rasikas deep into the meditative mood. Like a tapas.

Thank you Ravikiran, Madhusudhanan and a classy team. Vaiteeswaran Kovil visits real or virtual always an elevating experience. When this masterpiece composition of Sri Dikshithar in the Queen of Ragas is taken up for detailing, it becomes even more alluring. One question, is the Muthukumaraswamy sannidhanam here a part of the Somaskanda tradition? Thanks again and looking forward to more such divine treatises.

What a wonderful team to bring in the greatness of Shri Muthuswamy Dikshitar - his lyrical constructs and the rAgAs he has composed his kritis also with rhythmic nuances. I am very, very grateful to both Ravi and Madhusudhanan! Will certainly contribute my mite to not just sustain our rich culture ( music, architecture, literature... the list does NOT end here!).
I will urge all the folks who access this site to support in EVERY way, one can! I will keep visiting this site for not just music but also for the wonderful elucidations on the lyrics by Madhu! God bless the duo!

Majestic is the apt word to describe the entire episode. Majestic Temple, Majestic Raga, Majestic Lyrics, Majestic Composer and Majestic Presentation. The interpretation and the analogy given for the phrase "Muthukumara Janamim" is brilliant. Could feel the divinity while watching the episode and it made me feel that I am also there in that venue. Kudos to the entire team.

Excellent rendition and explanation. If I may add one more aspect you can look at the first beejakshara of Bala Mantra is an amalgam of the first letters of the four Vedas. That seems to be the hint in anu Pallavi. Moreover Bala mantra dhyana Shloka starts with Aruna
