I enjoyed your video 😊 thanks for sharing. I planted 15 different beans and today they germinated and I made a short video of it. I was excited because they are a bag of supermarket beans. Have a great day and happy gardening 🌿🌱😊🤗
Thank you! Happy to hear that! Awesome! I’ll have to come check out your video! It’s amazing what will grow from things you get from the supermarket! Gardening is so exciting! Have a great day and happy growing to you as well!
I'm getting ready to put my sweet potato slips in the dirt now. Thanks for sharing and I pray blessings for a great harvest.🙏💚

Hey Asia! Your seedlings look great and those sweet potato slips are OUT OF CONTROL. But I love it! 🤣I've been removing slips from my potato and rooting them in water as well. Great update!
Hey Nikki! Thank you!! Lol yes they are. O yay! Happy slipping!! 🤣
Awwwww the fur baby say play with me please 🤣#blessings
Lol she loves to play! Blessing to you as well!
Great video as always. You are inspiring me to try sweet potatoes this year. I am one of those gardeners who started their carrots indoors. It was a couple of years ago and I started them in Jiffy 36mm peat pellets. I had already heard you're not supposed to transplant them once you start, but I had never grown carrots and was just trying things. Not only was I successful, but I also had better germination with the indoor method and a great harvest. No loss with transplanting. I used the peat pellets because I figured there would be minimal disturbance of their roots when I transplanted, I did have to thin them out eventually but that's normal.
Thank you! O yay! Good luck and happy growing. Sweet potatoes are beautiful while growing and fun to dig! O wow! That’s awesome! I’m happy to hear you had a positive growing experience. I’ve seen a few ppl do it successfully on TH-cam.
Wow! That's a lot of work. Now I know what I need to do. I am going to try to comit to every day attention. Thanks for showing every step.
Happy to know this video helped! Happy growing!
Hey Asia! I was like...why didn't you plant the luffah in individual cells knowing they don't like their roots disturbed smh😄
Anywho😄I sure could of used a few of those beautiful slips😄
I have some that's been in water since last year😄😂. They're those sweet potatoes that are white inside. My daughter said they were delicious. However, I do have a couple of regular type sweet potatoes sitting in soil.
As always, thanks for sharing!😊
Hey Elwanda! 🤣🤣 I honestly didn’t think half of them were gonna germinate after leaving them in water for almost a week! They seem to be doing well though so I’m happy lol.
If we were closer I’d give you some! Pretty sure I’m going to have more than I need.
Oooo that’s awesome..I’ve never tasted those. Perhaps I’ll see if I can find some. Thanks for the information.
You’re welcome and thank you for the continued support!!
I love pit bulls. They are the most affectionate dorky dogs!
Yes they are lol. She’s a sweetie. I love seeing Freya in your videos.
Had to watch this to get more information on my potato slips. I have them in water now but I needed more help to make sure I was doing it right.
Oh goodness, been so busy. Going binge the 5 eps I've missed.
No worries! I totally understand!! Thanks for the support!
TY! Learned several refreashers about up potting.
You’re welcome! Happy to hear the video was helpful!
Thank you for the tip about the free pot at Lowe’s. I’m gonna check mine out this weekend.
Perfect timing
I had no idea what to do with the slips on sweet potato slips or temperature
Awesome! Happy to hear this was helpful!
I love your passion for your plants. When separating multiple seedlings that are root bound you can remove from seed cell, soak in water and each plant will easily separate without disturbing the root. Happy Gardening.
Thank you! I really enjoy gardening! Awesome! Thank you for the tip! Happy gardening to you!!
Nice video. I potted up some seedlings. Have some in greenhouse until I can put them out in growbags. I trying wait because we have low temps coming. Try wait til next week or just go for it. My lettuce came thru artic freeze. Take care
Thank you! Nice! The greenhouse is so nice to have. What zone are you in? We still have some nights in the high 20s coming our way too. Happy to hear your lettuce made it through! Take care as well!
@@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead i am in zone 7a . So far plants been fine I covered them in green house. Plan cover them once they are in raised beds just case really cold nights. Thanks
All your seedlings look great. I get nervous separating seedlings too. I feel like I'm ripping out the roots but they are always fine.
Thank you! Totally understand the feeling lol
Girl, I just made it with my sweet potatoes. My last frost is March 12th & the potatoes had to go out, they were just Vining everywhere.
Glad you made it! The sweet potato vines for go wild lol.
Your seedlings look very healthy
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing, I'm trying to wait for warm weather to start some things
You’re welcome! Totally understand. I’ve been pacing myself this year as well!
Your fury baby girl is too funny. Sophie does the same exact thing ~ she gotta be right in the MIDDLE of whatever I am doing😂 Ah oh.......where's your gloves LOL?? I can't wait to start me some sweet potatoes. WOW........17 "slips" that's awesome. I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing all your garden tips!
Lol the fur babies don’t care about what we need to get done they just want love 🤣. Sometimes I forget my gloves 🤦🏾♀️ I prefer to work without the really. Thank you! Happy you like them!
I can see why your garden grows so abundantly. You treat them with TLC. ❤️

Awww your puppy wanted attention 😄 True you don't have to follow all rules of Gardening . I start my corn in doors and plant them out later. Happy growing
Lol she always does! She is big baby. I love her! Yep! I break a lot of rules and most times it works out. Very nice! There’s definitely always more than one way to get a harvest In gardening. Happy growing to you as well!
Nice looking eggplant. I grow the Japanese Ichiban & they're great for stir fry.
Oh yes, that 511 is highly fragrant 😄😄😄
Thank you! I’ll have to try that variety. Are they long or the larger variety? Lol yes yes it is! I’ll be fertilizing again tomorrow.
@Yellow Door Urban Homestead Yes, long & slinder. Like an English cucumber.
Thanks for sharing 💜
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Those slips look awesome. Is it best to direct sow swiss chard?
Thank you! I’ve never direct sown mine and they do well. I believe they’d do well either way honestly.
Did you ever think about trying the water method with the loofah? (Placing putting the roots in the water and separating them apart the roots)
I had not but someone mentioned it in an earlier comment. I’ll have to try that the next time. Thank you for the tip. They appear to be doing well though 🤞🏾
My sweet potato slips looking weird
They’ll bounce into the normal soon I hope!
Imma have to ask my store for containers I been using foam paper cups
O yes, Lowes in my area gladly gives them away!

Totally understand. I always forget my gloves.
🥰🥰😍😍😋😋
Sweet potato slips...so about 6 weeks ago I bought some Aldi sweet potatoes, put them in some dirt in my window and still no slips? The potatoes rooted but no slips. Do I need to use organic or does it really take that long to get slips?
Last year I purchased non organic sweet potatoes and they did just fine making slips. This year I experienced the same thing you did. They don’t have to be organic. It may just be a luck of the draw type of situation unfortunately. I noticed slips maybe three or four weeks after planting. I hope this helps.
