Yes, I wish that FL and others would give us the option to know what the books will be. I have gotten multiple copies before from WS because I didn't realize it would be the book for FL. Which is to say that FL is definitely the box for me because they are sending books that I am interested in. lol
If you want to know what future book box books might be follow theautumnbookreads on insta! They post their thoughts based on the clues given and they are pretty much always right!! I use them to know whether to skip or not! ❤
OMG so many books! Now I feel better about my YALC/London Haul. 😂 Love to see so much new manga. Murder in the family sounds great. Adding that to my list.
Twillight out of focus is one of my favorite BLs of all time! And it does have a sequel. Moriarty the Patriot and Dorohedoro are both amazing stories, great choices!
The Ballad of Black Tom was really interesting! The audio book is great. If you don't want to read the whole Shades of Magic series again, she did a video series going over all of them in prep for threads release. Loved them.
You can definitely read Twilight Out of Focus as a stand-alone and I think it was one for the longest time but now it is slated to have 4 volumes and I think 3 are out already.
Just saw Ibitsu in Waterstones so obvious brought it despite having a massive lot of books to already get through. Never heard of it before your video, thank you.
I just finished The Chalice of the Gods and technically you can read it as book 6 of the PJO series, but I recommend reading The Heroes of Olympus first because it just explains the state of mind Percy is in, and some minor refferences make more sense. Technically it doesn’t spoil that series very much though. There’s nothing in this one particular book that needs you to have read The Trials of Apollo yet though. Hope this helps!
Old Fashioned Cupcake is so cute! It has a live action adaptation that I've seen and its honestly adorable. The age difference is I think 10 years, so not too bad, 39 and 29. From what I recall of the live action, not problematic.
I've been reading and loving the Sanderson secret novels, loved the first three, I've heard that the sunlit man takes place after all of the stormlight archive books, and fans are saying that it's necessary to read those books first.
FUN (and unnecessary) fact : I had a pet goat when I was young that was raised in the house. I named him YuGi. I grew up watching YuGi Oh, Dragon Ball, and my all time favorite Sailor Moon. I am looking forward to you reading them I may have to get copies to read along.
Two manga series that i like but dont see anyone talk about much are Sherlock Bones and Delicious in Dungeon. I've only read the first volume of SB cause its the only one my skl library had but loved it. It's basically sherlock homes reincarnated as a puppy. And Delicious in Dungeon I've read the first maybe 5 or 6 volumes. Its basically fantasy, adventure. Both not very well known but fun series. (I thought so anyway🙂)
Time to add more books to my TBR that I don't need😂 Also, you can read Chalice Of The Gods after reading Heroes of Olympus and before reading Trials of Apollo if that makes sense
Dragonball was the first manga I read but didn't finish reading it all because I binged all the anime so far, and Naruto was the first Anime I watched,
I saw black iris in an Elias vid and I’ve ordered a few of the authors books-apparently the 4 books are like a series. The characters pop up throughout. Black iris is expensive rn tho argh!
Twilight outfocus isn't a one shot. It has a second volume and two sequels with different protagonists in the same world. All very good from a fujoshi point of few. Twilight outfocus 1+2 Afterimage slow motion And midnight monologue 🤍
I was going to pick up twilight out of focus a few days ago but bought if you'll have me instead. A cute read so far and its been a while since I've read something that made me laugh.
You should also read Magnus chase and the Gods of Asgard as well. One, he is related to a character (last name is the hint). And two, Percy show up too in the third I believe. And three book one and two intertwine with trails of apollo book one and two. If I remember correctly. Kane Chronicles are good too, especially when you read demigods and magicians short book.
There's six Dune books, by Frank Herbert. I don't think I've ever seen anyone recommend the last two though. I like Dune, but every time I reread it, I notice more problematic stuff, so I wouldn't recommend expecting the best SF book ever when you read it.
Promise of Blood is so good, i wish more people knew about it. i hope you like the series 🥰 and Victor LaValle is also amazing, felt so eerie and uneasy, true cosmic horror. i'd recommend Lovecraft but sadly cosmic horror daddy is very ugh to read
Well, now I need to read "All Hallows". I actually just won an arc of Christopher Golden's, "The House of Last Resort." Which is due out in January & I realllyy don't know what i got myself into.😅😬
Glad to see you picked up volumes 3 and 4 of the Orochi manga series. On top of that I haven't read Moriarty and The Patriot; but I am reading the complete canon of Sherlock Holmes. I couldn't wait so long to read a book, once I find a book I like or know I'm going to love i gotta dive into it immediatly. 🙂❤📚
Ooh Im so excited to see how you find Dragonball/Dragonball Z. I grew up with Z and didnt get round to the original until I was in my 20s (love both but Z is the far superior of the set) Im totally loving your manga journey, got me right back into manga so I'll thank you for that. You are gonna love JoJos I think however Phantom Blood isnt the best, its good but part 2 with Joseph is honestly the right mix of camp, macho and fun !
You asked if there would be more Stormlight Archive books, and I almost hate to tell you...there are 10 planned books in the series, two sets of 5 books. 😬Brandon Sanderson has recently said that he's almost finished with book 5. I wouldn't let that hold you back from starting the series though, since it's his best in my opinion!!
Everyone loves moriarty the portrait & dorodehedoro and I am looking forward to reading them as well! I'm watching chainsaw man at the moment but am still not sure how I feel about it 😂 a few episodes in but I think episode 1 (so maybe vol 1) has been the best so far. I am in a very long library queue for the britney spears memoir audiobook. Heartstopper is coming!! I have out there screaming and I am so excited 🥰 I've read a few stories. I am currently reading a taste of darkness and amy mccaw's story in it is good. Agatha christie
I'm early!!! I've watched the anime for Moriarty the Patriot and loved it! Haven't read the manga yet YOU HAVE DOROHEDORO?!?!? YAAAYYY!! One of my favorite manga🫶
Omg, you picked up Dorohedoro! I'm not a huge Manga person, but Dorohedoro somehow was my thing and I recommended it previously. Makes me want to continue right away ^^ I'm excited for your opinion :)
Wow I can’t believe you never watched dragon ball z me and my brother watched it after school I love it so I hope you love it goku and gohan were my favourite
Hi! Just wanted to say thank you for convincing me to start reading manga. I am having so much fun reading Sailor Moon and One Piece. I also wanted to say that I love the new channel name 😊
Somehow I don't want to join you in the adventure into middle grade books. My temples are not grey yet but still I think my middle grade is way behind me...or maybe I need to wait another decade to slide into the kid's literature...again!
Currently buying a couple of books on Kindle because they're cheap and in my price range. Enjoying watching your purchases especially as my bank balance isn't ruined 😂❤
I wish I had purchased this many books to keep me warm lmao
I just pile them on top of me to keep the warmth. A little heavy but still
@@GavinReadsItAll *weighted blanket*
Gavin really does read it all! So excited for all of these!!!
Already the channel name fits 🙌🏼
At least someone buys books. Unfortunately, it's not me.
Sidenote: Moriarty the Patriot is awesome!
I’ll buy the books for you
@@GavinReadsItAll I'll live vicariously through you then
The Thursday Murder Club is so good, would highly recommend.
Ditto! I have just finished the last one and I loved each and every book in the series. They just seemed to keep getting better! 📖
Yes, I wish that FL and others would give us the option to know what the books will be. I have gotten multiple copies before from WS because I didn't realize it would be the book for FL. Which is to say that FL is definitely the box for me because they are sending books that I am interested in. lol
All Hallows is a bit of a slow burn at first, but once the scene is set it just explodes and runs for the finish. I loved it!
Old fashioned cupcake has a drama and its so good! Recommend watching it.
I got so excited that you picked up the first volume of Moriarty The Patriot. It's so good.
I love Moriarty the Patriot!
Black Iris is a book I was interested in a while back, looking forward to your vlog!
Loving the channel name
Thank you for including A Taste of Darkness! Hope you have fun with it. Let me know if you want more anthology recs!
Murder at Holly House looks so pretty! It sounds intriguing too! So many gorgeous books!

I was looking for this comment, I use the same account! Autumn is lovely
I loved dragon ball. My son and I used to watch it before school every day. Bback in the early 2000s
I only started watching this video for background noise, but I see you have that beautiful Inkheart edition on the shelf, so now i'm following.
OMG so many books! Now I feel better about my YALC/London Haul. 😂 Love to see so much new manga.

Oh perfect, thanks for the heads up on that!
I loved Retuned to Oz movie too. Soooooo good. Love the Oz books but like the movies better.
Dorohedoro is amazing with a great art style! Old-fashioned cupcake is really sweet with a non-problematic age-gap so no fear!
I feel so similar about special editions. I keep getting emails about releases and I just grit my teeth and delete them. 😭
The Vampire Dairy books are sooooo good. You’ll like them. I also have such bad fomo about SE and keep buying them too. 😂
You can definitely read Twilight Out of Focus as a stand-alone and I think it was one for the longest time but now it is slated to have 4 volumes and I think 3 are out already.

Moriarty is a good one I really like the anime and the mango the mysteries are really cool.

You're making me want to start reading manga again!
Do it, it’s so much fun!
Okay, these wintry MGs really make me want to dive back into MG. I got a bit burnt out on it, but I'm actually excited about many of these!
So much fun! Those books are so beautiful that they need to contain great stories!!!
Murder in the Family is soooo good! The twists! OMG! So twisty.
I did not know the final Malamander book was out. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
You should put the slip cover of the Waterstones version on top of the one with the sprayed edges :3
Wow!! What a haul 😍😍 now I’m gonna add loads of these to my TBR!
Hey, Gavin! Loving the book haul and loving the new TH-cam name. It’s very you!
Cried tears of joy with your purchase of Laid Back Camp and Moriarty the Patriot

THAT CIRCE COVER 😲😍
The Stormlight Archive is planned to be 10 books, with a time jump after book 5 (releasing next November)
Time to add more books to my TBR that I don't need😂
Also, you can read Chalice Of The Gods after reading Heroes of Olympus and before reading Trials of Apollo if that makes sense
I read Dragon Ball in the digital edition "coloured" it's was really good
Dragonball was the first manga I read but didn't finish reading it all because I binged all the anime so far, and Naruto was the first Anime I watched,
Yugioh is definitely worth it! Also check out the OG anime series with 5 seasons. Even GX is pretty good. ❤️
I saw black iris in an Elias vid and I’ve ordered a few of the authors books-apparently the 4 books are like a series. The characters pop up throughout. Black iris is expensive rn tho argh!
Morgan from Movie Flame said in his office tour vid the Chalice of the Gods takes place after the Heroes of Olympus series
Ahhh I’ll read that series first before the Chalice of the Gods then
@@GavinReadsItAll That's what I'm planning on doing after I finish rereading this series and the OG five PJ books lol

I got Murder in the Family too! You should do a patreon solve along!!
The Man in the Brown Suit is my favorite Christie book! I hope you'll report back after you read it.
I actually read House of Shivers before its release and ended up really enjoying it! I am definitely interested to hear your thoughts, Gav!

OMG I haven’t read Yu-Gi-Oh! in a long time, I do remember enjoying them when I was younger. And Moriarty the Patriot is a good manga to!
now the first thought I had was ...... where is he gonna find the space for this many new books
i got the 2nd book of the blair witch files and i read it and after i read the hole book i found out it was the second book of a series

If you Google the fl editions someone has usually worked out what they are.
If you haven't read the manga series Bokurano Ours I think you would like it. And they are quick reads.
