You have some great looking fish there and your new pond is looking amazing. Your Kohaku, I particularly like with the white band stretching across and out through the fins. Looking forward to seeing all the tweaks and finishing touches. Great video.
The amount of k1 you need in your moving bed is directly related to the amount of food you feed 50l of k1 250g of food a day bear in mind you also have a bakki shower .. too much k1 will cause trace nitrite in your pond so intil yove got that all matured up with the bakki shower i wouldnt add more
@koicentralofficial too much surface area with not enough bacteria to populate it causes a weak biofilm with not enough food competition to force strong bacteria .. if you have less surface area the competition for space is greater and only the strong survive
@koicentralofficial think of it like a pond with a high stocking level throw in a small handful of pellets and only the strongest fastest ones get to eat the others get left behind.. then take a pond with a low density and chuck in 2 handfuls of food they almost ignore it because they know there will be some there later
