SUVs have a ton of utility. If you just go to work and the grocery store, get a Carolla. Those of us who use our vehicle for more will consider something like this. Also, while just an opinion, I think it looks great. Much better than the rest of the current market.

@@imhaydenmelrose Do they? My Volvo station wagon can and has swallowed a fridge. Also low enough to reach the roof rack with ease (how many suv's can you do that with?). It isn't top heavy, you don't need to drop the back seats to get a good load in and seat five. And far better handling and better looking.

@@steveb6386 It's very simple math. A station wagon does have more room than a normal sedan, but an SUV even more so. You're not really proving anything there.
If you need something on the top rack, just use the side step. Well equipped SUVs (usually for overlanding purposes) also tend to have a small ladder in the back. That's a non-issue for most.
SUVs have quite good handling for their size these days, but I'll give that one to you. A wagon will have better handling generally speaking.
"Better looking" is subjective, but I completely disagree. I think station wagons tend to be some of the ugliest vehicles on the road. It's like driving around a hearse. There are some exceptions to this (I don't mind how the Outback looks), but in general, I much prefer the looks of an SUV. The general public - at least in the US - seems to agree with this. Though, that's personal bias on either account.
