- Making progress on the rescued greenhouse and transformed cistern in spite of the nonstop rain!
We live in a medieval castle with a huge, derelict estate in southern France. Follow our ambitious garden projects, from vineyards to formal gardens, tropical plants to self-sustainability. Our project is enormous and our enthusiasm contagious. We'd love you to join us.

Rain, rain go away! The stonework is going to be beautiful and Margot has really developed a passion for working with stones. She’s leaving her mark on the gardens of Chateau de Rosieres! Marc’s water system is brilliant. I’m very happy to hear that he is on the mend and following doctors orders. ❤
Who is Margo? Is she a relative?
@@gaynordyer7822 Au pair and helper, not related afaia
Watching Clement helping Margot brought back so many memories of being 2 years old and helping my dad to build a stone patio. I sold him the stones for 6s/6d each ( it was the only sum of money I knew at the time), I would also help him mix cement, making sure that the water didnt run away then pinch his buckets to collect worms in or frogs , dependent upon which was more plentiful at the time. My dog even got in on the act by bringing frogs to me in his mouth ( totally unharmed as he was very gentle with them). My dad died last December and it was a wonderful reminder of times gone by. Thanks Margot and Clement!❤❤
Thank you for sharing that! What a lovely story.
Marc's water system is going to be amazing. And Margo is leaving her mark on the chateau.
Best wishes Marc and hope you have a speedy recovery.
Lots of progress in your different areas, glad to hear Marc is also progressing in his recovery. Don’t forget to look after yourself as well Amy. ❤❤
The stonework is looking great. Margot has the touch and Clement is a terrific helper. Hope Marc is feeling better. ❤
Lots of progress made in all areas! Great work Marc and Margot! Hope Marc’s healing progress is going well’
Margo is a GREAT JOYFUL worker. A blessing.
Love the stone path Margot is making. Glad Marc is recovering ❤️🩹 well. He needs to take all that’s required to heal properly. That watering system and greenhouse will be beautiful and efficient 😍😘
Margo is doing a brilliant job with the rock path. 👏
Great job on the path so far and just cleaning the shed helps tremendously. Can’t wait to see the water system completed!
BEST TO YOU
Nobody does such great work with rocks and boulders like Margot and Marc! You just need some dry days to finish this project. 😮
Margo does love her stones doesn’t she 😁 it’ll look great when it’s finished 😁
Glad Marc is getting better. I love how you re-purpose old Medieval building stones, Margo is a great stone walk builder, she found the good flat top rock to use. Clement is lending a hand and will be a great helper as he learns while he grows.
Beautiful video. The irises at the end are lovely. ❤
It's really interesting to see how Marc has thought through each particular function on the grounds and outbuildings of the chateau. He certainly has an engineering mind! Just need to keep him from getting injured and keep him out of hospital! 😊 Hope the recovery is going smoothly.
have enjoyed following the rock/stone landing/path/stairs...thank you for sharing
It becomes more amazing with every step! ♥️♥️♥️
Awesome progress. Clement and Grandma and all seem to have really enjoyed it.
Marc, I hope you are healing well.❤
Margot just love watching you do magic with the stones 🤗👍
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Marc, you certainly need a break from all the rain. Missed seeing Amy today, I guess she has been working in the family room on the ground floor. Kathy USA 🇺🇸
Marc is such a handy man to have around. Marc needs a bucket to carry his tools, very trendy in the US. It's so nice to see Marc share his digger.
Thank you for the update on Marc. All the best in his continued recovery. Love the landscaping!!
I love everyone’s work ethic.
With time lapse/previous film it is hard to see who is OK. But I hope everyone is OK and doing well?
If foot injuries are a problem, I would recommend steel toe leather boots - bit expensive, but they can reduce hospital costs/time!
Thx for bringing us along. 😊😊😊
John Ken
Hi John, this was all filmed before the accident, but everybody is doing ok now. The injury was above the foot but I do keep working on Marc to wear his steel toe capped boots (he has them!)
Best wishes to Marc again and thank you for editing this retrospective. 🥰
Looking Great! Get well soon Marc!
cleaning out the water house i cant believe u walked around the ladder the whole time. lol
Marc, give in and have multiple sets of tools in different areas of the estate. Convenience is important to you because you have so many different projects going on simultaneously all over the estate. Your time is more important than a few extra euros for multiple tools!
I just love all of the music you choose for these videos, Amy ...
It makes watching just that much better!
💞
Every time you see Margo's rock creations, it will bring back wonderful memories of her time at Rosieres. 🥰
Go Margot go!
Margot is a treasure. I bet you'd adopt her if she'd let you.
Wow guys, looks lovely. As in the UK,fed up with the rain I expected. Love to all K🇬🇧❤️
Every Chateau needs a Margot!
Hard graft, but very satisfying in the end!
Looking great!
Can I please borrow Margot for some heavy duty chores around the house? What a trooper!
I get your posts on a Sunday morning in NZ, which I really look forward to. A lazy morning with brunch and catching up on your latest escapades. I love Sundays.
That's lovely! I'm so glad you enjoy them!
You guys deserve 100k subs for the amazing videos....come on people
Thank you so much 😀
So glad to hear that Marc is recouperating. That means a lot.
A very successful recovery to you, Marc (sp?) and make sure to ease back slowly with care and rest.
i like your sound track ami.
Awesome❤
Margo is really creative with those stones looking forward to seeing it finished
Marc is so smart. He seems to be good at everything.😊
👍🏻👍🏻
Gorgeous office and boudoir thanks to your inspired moving team and path scaling by Margo and Marc plus Supervisor Clement❤❤❤
How will you manage without Margo ?
Lovely to see a new video. Even better to hear Mark is recovering well.
I love how the gardens are coming together.
So will there be a 2 piece WC in the greenhouse so then anyone working won't have far to go or is there a close one? I love that Chateau de Rosieres is so self sustainable in a lot of ways would you ever implement solar power or have you already? Good on you Margot and Amy's Mum always interesting to try new things :) Clement is such a great little helper wherever he is :) I would have thought a metal inset rebar or other would help keep the stone in place than a larger stone. Well done #teamRosieres #letsgetRosieresto20k
How are things at the new vineyard?
IY's good to see intelligence at work.
I need a Margo!
What accident? So frustrating when announcements are not explained? Glad everything is ok.😮
Look for the previous video. She explains it all.
I posted last week and linked to a video on our other channel where I explained.
Howdy from HOT Texas!

Qu'est-ce qu'il a grandi votre fils !
What are the dark patches on the blue wall. Is there humidity coming through?
Behind that wall is the large cistern that we put in. The hole behind it hasn't been filled in yet because we have other work to do in that area, so some water comes through when it rains.
Good morning from Bulgaria, what is the music from approximately 15 minutes onwards .. merci
Hi there! We use music from a database called Epidemic Sound, which produces music specifically for content creators like this. So it isn't a publicly available track I'm afraid.
