Just bought 24 premium cx-5 in Platinum Quartz. Love the low end power of turbo plus all the comforts of a/c seats and the comfortable drivers seat. Also have a 21 Carbon w/o turbo and it’s going strong.

I really wanted the Premium Plus especially with the price drop but now I'm not sure, maybe I'll go with the Preferred.

Lastly, I was reading that to use the Info center console you have to use a knob to scroll around......rather than have a touch screen. Is this difficult to get used to? Thanks

The Premium Plus trim has a lot to offer. Except for fuel economy - 23 mpg city. Since I'll be doing a lot of city driving, this car may not work for me.
I own the naturally aspirated CX5. No turbos for me. Turbos take the life out of an engine. Did Mazda address the issue on turbo models having to replace the exhaust valve seals? Extending the warranty is not the answer. Cylinder deactivation = problems.
@@Monkles9000it’s not a lot actually. The numbers went down but the majority like the tech. And yes, some ppl do. And that is okay. It’s what Mazda centers their vehicles on. The driving experience with minimal distractions. There are tech that really enhances driving experience and safety, and Mazda doesn’t have that. Hence why I said it’s outdated. I don’t really see the logic as to why ppl like u don’t like bigger screens. I mean there is nothing wrong with old school systems, but why object to being safer and more comfortable is beyond me. To each their own.
I guess the CX-5 redesign for 2025 is now delayed until 2026. That is when a Mazda designed hybrid model (battery designed by Mazda, not Toyota as in the CX-50) was supposed to launch. It appears that the battery is not ready for production so it is delayed for another year. Maybe we see it in 2026. I own a 2023 which is essentially the same as this car (and the design of this model goes back to 2017, and it is the same powertrain back to 2012 - or now in its 15 year on the standard engine (not turbo).

I still have my 2017, which was the re-design back then. Going into the 2025's now. This has gone 8 years without a redesign. When the heck are they going to do it? Too long in my opinion. Time to buy a new car, and I had hoped to get another CX-5, but I won't do it since this body should be at the end of its run. Happy but annoyed Mazda fan.
I was really hoping for some new tech, like new lane assist, closer to Toyota to get it in and working before the new model comes out next year. Mazda is so far behind the others with this feature.
We have a 2016 CX5 with the 2.5 non turbo. Must admit it has been a great vehicle EXCEPT for the mileage. Absolutely terrible. We need a hybrid be it the Toyota version or from Mazda. Until then we won't be upgrading.

I would like them to bump the base HP of the naturally aspeirated 2.5 say with 93 octane get like a 5hp and 10ft-lbs of torque bump and keep this up every 2-3 years till they are either all hybrid or electric. I dont see them working on another 4 cylnder engine anytime soon.

Per my research if the 8th letter of the vin has the letter L it does not have the cylinder deactivation.
The fact that I can’t get whatever color I want in the highest trim is baffling to me 😭 I love the polymetal gray but I want the 360 camera

2025 is kinda a disappointment for new cx5 uodates. My biggest pet peeve is no new colors.
I got a 24 cx5 carbon edition.. is the mazda app only a limited trial then. Salesman didnt mention that when he helped me install the app on my phone
