Whenever I hear someone say "this is my first time hearing Tool" I get a big grin on my face because I know what they have in store. IMO, their drummer, Danny Carey, is the greatest living rock drummer. Maynard's vocals are amazing as well. If you really want a treat, watch the "Danny Carey | "Pneuma" by Tool (LIVE IN CONCERT)" video. It is a drum cam and watching Danny work will leave your draw dropped - I promise!

My greatest joy other then seeing them live or listening everyday to TOOL is seeing TH-cam TOOL reactions.
The reason I say this is bc it takes me back 34 years the first time I ever heard them & seeing any TOOL reactions on TH-cam reinforce & reinvigorate my intense hardcore love for my fav band!🤘🏼
My only regret I have is not being able to take all these reviewers with me to see them live hypothetically speaking.
If I could transfer all my live concert TOOL moments/memories for all of you it would change ya life like it has mine.
Nothing makes me happier to see these reactions I get very sentimental 🥺🥹 seeing any new person live to love my fav band just as much as me. 😁🤗

Tool songs are masterpieces Tool is known for having longer songs with odd time signatures. Maynard ( the lead singer) and Tool sees his voice as an instrument in the band vocals can be back in the mix or more forward everything they do is intended with vocals falling out of the songs to let other instruments shine as well. They’re master musicians

YOU'VE DONE IT NOW, IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY! Welcome to the world of TOOL! You mentioned key words that describe TOOL perfectly, "Depth, transitional, great vocals, bass, superb drums, clean, powerful, beautiful, raw talent." If it isn't evident yet, TOOL is my favorite band and has been from their very first album. It makes me emotional to watch people react to TOOL for the first time. TOOL is more like a living breathing organism than a musical group, and believe their music to be in it's own category and can't be compartmentalized, nor can their fans. Other people have already commented on so many of their great songs, but I would be remiss If I didn't add my own. Check out: "TOOL - Sober Live (Pro Shot) Remastered, Sober(Lyrics), TOOL - Aenema(Lyrics). TOOL - Vicarious(Lyrics), TOOL - Stinkfist(Lyrics), TOOL - Forty Six & 2(Lyrics), TOOL - Schism(Lyrics Video), TOOL - Lateralus(Lyrics), and TOOL - Jambi(Lyrics)." Those are some biggies, but songs that others have commented on are excellent choices too. So many good comments, TOOL fans are the greatest! One of my favorite songs by TOOL is the song "HUSH," but it has some very strong adult language(more than usual), so be aware of that. Strong language doesn't bother me for a minute, in fact the song wouldn't be the same without it, but maybe listen to it first and see what you think. Anyway, keep up the great videos and definitely more TOOL please. Another third eye has been opened today, welcome.

You talking about the transitions, that is my favorite. anyway "weeping shades of indigo" and then the songs sort of starts to melt as all the instruments are kind of isolating and doing their own thing and then Danny brings the snare back to keep time and everything aligns once more. It is a bit of musical genius.

Like RUSH, Tool has an understanding of cord and transitional changes no one seen coming but works so well and makes them special that most are blown away!

one of the things tool does really well is transistions, and time changes. they also introduce a rift or theme and as the song goes on they expand on the riff / themes. they have great tone and tension in the music. they only have 5 full length albums and have been around since 1991/1992 i hope you give them a chance cheers

One of the deepest rabbit holes you can get into, and this is one of their most "commercial" songs. Dive in, enjoy. Not a minute wasted when it comes to Tool.

Welcome to Tool's rabbit hole! As you journey through the hole, Tool is awesome with their different & unique songs. All of them are awesome together! Their iconic drummer aka "Octopus" Danny Carey is currently the GOAT right now! There is a drum camera focusing on Danny's skills on the song, Pneuma provided by his signature drum sticks by Vic Firth on here, TH-cam. Stacey, you will see why fans of Tool calls him the "Octopus"

Amazing drummer in his own right, Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy had to learn to play Carey's beats on Pneuma. Channel for TH-cam is Drumeo.

There is not a song in their catalog that will not make you stop and admire the excellence at least once.

I think the most important aspect of tool is the lyrics.
They have some of the deepest most sophisticated and enlightened lyrics i have ever heared in music.
I highly suggest you to think about what he is saying.
I am looking forward to your tool journey!
Have fun, and greetings from Austria ❤

You just listened to one of the best bands ever! Maynard has one of the best voices in rock/metal. Everyone tries to copy the bassist's tone. The guitarist is known for playing great riffs and producing awesome sounds exactly when needed. The drummer is literally considered one is the best in the world.
The entire band maticulously and mathmatically creates every sound, note, and word with purpose. If the vocals are a little in the back that's on purpose. If there is a lengthy transition it's all on purpose. Most Tool songs also have some kind of story or message and can be very deep.
You did it properly though. Never do official or even user created music videos. They are trippy and distracting and have nothing to do with the song. Always have lyrics in front of you. And get ready for odd time signatures.
    Spiral out!
