The lines, _"...You didn't like school, and you know you're nobody's fool... So Welcome to the Machine!"_, always reminds me of when I first heard the song, in the 70's, my best friend had just dropped out of school to go work at the local factory... ...Welcome to the Machine.
@FemboyHasu you have no buisness listening to this. Your profile has the most ignorant narcissistic human being on earth. You are the machine. We rail against the likes of you
i first heard this record in 1975 and after nearly 50 years i am coming round to the realisation that this might be the best "pop" song ever recorded ... seriously
a son becoming a man and taking care of the grind all men on planet earth do everyday to keep the f machine grinding for the betterment of our loved ones.
I've always felt, even as a youth, this song was an example of someone being brought out of earth life into the afterlife, or into the machine construct that creates our reality. The car in the end seems to symbolize racing back to this reality as if the soul was not ready, or wanted more of this reality.
Another great job guys To bad King KTFs reaction to this song wasnt on it was great. Watched Tre and Weeboo as well.. I would say do Dogs but that would take forever lol I enjoy soul trains reactions as well as Jacobs and Just starting to see DCs reactions myself
Im looking forward to it. Dogs is my favorite Pink Floyd song.. I was lucky enough to have seen them 4 times back in the day If you ever get the chance to check out Britt Floyd. Its the closest you will ever get to the real thing.. And To me there is Pink Floyd ad then everyone else.. So it makes your videos even that much more pleasurable.. Thank you again. Skip
@@skipwilliam5639 Yes King KTF unfortunately has a lot of stoppages (breaking the continuity of the other reactors). I really try and avoid any reaction videos that have pausing or stopping for that reason. I have included them before though when there is a lack of non-stop reactions. I hope you understand! Brit Floyd is an amazing (the best I've seen) tribute band, with near perfect replication, as though they were transported from an alternate Pink Floyd universe.
Yes he does I will admit to that.. And its all good I just enjoy seeing reactions from all walks of life to new experiences with the music I grew up with Mostly Anyway keep up the great work Its a total enjoyment seeing the hard work you have done.. Im sure it takes forever to edit it just right
Welcome to the Machine is a hammer to the soul…easily belonging in one of those dark dystopian films like 1984 or Blade Runner. Advice of a bleak future (or present?)
Bridget Law Yep copyright striking can be problematic. One day they (the copyright holders) allow the music upload and take the advert revenue. Then another day they file a copyright claim creating a strike... 3 of these strikes and you're out! The FatherAndSon Reacts channel has been "terminated" 😦 for such violations.
Ok, I hear a lot about "Progressive Rock". What the hell is that, and how can you possibly tie Pink Floyd down to any one genre? They were born a "Blues Band" by their founder, Syd Barrett, naming them after two black Blues musicians from North Carolina, PINK Anderson and FLOYD Council . There is no other band in history that matches up to them aside from using drums and guitars. Not in writing style, recording technique, recording method, subject matter, song structure, metaphoric lyric (They never wrote a love song! Always had something to say). They were unique! A genre unto themselves. I Guess they fit into the 'Blues' category closer than anything else, but even that is a stretch.
boosuedon under Barrett they weren't blues. They were psychedelic. You can't put Pink Floyd in one specific genre. They have elements of funk, rock, reggae, R&B - sometimes in one song. (I.e. Echoes) If you want a mainstream modern band to compare them to then Tool is the best example. I believed they used Pink Floyd's album Meddle as the basis for their debut album. But Progressive rock also creates concept albums, rock opera, etc. A lot of experimental things just as The Beatles did in Sgt. Pepper.
Youll have to Google his name but this was not Waters or Gilmour singing this. Fun fact. Its some singer that shared PKs studio and knew each other and PK was going to shelve it. The Boys couldnt make it work. He offered and worked a fee on the spot with Water, Gilmour Mason handshake. Good interview too.

...Welcome to the Machine.
Progressive rock always makes the listener's smarter.
Prog rock increases brain cells.
I remember hearing this for the first time years ago....and it tripped me and everyone else out. ALL of US. This album is timeless.
Pink Floyd welcomes you...... To the machine!

I love this channel can’t get enough of it 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
As a drug free guy my whole life, this song is what I want to believe being stoned is like.
Getting stoned on acid and listening to Pink Floyd was a life changing experience.... every weekend! 😝🤩
Old School music. This track is quite the roller coaster ride. Richard Wright hammers big time on the synthesizer.
He is the one who makes this song so great. He drove this song.

No one can think up this shit, except Pink Floyd....
This song is the best to trip out space sounds etc voices oh God this song I played over 1000 times in my life

It is about getting screwed by the music business. "the Machine"

there are some great reactions from AC/DC "thunderstruck"....but I understand they are really picky with the copyright issue

Please don't use Sidewinders and Daz again. They talked through most of it...
