LOL!! Singer Alice Cooper, who holds Pink Floyd in High regard, once described there Music 🎶 as, " Them arriving on Earth in there Space ship, and Bringing us there Unique Tunes, and Tour for a while, and then they jump Back in there Ship, and return to There home Planet to write more!"
The song represents the control that record labels excert on their artists, dictating all that they do and all that they say. Thus, welcome to the machine designed to make music executives rich. The song ends with the sound of the record company's elevator heading upwards and the doors opening on a floor where all the company's executives are drinking, laughing and partying on the money they're making. Your Pink Floyd reactions have been great. Keep up the good work.

I’ll tell you, my man. The simple process of you looking up names, context, all that? That’s what reactions are all about. I’m watching you because of the sheer joy of watching someone hear the music I grew up with for the first time. Many just tell viewers to clue them in in the comments...you actually jump into it and want to understand it like I did when I first heard it (granted, no internet then!). Comprehensive, full, and really hearing it. Well played, sir, keep on as you do.
I always find it funny how people watch reactors and then complain when it gets paused expecting to hear it like they are listening to a radio station :D
I got all the kitties to pet while I watch the video. 6 cats never leave a shortage. I suggest, doing The wall as an album review, and Animals as an album review as all songs form the concept. Both by Pink Floyd. You will not be disappointed my friend.
Close.. its Rick (Wright) on the keys. Nick (Mason) is on drums. Speaking of drums. I know your doing Pink Floyd albums in a specific order. But, looking forward to your reaction to Nick’s drum work on Animals. Especially on the song Dogs. He sometimes gets overshadowed especially with David’s incredible guitar and Rick’s amazing keyboards. But, listen for it. Its some incredible drum work going on in that album.
You Hit it right on the nail about anyone can play Synths, guitar, bass and drums but very few can Collaborate to make it OTHER WORLDY....!!! This is Why Pink Floyd are Epic and Timeless.....
Thank you for sharing your reactions. They are so heartfelt + moving + insightful. I was lucky for my older siblings to play me this stuff in the late 80s when I was in high school + I got to see them live a few times (beyond what I could dream). Maybe it’s because I feel like I am working smack dab in the machine some days but I am 50 and this song (as well as the whole album of Animals) still makes me tear up. How they describe the helplessness, the selling of one’s soul, the lack of ways out, the violence we do to each other.
Just subscribed, I've been keeping up on all your Pink Floyd reactions and Iove them man. Keep it up as it's nice to see people expanding their musical genres and you keep it real.

The Animals tour- the Pig with the spotlight eyes....... music and show was legendary. Really. Never be able to forget it. You mentioned how much you love the sounds in the albums- believe it or not in stadiums with this band - you are totally enveloped with sound and vibration. An incredible experience for a teenage girl from Kansas...... 💋Love ya
Don't change, my son, you have the most sincere and intense reactions. I'm an old guy listening to to for nearly half a century and it's so great to see you reacting to your first exposure to it
I think your doing a great job. I like to watch reaction videos of songs I love and see the genuine reaction of someone that has never heard it before. You’re open minded, so I think it will out good, looks good to me. 🎧🥁🎸🎹
You are entering the world of Floyd!!!!! I get why you stopped where you did the exact experience. Floyd has to be felt , if your willing to listen it pulls you in no idea where its going. It was not done it was flowing into wish you were here ......... you missed it........ cheers
first offf...'my whispers are loud' ahahahaha awesome ! sounds like my faimly. as for this song....man...>CHILLING is the only word i can think of. you've reaction to 'shine on...' which opens the album and leads into this. yeah...the start of a RIDICULOUS album. top 10 of all time for me ! as for making those sounds back in the 70.s...you gotta understand that synthesizers were relatively new and people were experimenting....you can even go back to the 60;s and found some insane stuff came out. people did a whole lot with not much techology compared to today. i'm sure most of the peoiple here can list a billion albums that fit that description. i'll mention one. Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland. holy shit. still stands up today, that one blew my head apart (of course, the acid didn't hurt either hahahahahahah). also can't wait until you get to Floyd -Animals. another masterpiece
So glad to see you experience Floyd. Some ppl listen to it but never hear it and if you can't hear it you can't feel it.You got a deep soul man..God bless and love
Pink Floyd's genius has stood the test of time because their brand of music is not only god tier musicianship, but because their music is completely unique and original. No band before or after them has recreated that Pink Floyd feel. You can clone the other greats like Led Zeppelin, Beatles, etc. but trying to recreate a Pink Floyd takes a special kind of genuis.
Artists back then were VERY ahead of their time, it’s mind blowing, and it’s why it will never be beat because they put all of their passion into their music & sounds. Masterpieces!
Welcome to the machine! Alot more to hear. My buddy had bright red carpet and the same color walls, he would get high and listen to Pink Floyd, ha ha. He would come running out of his room , saying 'I can't take it!"
This is going to be LONG WINDED but it's a necessity (I Think lmbo). Here it goes. Again ya nailed it with your 1st remark; "I Feel Like I'm About To Be Abducted By Aliens"!! It's TRUE this musicianship and composition will 'TAKE YOU For A COSMIC RIDE!! WELCOME To Syd Barrett's Descent Into Utter MADNESS!! As this song was Pink Floyds Auditory Expression of Syds minds psychedelic free fall into the Alien Abyss of the Cosmos. In the middle of of the 'Lyric' video for this song it shows pictures of Syd while in Pink Floyd and before. And the lyrics here directly 'Tell' of Syds personal 'Likes' as in what & where he liked to eat along with his favorite Car along with Syds 'Thinking' of life etc. Syds personal 'Influence' never left Pink Floyd as many of the songs are directly devoted to him. Barretts soul seems to have entwined itself into the Members of the band. Even when David Gilmore replaced Syd, Gilmore likewise seemingly was 'Absorbed' by Barrett.. Syds Musicianship is reflected in most ALL of Pink Floyds musical offerings, even decades after Syd went into an utter Psychedelic Self Imposed Madness.. Syd composed & played 'Heavenly Melody's' that turn immediately to a 'Chaotic' Chorus of simi offbeat rhythms with an undertone of 'Haunting Doom'.. It's hard to give all the credit to Syd Barretts personal influence but to remove Syds 'Persona' would equate to NONE of Pink Floyds Greatest Compositions. This takes absolutely nothing away from Roger Waters, David Gilmore and the rest of the members Musicality at all.. BUT they ALL seemed to be used by Syds 'Aura' .. I know it 'Sounds' OUT THERE and it is, thats what Pink Floyds Music is, it's literally 'Out There' and MASTERFUL.. Likewise it seems to me that your last comments of ; "It's Like You Were Tripping & Opened A Door & There Was A Room Full Of People Laughing Etc And You Just Came Back From The Astral Plane An You Don't Even Know Where You Been At Etc" TOTALLY Encompassed the exact message of the song.. Syd went st8 MAD and had moments when he came 'Back' to reality BUT he felt "OUT OF PLACE".. Unable to 'Fit' into our 'Reality'.. He NEVER came back from 'His Astral Time Warp Cosmic Trip'.. He for sure felt 'Empty & Alone', what an utter TRAGITY that has been put into 'Musical Form'..
I am so glad to see that your generation is finding the brilliance of music like Pink Floyd. It honestly fills me with joy. People always think the members of Floyd were just stoners but you should hear the stories from studio musicians who played with them. They could no believe their attitude toward the perfection of every note and sound. They tried to make an album from just noises they could make with household items. They gave up on the idea but it lead them into new places, places that make our heart skip a beat. Please, review Scrapper Blackwell, nobody knows you when your down. It is the absolute perfection of the soul of a musician.
Hi. as you'll know, the album is about Syd Barrett. this track is about the way that the record industry treated both him and the group, as a whole. the sound affects at the end, represent an elevator going up to a room where a party is going on. the actual sound affect, itself, comes from a movie. here, in the UK, many large companies, with sprawling factories, had sirens, to indicate the end of a shift. the voices are all the workers coming together, to leave via the gate. Pink Floyd began their career as an experimental psychedelic band. the keyboard synthesisers became available in the late 60s and the echoplex, big muff etc pedals started to be used around the start of the 70s. Pink Floyd experimented with these things more than anyone else, except, maybe, Jimmy Hendrix.
You're right words don't do it justice. Pink Floyd is unique for sure. Love how they play. David Gilmour is the most melodic player i have heard. Not fast but soulful. Every note and bend is thought out and so melodic. Not so much this song but in his solos.

First time watching. Great reaction, honest and real, you've won a fan
I love your reactions. I like how you really try and understand the music and lyrics, taking an intelligent take on it.
Mr Rah, keep on doing you. Loving your reactions so far. Peace.
Don't worry about the haters , just be your bro ! I love the honesty in your reactions so keep it up and NEVER be afraid of being you
Just here to leave a nice comment. Hope you have a rad day
Aye Michael appreciate ya big dawg you stay blessed brotha 🙏
I always find it funny how people watch reactors and then complain when it gets paused expecting to hear it like they are listening to a radio station :D
Like bruh that's literally what a reaction is lol god bless em and bless you for watchin 🙏
with Pink Floyd you close you eyes sit back and enjoy the trip.....check out shine on you crazy diamond
I got all the kitties to pet while I watch the video. 6 cats never leave a shortage.
I suggest, doing The wall as an album review, and Animals as an album review as all songs form the concept. Both by Pink Floyd.
You will not be disappointed my friend.
Lovin your FLOYD reactions man.
Close.. its Rick (Wright) on the keys.
I really appreciate your videos and thank you for helping to keep good music alive! 🤘
You Hit it right on the nail about anyone can play Synths, guitar, bass and drums but very few can Collaborate to make it OTHER WORLDY....!!! This is Why Pink Floyd are Epic and Timeless.....
This could be your theme song Jay, welcome to our World of Prog/Rock/Blues etc of the 60-80's. Lots more to see and do.
This is such an accurate response. Those sounds cut right through and blow you away. Live it!
Rock on😎
Just subscribed, I've been keeping up on all your Pink Floyd reactions and Iove them man. Keep it up as it's nice to see people expanding their musical genres and you keep it real.
You do you. Who cares about the haters. It's refreshing to see honest reactions instead of people kissing ass for popularity. You have my utmost respect.
Love your reactions. Actual bands and .musical talent that feels partly forgotten today
Best reactions to the best group in rock history! Thanks man!
💋Love ya
Thoroughly enjoy your videos bro. Keep up the fine work!
Your reactions are tight man. Intelligent , thoughtful. Just keep listening to great music.
Tnx, watch out for the next song bro, funky,,,have a cigar
You are entering the world of Floyd!!!!! I get why you stopped where you did the exact experience. Floyd has to be felt , if your willing to listen it pulls you in no idea where its going. It was not done it was flowing into wish you were here ......... you missed it........ cheers
Appreciate ya watchin, bless 🙏
first offf...'my whispers are loud' ahahahaha awesome ! sounds like my faimly. as for this song....man...>CHILLING is the only word i can think of. you've reaction to 'shine on...' which opens the album and leads into this. yeah...the start of a RIDICULOUS album. top 10 of all time for me ! as for making those sounds back in the 70.s...you gotta understand that synthesizers were relatively new and people were experimenting....you can even go back to the 60;s and found some insane stuff came out. people did a whole lot with not much techology compared to today. i'm sure most of the peoiple here can list a billion albums that fit that description. i'll mention one. Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland. holy shit. still stands up today, that one blew my head apart (of course, the acid didn't hurt either hahahahahahah). also can't wait until you get to Floyd -Animals. another masterpiece
Love your attitude. Love your reactions.
So glad to see you experience Floyd. Some ppl listen to it but never hear it and if you can't hear it you can't feel it.You got a deep soul man..God bless and love
Find your path. Happy u going on journey
I’m glad to see the younger generation still trying to appreciate REAL music.
You should see the animated video that they created to accompany this song. Crazy. Takes this epic song to an even higher plane.
Just remember the fist bar that Neil dropped in Tom sawyer! Enjoy your channel bro!!
Man you feel this shit in your physical body and your spirit, just like me. So awesome to watch. Welcome to the Machine, brah. 💜💚💛✌️😊
I love watching people's first reaction to pink floyd. They are from another world. Another dimension.
Artists back then were VERY ahead of their time, it’s mind blowing, and it’s why it will never be beat because they put all of their passion into their music & sounds. Masterpieces!
Love and respect for you bro. You're real and you're honest and that's why I subscribed.
Alight, I'm convinced you're ready for maybe their best song, Dogs. Great reaction.
“Sorrow” from the Pulse Tour is great....long guitar intro! 🎸🎶🔥
Haters gonna hate. We 💖 you Jay.!!! Don’t stop doing what you do; you’re the best!
bringing us back to the Laserium Pink Floyd shows at the local city museum on Friday nights... google it... an experience for sure
My life, music, headphones, Pink Floyd always took me away to another place and time. ✌️
Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb Live at Pulse. The greatest guitar solo in history. And one of the greatest stage and lighting shows at same time.
Amen, if they don't like it they don't have to watch! I Like to see people's real reactions. Thanks for the video.
Pink Floyd resonates with all generations because they make you FEEL something. And isn't that what music is supposed to do?
