    Some experienced pilots may find this long and boring but I was hoping to put some info out there for those doing their research and looking at getting into flying Paramotors. Hope you enjoy!!

      I just moved up to a luna2 but I'm in the market for a silly-safe glider for fun flying in less than ideal conditions so this is informative!

    Just bought a nemo 4 in the same colour. Never flown it before but really excited to fly with it. Just for PG and not PPG. Oh yes, I am a beginner ;)

    I did my training on a Nemo 4...it was great. I decided to buy the Universal 1.1 after training. I figured it would allow even further growth than the Nemo.

      How do you like it

  • @Lontist

    Only thing I like about the bgd are the nice colouring of the wing.
    Dudek stays my favourite. I fly the universal 1.1 its a bit of a old design. Good enough for me though. Jus sight seeing.😁

      I learned on a bgd when I was paragliding, I appreciated its 'no fuss' handling but I loved the colour scheme :)

    I like the vid. I love hearing different people's perspectives on wings. I'm starting in the hobby and fly a 23m Cima PWR. I would love to hear your opinions about this wing if you ever get a chance.

      Have also flown the Cima PWR....great wing, nothing bad to say about it!!

  • @red_shadow23
    @red_shadow23 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not a knock, but from what I understand is that free flight wings do sit back and ppg wings sit more overhead. So it would be hard to do an accurate comparison of the two.
    I have my eye on the Sky Cima PWR. Seems to recover faster from a collaps than the others that I have seen.

    • @grahamlockley4435
      @grahamlockley4435 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      By modern standards the Cima isnt a great wing, not going to knock it but its slightly dated . Collapse recovery isnt something I worry about, half second difference is neither here nor there. More important is how the wing reacts to a collapse.

    Hey Fly Guy! great video! Just curious and wondering if the reason the BDG Magic being a beginner wing hangs back in the air to help prevent over flying during launch thus lessening the chance of a frontal collapse and almost getting your instructors wing chewed up in the prop?🤫But I agree the nemo is a better wing and you would not out grow it as quick as the magic. The Nemo is still at the top of my wish list. As always I enjoyed your insight thanks!

      @fly-guyalberta3605  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could very well be, Magic is still a nice wing and easy to fly🤙🏼

    Thanks for the wing review ! If you are learning to kite a Nemo 4 where should you set the trimmers? i have mine set at 5 but not sure if thats right.

    • @fly-guyalberta3605
      @fly-guyalberta3605  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trimmers should be all the way in to zero unless you are in higher winds

    I fly Swing Sting 2, rather old technology: heavier than new wings which needs commitment! to get in to the air but as soon as airborne, incredible and forgiving. Mine also tends to stay back rather than over my head, although brakes are easy to operate; from your video, I still prefer to fly my A wing rather than BGD. How easy is it to recover Nemo from oscillation?

    • @fly-guyalberta3605
      @fly-guyalberta3605  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Like most a wings if you reduce power and put your hands up the oscillation will self correct

    I understand a guy could stay on a beginner wing forever if that's what they desire but if you had to guess about how many flights before someone could step up to a B rated wing?

    • @fly-guyalberta3605
      @fly-guyalberta3605  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Every pilot has different skills and levels of progression. Maybe somewhere in the area of 200hrs

      Great wing. Currently it is the only one I use to train students on. That said I have been flying for about 6 years and it is still my goto wing as it's just safe and fun to fly.
