Yes, but it's not us "unfairly" comparing it to RDR2. It was IGN who decided to go with the big claims. People at this point are just performing the comparison in a more practical way. :)
Yeah but I think even if you compared it to The Witcher 3 instead, or another Ubisoft game Assassin's Creed Unity, it would still similarly be a bloodbath. The running into people one is utterly unforgivable. I am not being hyperbolic either; during promo videos for AC 1 (WHICH CAME OUT IN 2007!) they spotlighted how Enzio would naturally weave his way through crowds by putting his hand on their shoulder and the individuals in the crowd would move realistically in that space. We are going backwards here…
@MrThecrazyzombie This exactly. Nobody knows what that game would have been. All we ever got was a concept trailer. Also, it's kinda silly to compare basically any rockstar game to any other game. Rockstar has a level of resources that literally no other studio comes close to having. This game may not be as painstakingly detailed as Red Dead. But I personally don't need it to be. As long as it's a fun Star Wars adventure I'll be happy. It's a franchise that is still quite underrepresented in gaming
@@MrThecrazyzombie Because it had better action, voice acting, cutscenes, facial animations, humor and companion in a 13 MIN DEV DEMO THEN "SW:OUTLAWS" ENTIRE 20+HOUR 70$ MEDIOCRE STARWARS/UNCHARTED/GTA BOOTLEG OF A GAME. Need I say more 😁
At this point comparing any open world game with rdr2 would be unfair. Rdr2 had literally ruined gaming for me as now I see every games are half baked especially in term of details and rpg elements
Yeah but the point is outlaws is absolute dog water . You could compare it to most games from like the 2015's and they will blow this game out of the water ,eg mad max 2015 .
The thing is games don't need to be super immersive and detailed like rdr2, but the thing is game should have a unique feel to it, outlaws doesn't have anything that makes it feel unique
Come on. Rockstars budget for these games is basically unlimited because they know they'll make their money back 100x over. They can invest the necessary resources into these details because they have the money and time to do so. Massive Entertainment can't compete with that.
@@Marvin-vs3tu Yeah. They were making The Division 3 at the same time, so i wonder if the main talent were working on that game, while Outlaws were a side project.
It’s really not from what I heard, a guy I know who worked at the one in Singapore back when skull and bones was in development and he said it was absolutely hell with crunch times and unrealistic deadlines, and then having to scrap major portions that had time and effort put into them, I can only assume Ubisofts head people in charge (not the workers) bc I doubt any of the people who actually love games are satisfied with what comes from the games that they have to rush out or gut after putting so much valuable time into them.
@@SteelMckeelZ the biggest part of the situation you're mentioning is the Singaporean government had a contract with them to make the game and a grant was issued. This is done sometimes by certain countries in an effort to boost the nations economy (Poland paid a grant to CDPR for The Witcher). This contract was in danger of breaching so Skull and Bones was just wrapped up and shipped. It probably wouldn't have been a good game no matter how much time was spent, but that's the reason for the "crunch"

They did. There are multiple unique animations. Maybe if you actually played the game and didn't base it in random pointless comparison videos you would know that.
Ubisoft just makes horrible games in general. The last good Ubisoft game was black flag. Update: I bought Star wars outlaw and am currently a third of the way through. I just wanted something new to play, idc say whatever you got to say. Besides the AI in the game, it literally isn't all that bad. IT doesn't deserve that much hate off a couple of videos. Play it for yourself. It's not too bad actually. Remember, days gone was badmouthed intensely when it first came out and now everyone is saying it's one of the best open world zombie games to date and so was cyberpunk for its bugs.. give it a proper chance before assuming... I did, and I'm still man enough to admit i was wrong about this game. Although, I still believe black flag besides this was the last good game they've made.
Far Cry primal on hard core mode is pretty good but that was 2016. Ac 2018 was decent but yeah there recent games are lacking. How are they charging so much for this.
Just in case any Ubisoft developer is seeing this You can suggest not to make any game in 5 or 6 years and work on a proper game whichever you had idea(assassin's,far cry,...) about. Panicking and making multiple games like avatar or star wars isn't going to help you out of this muddy situation
Well the only thing Ubisoft cares about is money and I'm sure they are making lots and lots of it working less in each game they make Valhalla Avatar etc, is sad but is not going to change I'm sure
Ubisoft devs don't get to decide... I doubt they want to churn out as many games as they do. Blame the company instead. All of their games in the past 10 years have been the same car with a different body
Rdr2 gameplay gives me like a warm cozy feeling everytime I watch some. What a great experience it was to play that game, it literally made me feel like I was living through Arthur, there’s nothing like it.
I'm just gonna make a criticism reel here: There's no way they made Kay swing like a drunk and not realize it. "Because she's inexperienced." Honestly I wanna say I admire Outlaw's presentation, but the _execution_ of it is terrible. "Return to the game." Reeeeeal immersive... Let us saddle and name our own banthas and dewbacks, then we can talk about an RDR comparison. It tries to copy RDR's aim, but ends up being a knockoff V.A.T.S. If it just cuts from falling, then why let her be able to fall? Plenty of games with fall safeguards. She falls off a waterfall and just gives a disgruntled "ugh." 😆 She gets eliminated and her ever-faithful companion and the stormtrooper just go on with life as if she never existed. Wow. That speeder glitch thou... how did this even make it out the door? There's just a general load of "like it never happened." The stormtropper carrying on, Nix just doing his own thing, then you're just... back in town. Scout trooper arrests Kay, then scolds her like an angry mother to a child..... seconds after the fact. That's literally backwards. And again, like it never happened. Next thing you know, you're just there like it never happened. Even GTA-types give more of a sense that you bailed-out. The camera pans down on you, and it gives a sense of liberation. But Kay's just there ready to have a showdown at high-noon. It's all just embarrassing. They went for all the things that happen in Rockststar games, but put no detail into it. "Let's make her arrestable." "Ok." In conclusion, this game's development was like giving a 5 year old a professional coloring book to scribble in. The potential detail and mechanics are there, but they're not filled-in. That's all. Hope you have a nice day, may the force be with you, and all that jazz.🤗

That's the problem, different gamers enjoy different type of things.
"Let's make her arrestable." "Ok."
In conclusion, this game's development was like giving a 5 year old a professional coloring book to scribble in. The potential detail and mechanics are there, but they're not filled-in.
