Trying to figure out which dirt bike is best for you? The CRF150R vs CRF150F is a common comparison, but they're two very different bikes that are made for different types of riding.
In this video, I'm going to show you what each bike is, why they may or may not be right for you, and how to choose the best dirt bike based on your needs.

I had a Crf150f as a teenager. I loved it and it fit me well. Still into trail bikes 15 years later. I now have a KLX300R
Very cool, thanks for watching and sharing!
I am 20 years old and I bought a 150f for my first bike rode it about 4 times already with not too much experience and i love it, took it through some enduro trails got it wet even wiped out a ton but it always just starts right back up and even tho my buddies all have 450s i still have a blast. I am considering buying the 150r after i am alot more comfortable riding. Picked my 150f up for $1200 gonna just ride that thing to the ground!
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing :)
Definitely recommend starting on a trail bike my first bike was a crf230f and I loved it and just recently upgraded to a yz125 set up for hairscramble
Sweet, and I'm not surprised that you enjoyed it. The YZ125 is a great bike as well for racing. Thanks for watching, Zander!
the 150f after 05 is actually 15 horse with the e start and also weight a bit less
I use to have a crf150rb and it’s a mini 450 really it’s loves to go on rev limiter but it was a pain in the ass to start sometimes but I sold it to get a Ktm 125sx I just had to go back to a 2 stroke since I grew up on them but a great little bike for fun but now the Ktm is my little fun bike
Yeah, they're a hoot to ride and just keep pulling as you wind them out!
I always wanted to stuff a r motor in the f frame and make a fun trail bike
Started riding last year. I learned on a yz250f. I’m a big guy, still learning the basics.
Cool, thanks for sharing! What's been your #1 frustration so far when it comes to learning?
@@MotocrossHideout shifting and rolling a turn. Knowing when to use the clutch and how to.
Gotcha, you should start with Ep15 on shifting from my beginner series here: th-cam.com/video/jVtGA6rdrFk/w-d-xo.html
And then let me know what you think :)
I have a 150R and a YZ250F i feel like the 150R is like the Toyota Supra of the dirtbike realm lol if you have one then you know these things are sleepers. I use the 150r for trail riding and my 250 for the track. Im 5'7 so the 150R is amazing for small areas with lots of power im also new at riding only about 60hours riding time
Ha, yeah they liked to be revved up high! Welcome to the dirt biking community :)
love my 04 crf150f im 170lb 5'11 fits me fine not to small fun lil bike
Nice! Can't go wrong with em :)
Just wanted to know does the Crf 150r have a hydraulic clutch
No, it's a cable-operated clutch.
Gonna work all this summer and buy a used one do you think it will be a good bike I’m 13 5’3” 115 pounds (it’s also my first bike)
Awesome - yes, the CRF150F trail bike would be a great dirt bike to start on. The 03-05 is kickstart and the 06+ is electric start if that makes a difference.
Let us know when you get one!
@@MotocrossHideout ok man thanks! I will definitely let you know when I get one
I let my friend (he’s been riding sense he was 6) ride my crf150r and looped jt out and had to buy me new rear fenders and exhaust
Whoa, I hope he's okay! These are not to be messed around with, as he quickly found out...
I like the idea of reliability in a HONDA , so the CRF 150 F would be my novice choice , I can ride well (?) but it`s been say , 25 years , I will find out if I still , you know .
We've had a lot of Honda's for that reason, Bryan :)
Are you getting back into dirt biking then?
One day , yes .
@@MotocrossHideout
What's holding you back from getting one now, Bryan?
Its like riding bike...lol. you never forget. You just get rusty😅.
Hope ya make it back out there. Lifes too short.
