They should have called the DLC story "The Kitakami Kid". That would have been a more honest title. We were tricked or clickbaited into thinking "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero" would delve into the mysteries of the lore. What we got was a friendship story instead. Which would have been fine if the base game didn't already have plenty of them.
I totally agree
the terapagos story is the most disapointing for me. Nemona is the Paldean champion yet somehow she didnt get invited to escort the group down area zero but instead Carmine?
Not to mention Nemona is the kind of trainer that Kieran want to be, strong and loved by people.
The story could have been like Nemona go with the group and through the journey she teach Kieran to enjoy battling pkm.
Perhaps
I thought the player and Kieran were the excort while Carmine wqs Blairs assistant or something.
A lot of missed potential. I do wish there where more people focusing on the crater. I would like to see students and staff question about it more. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but there was no major creation to the general public that there was a strange new pokemon in the desert(which is the paradox Donphan). You would think that many students and staff would want to try to uncover it.
Also a more personal thing for me, but I wanted a paradox Lugia so it can be water type.
That would be amazing
@@therealdrogane The first one, the lugia one, or both?
@@justinn8541akaDrPokemon Lugia
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet Remake games they should definitely expand more on Area Zero to answer few lingering questions that fans have right now. Worst part of this is that players will have to wait at least 20+ years to see this content in a remake game.
They may have to change the character designs too like with FRLG, HGSS, and ORAS. Worst case scenario would be copying the already-bad designs from the original like with BDSP. The DP character designs are great, but still.
If ever
Remakes? Lol maybe more dlc
i feel that the Area Zero part for the DLC was a little disappointing. It felt short, rushed and didn't even involved the new paradox pokemon in the story. Worse is that Walking Wake and Iron Leaves remained raid exclusive which annoys me a lot. All story lines in the SV games have room for improvement. But the Area Zero part is what felt lacking a bit.
Agreed
You're wrong
....They solved the glyph. It's a map to where the treasures of ruins are kept.
That was never confirmed. That was just another theory.
Man i still don't even know what paradox pokemon are... and how they got there...
They are from alternative timelines. Go to the Crystal Pool in Kitakami for the explaination.
The unsolved mysteries here remind me of the unsolved mysteries of Kalos.
No they are worse
I low key didn’t like that we gave up going inside buildings for an “open world”.
Like I get it. In real life u can’t just inside places but come in it’s just a game w. Magical monsters
(A lock door won’t keep them out)
Lol
It's werid they would do that once they went open world though
Being stuck to wearing a school uniform even when class is over also does not feel open-world. Anime manage to be better that you are able to see the characters wearing different clothes. The custom options are so limited that they also make the "boy or girl" option pointless when having the same clothes and hairstyles to pick from. Sex dimorphism is important to keep the characters from looking too much of the same.
SV DLCs were missed opportunities.
Very
The DLC is already bad because they are basically telling you "The games are not full," and the service can shut down that you can not enjoy the games at their fullest. Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum are much better.
Its a strech, but i think the plaque is a map of area 0. The top being the above area, the middle being the bottom, the 00 perhaps being the zero lab, or ground 0, and the bottom of the shape being the underdepths. We can infer the 5 middle characters are "area 0"
I also like Ttar's theory that the ruin is a map of paldea to the treasures of ruin.
Perhaps
Im not mad with what we got. The story was nice i dont think pokemon has to have a dark or badass storyline. Slice of life moments are just as fun to me.
The epilogue alone was probably my favorite part
I'm glad you enjoyed it
What do you think about the additional Mythical that will likely be released during the next Movie season? It could be an Ice / Poison type serpent
Will this 2024 Pokémon Movie perhaps be the actual explanation to the in-game story about Area Zero?
These are all rumors right now and typically if a new Myhtical is released in a movie - then it's catapulted ti next Gen
I tried to make analysis videos on the marketing, but I think we should just apply for the marketing department??
The marketing on the game was actually fine. It was the execution
@therealdrogane The marketing was misleading and like you said, they had no intention on explaining the area.
The story and writing has never been that good in pokemon games so i dont care if its shit it has always been lackluster and barebones id rather them just make the game run properly and not remove all th qol changes legends arceus made just to be ignored in SV
The complaining’s getting boring now 😒 the story was great, sure there were a few mysteries left but EVERY Pokemon game has those, yet SV is the only game that seems to get shit for it?? I used to like your content generally but this is getting tiresome now
You may disagree with my opinion but S&V was just simply okay at best. This is my last video on S&V in mostly any regard so if its tiresome for you - then this comment should hopefully make you happy to know.
@@therealdrogane “okay at best” it was the best storyline we’ve ever got for a Pokemon game along with the most content (or close to) - I completely agree with the criticisms people have of the performance/graphics but I fail to see how beyond that it’s bad? If SV is “okay at best” then almost every other Pokemon game by comparison is dogshit (which I don’t believe). A lot of the criticism I see for SV basically amounts to “what I had in my head didn’t happen, therefore BAD” which imo is a bit of a childish take (which is ironic considering at the end of the day it is a children’s game lmao).
Agreed, some of the complaints are getting old. Scarlet and Violet has some of the best characters we've had in a Pokemon game ever.
This game loses points for performance issues. However story wise and gameplay wise, it is one of the better games in the series.
@DaFootyChannel That's really hard to agree with when Pokemon Black & White and Black & White 2 exist.
Also - I never said the characters were bad in this video - in fact I said they were some of the best ever written in the franchise.
But the point of this video was discussing how Area Zero was left unfinished and unsatisfying.
To me I play pokemon games for the lore and pokemon, not so much the characters. When the characters are good that's a bonus to me.
By no means do I hate this game but this game has a lot of problems as well.
maybe don't want to explain because that's the point but done in the wrong way because terrapagos powers
More or less what my comments were in the video

The most annoying thing is the blocked off greyed out area in the top right corner of the map. We all know it connects to southern Kalos. The border of the map goes around the blocked off area so like it had to be something at some point if it’s never gonna be accessible to us
Actually there are some plausible rumors to believe it's Italy.
@@therealdroganeit is based on real life then that's france. And that means one of the answers could be one of the answers could be the Ultimate Weapon
@orsonzedd Nah I've done extensive videos on the Kalos War - the weaponed fired North of Northern Kalos.
We dont know maybe we still get that area... Can see one more full year of Scarlet and violet with a extra dlc area.. dont think they gonna release a new gen this year when we get probably switch 2 this year
It can be both, considering the rushing. It is said that BDSP, Legends: Arceus, and SV were made around the same time like how Sonic '06 and Secret Rings came to be.
People have commented that SV is able to have 1,000 Pokémon. Even then, I still believe that the anime graphics are better that they would allow memory space for the National PokéDex, Exp. Share setting, overworld Ability effects, farming, rematches, and other features. HOME might shut down because it is hard to run the servers, making it reasonable to feature the National PokéDex in future Pokémon games, and just complete the Regional PokéDex for the Shiny Charm.
Home is not shutting down anytime soon. It's only be a staple for a few years and it was built in mind to be apart of Nintendo's future integration.
Gen 9 has frustrated and dissapointed us *equally* with how fresh it felt and how its filled us with hope for the future
Its so wild, and its left me in a place of...reserved slight optimism , where i predict just small asf improvements in some areas , a great surprise , small downgrades , and large baffling downgrade decision in another area.
Regarding Area Zero, Paradox Pokemon, and related items, I think they closed most of all (relevant) lore holes, at least to me, but I also think too little time was spent on them, which can make Area Zero seem like an afterthought story wise.
Hypothetically, one can write another DLC that further explores topics such as Terapagos' abilities, history, how different realities merge, where the AI professor went, how different realities and dimensions fit into this (e.g. the non Mega reality and Ultra Beast realms), are there other places like Crystal Lake that are a source of Terastal energy, is there a giant Terapagos mothership from another reality, etc. but the way Mochi Mayhem ended seems to terminate all possibilities of exploring a unique storyline taking place in Area Zero or Crystal Lake again. The end even concluded with essentially "the Paldeans and BB students had an adventure, but we're only going to tell you it happened rather than show it."
My guess is that the devs were simply too rushed to implement everything possible, including buildings you can walk into, and this is the best we could get given the constraints. Given what we have, I think Pokemon SV is way closer to a flawed masterpiece rather than a sledge pot with some nuggets in it, but it would've been nice to dwell on slme of these would be impactful moments. Oh, and voice acting.
What anime am I seeing here? Is this all from
The new series with liko? Or something different? Looks crispy
Paldean Winds
Some GameFreak Artist: Hmm, seems like adding those 4 circle glyphs down there would be cool.
Some GameFreak Writer: But what's it for? Why was it there?
GF Artist: meh, it's cool to look at.
GF Writer: eh......
Exactly
👏 Promo'SM
I think it just leaves possibility for future games to take place in The scarlet and Violet region in the future.
Well yes
Unanswered story mystery’s in SV
Zelda fans: First time🙂???
Zelda is well crafted though
Tbh I’m fine with what we got. I find it interesting and hilarious that so many Pokémon fans care about this franchise’s lore.
In the DLC it was mostly about the characters specifically Kieran which I don’t get why they could’ve also have a big focus on the lore. I like Pokémon lore but if they don’t really want to answer or go into much detail about stuff I’m not gonna complain.
The one thing that bothers me is the fact that the Paradox Beasts/Justice were underutilized. They could’ve had them in the Area Zero Underdepths as Pokémon you have to defeat in order to progress and you can catch them later during postgame and not have to do Perrin’s underwhelming dlc 2 quest.
Overall I wouldn’t say it’s extremely disappointing since me personally I wasn’t expecting to much imo. I do love the legendaries they added to this game and the lore that was presented. It could’ve been better but also tbf in terms of the lore and story, Pokémon fans kinda overcomplicate the lore into making it seem grander in a huge scale and they start to develop a level of standards when it comes to Pokemon’s lore.
Heck I’d say the theories and speculations are more wild.
Like maybe the DLCs were just a focus on Kieran and what Terapagos’s hidden power is. Like it’s straightforward and that the big mystery is what Terapagos is capable of.
Idk this is just my personal take on it. I do enjoy SV probably one of the best Pokémon games I’ve experienced… but this game is just soooooooooo low quality it just angers me to my core.
I’m taking a break from SV and playing games that are actually well made and polished like Super Mario Bros. Wonder etc.
Same. I feel the dlc was such a waste. Not the symbols exlpained, not Heath focused not even purely A0 focused and Briar was such a useless character. Story would be the same without her if not because she only writes the damn white book.
Fair points
I thought the glyph in the grass was a cryptic map to the stake locations for the treasures of ruin. I might be wrong though.
It 100% is
That was never confirmed.
Feels like pokemon is trying to be the new elder scrolls of lore. We will likely never get an answer to area zero now that the dlc has all be released.
Im definitely not going to stick around another 14 years for the SV remake.
I agree
If Scarlet and Violet ever got a ORAS style remake expanding on Paldea’s lore as a whole then it would be nice.
See you when I'm 57
